Love your comment about doing the same thing each time and not getting better... Albert Einstein said "insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results" He must have been a PGA golf instructor 😂. Thanks Marcus, a dose of reality always helps.
funny...ever since I started teeing the ball up with my foot like you at the range, ...people stop and watch me thinking I must be pretty good... Ha!!!!!!🤣
Thankyou Marcus, since following your videos my golf has greatly improved. I am hitting the ball longer usually with a little draw. I have dropped around ten strokes and golf is so enjoyable now. I feel the golf swing is so easy and free now. My head isn't full of so many swing thoughts which used to inhibit my swing. Thankyou.
Hi Marcus! Tried this the other practice, and let's say the pucker factor the first few swings was off the charts 😅. I hit driver in the same session and saw an increase in ball speed. Your method is the truth!
This is great, I’ll wrap tape around the club head until I get proficient with this drill so I don’t worry about nicking up the club head, thanks again Marcus, another goal!
I like your take on making things harder for yourself to learn. My first set of clubs were “game improvement” irons and I’m so happy that I bought some forged “players” irons. Yes I hit it worse on day 1 but the feedback I was getting from my misses allowed me to improve
Hi Marcus!, thanks again for your help, I just have a question about loft on the driver, do you recommend adjusting higher or lower on the driver?, my driver can be adjusted from 9.5 - 12 degrees of loft. I hope you're doing great 👍🏻
Hi. I can't recommend you to change/keep your driver loft without seeing you hit some golf balls and watching the ball flight. It depends on many different things and I don't want to guess.
What’s that shooting saying …”smaller the target the smaller the miss” It’s the reverse here …using the smaller 3W face off the tee brings in the sweet spot of the bigger face of the D …spot on Practicing to hit driver after using the 3W is a reward move … I like the concept…small to big You’re right …being lazy and the golf swing … not going to work Thank you Markus
Thanks for sharing. At the beginning of the back swing, I noticed that the club face is inside of the target line (not in alignment) and is open. Is it due to the club positioned across the body (right to left for Left-handed)? I was trying to align the center of the club with the target with sq face with the club positioned across my body (left to right - R/Handed) and was slicing.
Hi. We need to separate the two things you're asking about. 1. The slice is in my opinion only bad timing. If you release early enough it will not happen. It can become a hook if we do it badly but it will not slice. 2. How you start will never give you perfect golf shots. Your body positions are completely different from setup to impact and alignment will not help if we can't execute the shot we want to hit. My club is always open at adress but I still hit a draw. We can learn to feel the club face if we do some simple practice. Hi marcus, im playing with 8 degree driver and strike is good definitely hitting up with early release but my ball flight is way too high so losing distance, do you think i need a lower lofted driver? Thank you
It sounds strange. The high spin needs to come from somewhere. I can't recommend anything without getting more information. Normally it's very hard to hit a modern driver too high. I can hit a 10 degree and still get good distance.
@@GolfwithMarcusEdblad any ideas what could be causing high spin? I tee it up high using 4inch tees, I get a nice draw just the ball balloons up, I'm not sure what could be causing this
@@jaychand8504 I went to my studio and used a 9 degree driver and the only way for me to get spinn over 3500 rpm (with a draw) is to hit the to high on the face or totally stop my hands at impact and putting insane amount of loft on the club.
@@GolfwithMarcusEdblad I did record myself swinging and what i notice was my hands are very active on the downswing but slows down towards the ball, almost like all the speed is gone after I've hit the ball, maybe a bit of casting?
Marcus I'm R/handed and using your method I feel like the left hand is just holding onto the club doing nothing and everything comes from pushing the right hand and elbow am I correct with this it's certainly how I feel
Hi. I think we need to teach both hands/arms to do there task. I don't think we can escape that. But your power should be coming from trail arm/hand. 👍
Update...I took this tip to the driving range...Hit a handful of balls off of a high tee with the 3 wood. hit some pop ups, wicked hooks and then some bombs strait down the middle. I then moved to the driver and every swing was good contact. Strait, fades and draws...all would have been playable....Thanks!
Thanks for all of the great videos.
Thank you my friend. 🙏

Good thinking my friend. 👍
as usual Marcus, your instruction makes perfect sense, thank you.
👍
I always tee up the ball with my foot since finding your channel.
Saves your back. 👍
Can't believe you expect me to practice golf to get better at it Marcus, what kind of crazy talk is that 🙂
Not just practice, make practice extra hard. 😁
I’ll be doing this this week 👍
Love to hear it. 👍

How should set these adjustable drivers ? Standard closed or open
I think standard. It’s better if we learn to adjust if we need to. 👍

Why can I hit my 3 wood as far as my driver, it's very frustrating...
I need more information to be helpful but if you hit down with both your 3-wood will probably beat your driver.
Profound!

Stop using common sense Marcus it’s very unpopular these days 😉
I know but I can't stop it. 😱
