I found that once you learn some basic guidelines and techniques (like centering and placing tendrils and picking alternate pattern repeats) you can basically do anything from scratch that has a natural looking flow it gets easier and easier with practice! Asymmetry will look more appealing than perfect symmetry.

I cannot seem to get my henna paste right. It doesn't come out as smoothly as your henna seems to. I don't know if there's something wrong with my henna paste (I didn't beat/mix it enough) or if the hole of my henna cone is too narrow and that I should cut it out more. What are your recommendations so that my flow can be more consistent?

@@kk83 Yeah, I did that and saw just how clumpy my henna paste was (almost everything) -- the pantyhose idea is a great 2nd test after sifting!

@@lucymorton8705 I prefer to make it instead because the ones sold in cones tend to have chemicals in it, and I do not want to put chemical dyes on my skin and possibly suffer from irritation + blister-like inflammation

Which mehndi do you use? Please tell me. I am really good at designing mehndi but in this Eid I was applying mehndi on my sister's hand and it turned into mess just because I chosed wrong mehndi. 😭
