And to think this was during AltaBird's worst snow season ever. That is the difference between AltaBird and the rest. Even a horrible year is better than most other's good years.
The two worst ski conditions I've ever experienced were the two times I've been to Alta. First time there was zero visibility and the wind was blowing so hard you could ski uphill. Second time was decent weather but the entire hill was a sheet of ice.
Killer video buddy! My girlfriend & I are moving to Utah in a few weeks & we’ve been scoping out all the different resorts we can go snowboarding at. Looks endless there!
jfo14 thanks. I bought 88s (Rossi hd) and just tried them out at Whistler (loads of fresh powder) and realize I made a mistake. (My intent was to have one do it all ski) Will needd a second pair.
Sullen no it wouldn't. Snowboards would scrap all the snow out of the chutes plus they would get stuck on all the traverses needed to get to the lines which would completely screw everyone behind them.
Super cool, hope to venture out that way soon!

Tax Week always good at the Bird. Seems to be a lucky date to go. I was there like you from April 12 thru 16. Can't beat High Boy parties at Alta.
What camera(s) did you use for this?
GoPro Fusion as well as GoPro 5 Session

That song at the beginning. Love it
Looks like the beat resort in the world
there's plenty of great resorts, but the snow in Little Cottonwood is what sets it apart. Dry, light snow, makes for great powder skiing!
jfo14 hope i can go this season it looks amazing
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
What width skis did you ski on?
Torrent79 98 and 97 underfoots I believe. Not bigger than 100 underfoot but around 120-130 at tip

Thanks Stephen, looking forward to another year full of pow!
Awesome. I've always wanted to ski Alta. Looks like the conditions were amazing for you.
A slice of heaven on earth. Go. Just go.
Would be nice if they other 40% of winter sport enthusiasts who ride on snowboards could try it as well.
