I lost my shit when I heard this at ABGT250. I think I started crying it's so amazing. Andrew Bayer just keeps getting better.

Astonishing vocals. Really. Alison May's voice is hauntingly androgynous, genuinely unique and utterly beautiful. This often feels like a lullaby. Gorgeous lyrics with perfect accents and delivery. Paired with Bayer's flawless production skills the resulting track is a show-stopper. Everyone looked spellbound when it was debuted at ABGT250. Those of you complaining about the use of drops or a lack of proggyness as compared with Bayer or Anjuna's other tracks, get off your high horses for a few minutes and just come dance down here with the rest of us. Because above all, this one's just a lot of fun.
Well put, man! Her transitions from normal mode to falsetto fit so perfectly well with the lyrics, makes the content so intensely honest and naked. The idiophone is definitely used to create that calm lullaby-feeling before it develops.

I am as big a Bayer fan as anyone else. I find the lyrics to be truly amazing and the intro is as best as he has ever done but the drop reminds me too much of that EDM poison we've been subjected too for so long. Thumbs up however!

like wtf happened to that style of music they made, those were so legendary.
That's his drop/jump. He's been doing it since like...2015-ish aside from a few interesting pieces. Even then Bayer has grown terribly predictable. He uses xylophone/music box like note plucks on a very similar sounding scale that dates back to "Soul Cry" from his second album, the same very refined kicks, the same rubby bass and big hissing pads after his jump/drop all to the tune of 128.
I've heard really great things about Anjunabeats supporting artists for creative freedom. And considering that makes me wonder if Andrew Bayer isn't being challenged often enough. If this is a part of his next album then my immediate impression is that Mr. Bayer is too inspired to build music for the touring and mainstage and needs a big reminder of the music he has already crafted, especially music surrounding 2010-2013. He didn't fall into traps even for the mainstage with his music. Perth, Detuned, Mirth Mobile, and England all had something unique for the mainstage sound and approached the soundscape with different instrumentations.
And while Andrew Bayer changes it up at least once a year in a way that's interesting (Anamesis EP, Super Human EP), he still seems to fall into his own trappings that makes his work tiring if you only focus on what he does for too long. That's a common thing with many producers though.
