- Hey everyone! Here is an easy and simple henna design tutorial for the back of the hand. This was for my dear friend Ritu who wanted something nice but with some negative space as well. This was mehndi for Diwali which I know was awhile ago so I am so sorry it has taken me forever to upload! I hope to film more often in the new year, so as always leave your suggestions below! Seeking advice:
My friend’s mother offered to do henna on my hands (and let me wear a traditional sari - if that’s how it’s spelt) for her wedding…which is something I’ve wanted to try & wear for years, because I find it so beautiful. *But lol I’m white.* Worried if I post a photo of it people will freak out about appropriation or something.
This is just one out of countless examples… but I saw what happened to that girl who wore an Asian styled dress to her prom (her photo completely blew up and thousands upon thousands of people sent her horrible messages and even violent threats to her & her family for simply wearing something of another culture. It’s so insane to me lol shouldn’t we be experiencing as much as we can of one another’s cultures/traditions? I really don’t understand why people get so incredibly furious/worked up about it…)

As long as you wear it properly it should be fine, I don’t mind people trying cultural stuff in-fact I’d be happy for them :D

Done this on canvas using charcoal. First time to try. Looks decent 😁 Thank you for the tutorial
A nice lady did the Mehndi on my hand before, but I forgot that it was on the hand I draw with, and I'm obsessed with drawing, but I didn't mind I really loved the Mehndi on my hand it's so beautiful :]

It just takes practice.
If you can do circles ect and basic shapes, you can do it. Practicing on paper 1st, you might be surprised how easy it is.

If you don't have henna you can try practicing with acrylic paint in a henna cone and practice on paper, at least until you can get your hands on some henna!

So beautiful! How do you manage to get your henna to flow so smoothly out of the cone? I followed your tutorial and my henna is too watery in some cones … do you have any more indicators for knowing when you’ve added enough water to the paste?
Also, does anyone have any tips for a first henna booking, or items to take with you on a henna booking? Thank you :)
If you are having trouble trying to measure how much water to add and you’re not really getting it right, I recommend getting the already made henna that you can buy in a cone just like that and it comes in paste form. All you have to do is poke a hole at the tip and apply it!!
@@mathanyabdo8515 Thank you for your advice! I do buy pre-made cones and have bought many in the past, but it works out too expensive and also I find the stain is better with the cones I make myself!

It's not a pen, it's a henna cone. You can buy it from any natural henna artist, just beware of the premade henna cones made by big brands, those are full of toxics

Hello I really wanted opinion from people cuz this is something I really want to do but dont know if its allowed. So I practice hellenic paganism meaning I follow the greek pantheon. And I'm getting married next year. I was wondering if it would be wrong of me to create my own design around my practice and beliefs and use henna as a art medium for it. I know bridal henna is already a thing just not for me since I'm not part of that culture. I really needed opinions because I would hate to do something that could be considered cultural insensitivity. Thank you for your time who ever desides to read this💗
Henna was not only used by Indians and Arabs, but also by Egyptians, Jews, North Africans.. and Greeks/Romans to dye the hair! It is perfectly okay for you to use henna as long as you are mindful of not doing any symbol that belongs to other cultures, like Allah's name or a holy symbol. If what you want is a beautiful design of flowers with the names of Zeus, Hestia, Aphrodite..., then off you go!!!

Omgoshhhh That is sooo sweet and truly means so so much! My supplier now vacuum seals them but before I would hand seal them which a press vacuum sealer I got on amazon
