Beautiful! Poppin John's new moves are incredible. You can tell that even though he has a bunch of moves mastered, he doesn't stop at learning new and even more difficult ones! Many stay with what they know because they think it's enough or don't have the creativity to go further, but John always gives us these new moves that leave us in awe. Thank you Poppin John for letting us see this amazing gliding, slow mo, those ankles are so trained, that's the only way that gliding is possible. thanks! Ditto! Awesome! I watch this video at least 10 times a month from when it came out and it makes me tear up every time. People always think of hip hop in a way of always having an upbeat song or hipped up energy choreography but, this video shows exactly what people are missing of the other side of hip hop. Hip hop can be slow and smooth and still be amazing at the same time. That's why popping is personally my favorite style because it's one of the styles in hip hop you can hit every beat of a song to or be soft with it. And as Poppin John and Dytto both as my biggest inspirations in popping, watching them reminds me how badly I want to continue dancing and doing hip hop for the rest of my life. Love you Poppin John!!!!
This takes it to a whole new level conceptual entertaining and done with a practiced skill. This type of presentation isn't for everyone but it has a sophistication a touch of class that sets you apart from your average club kid. Kudos.

I am old school Popper from the 80s and have been watching your vids for the past few years but for some reason never seen this one. WOW so Beautiful almost made me cry. I love to see the choreographed things that you, Ditto, Fikshin and Letwins have been doing. Takes it to the next level. Awesome job. Great collaboration. Dytto has to be the most beautiful dancer in this genre, and Poppin John is my favorite to watch. Him, Marquese scott, and Nam Hyun Joon are the best in the world in my humble opinion. Awesome stuff, keep motivating and inspiring others to express themselves through dance.
The style is slightly different and more like a mix of belly dancing and pop n lock, but you should check out Yana Kremneva, Kira Lebedeva, Olga Meos. They all do whats called tribal fusion. Really awesome!!! If you havent already seen it...enjoy!!!

I used to love watching The Lockers on Soul Train when I was a kid in the early 70's. Then it was Shabadoo that became popular in the movie Breakin. Now here I am a 55 year old man the dance has just gotten better. Taken to a new level! I sure love watching Poppin John. They were both just awesome!

you're so right. popping could by the main ingredient, but its part of a whole scene, a theatrical performance where face and body expressions denote or remark love, maybe confidence, acceptance, desire, tenderness. she's well aware of that, and I believe both are very immerse in the story they want to tell, thru dance.
2024, & still watching this. Would've been cool if they turned this into a little series & brought a new dance to us weekly. Their chemistry is great, a little bit off here & there, but because they're so awesome, my assumption is they didn't have much time to do this.

I want to comment briefly on other’s comments around Dytto falling out of character (first person in the lyric). I'm assuming this is a reference to her more anthropomorphous movements near 0:19 to 0:21, the lyrics, "...don't know what I wanna say..." and again at 2:21 to 2:24 as she turns the final time away from Poppin John (second person in the lyric), the lyrics "...in my bones, in my bones, in my bones..." I am not familiar first-hand with the choreography of course, but I saw those movements as intended and scripted, extolling the high relief between being and not being "Perfect" in my bones. In this performance, as seems always true, Poppin John so perfectly executes every move. He is "en pointe" from his initial rise from the bench and right-left shift near 0:05.5 ending at 0:06.0 to the final descent back onto it, with the clasp of his hands, keeping his right knee slightly elevated staying on the ball of his right foot and shifting his torso only slightly to the left, helping to create the artistic tension and a sense of ambiguity as he looks at Dytto and she back at him.
