Yeh, the fact that they didnt give it at least a minor nerf this upcoming patch is kinda annoying. You're seeing everyone build it, especially the mage adcs running most the lobbies

the surtr stacking minigame is the most fun i have had in solo in a while my highest stack count was 177
Glad to see Freya mitigating more than half the damage you did because of the tank items she DID NOT buy, that's neat ! But seriously, Build those items on sylvanus or ares and squishies are as tanky than warrior . Last season was worse, one monkey built aura items and 4 squishies build full damage and were tankier than warrior cause needed to build SOME damage item, otherwise it would tickle them :/

On a side note, Surtr 1 really should stack faster and unlimitedly, but with reduced returns at certain benchmarks (ex 6 dmg/stack for the first 50, 4/stack for the second, 2/stack for the third, and 1/stack for every stack beyond that)
this is really just case and point why the stack count should be lower. i don't think i've ever gotten more than 100 stacks and some of those games almost ran as long as 50 minutes.
Ive been building the MiLF (Morgan Le Fay) tanky and as far as ive seen, she's an absolute menace and a half. Built in damage gain in your passive as well as percent heals in your cc immune ult helps a lot, on top of the stupid amount of poke and cc you can send down the lane. I would LOVE to see you be a solo lane monster with that :D

The fact that you got to 200 stacks is insane in itself. What SMITE needs for aura defense is Internal Actives on item that give aura for like 15 seconds and is a 45 secodn internal cooldown. Having flat aura defense is broken.
I think flat aura def is fine but the ranges / numbers are too big. You shouldn't really get aura prots as you do for just being in the same fight, it makes more sense to me if they are given only to people that you are closer to and actively peeling for.
@@TheMirksta They already have my ideal in mind if you looked at Sturdy Stew, but yeah a very short range like cabraken's passive would be okay too. Though what I mean would be like active on the item. You buy the item, then you use it like an active, then it goes on cd so you can determine when to use it as an aura, but its liek only 15 seconds, and then it has like 45s or 90s cooldown.
I even feel that the passive the items give should be nerfed, idk about the new cloak cause I haven’t played much this season but things like shoguns is crazy, bunch of stats on the item and 20 or 25% attack speed aura (I can’t remember which one I just know it’s too much) if it was closer to 15% it would be much better, or even implement a stack system so the longer you are closer to someone the more benefits they get, so it’s better in team fights but not so much during ganks and such
The problem isnt the individual items, its when they are built together and the game goes late enough to get to full build/stacks. This game is also a bad example considering fineokays team literally had no mage or magical damage other than support so everyone bought breastplate
@@Ryniano Breastplate is also really good with it's recent buff. Fineo had magical damage, but it wasn't enough lol, but for a carry with no defense save the aura's mitigating over 40% of the damage received is nuts.
I had a surtr solo do this in one of my games. It was a casual match and they were not fineokay so we ended up losing because the enemy solo laner rotated to fights, got kills and ended up carrying the entire game.
I wish you got more stacks for killing enemy gods….would encourage fighting for stacks

I mean the team’s got 4 physicals and jorm’s got 2 Magic power items both geared towards support, and breastplate is OP atm. Of course they’re gonna be lame, it’s the best effective tactic available (aka they are BETAs)
the only complaint I have is that we dont get the boink sound effect on every 1 hit (I'm meming, ik that's too much effort)

the time i got it handed to me the worst by a surter in lane the guy just said fuck stacking the passive and used his 1 on me every time
So if the brestplate procs and the kuzenbo is the only one around the freya with prophetic cloak and sentinels the freya would have 321 phys prot and 193 magic prots including base prots of freya
i dont think that specifically happend this game she might have had 20-30 prots less of each but still thats insane 1 defense item and a support with auras makes anybody nearly unkillable
also i wanna add that kuzenbo i think got spectral for just fineokay's deathbringer even tho he sold it LMAO

Not certain on why there were 5 ticks for his 1. I thought it was only 3 ticks of burn, but the numbers seem that it's 4. Assuming 4 ticks of burn and 1 hit of magical bonus:
Bonus: For his 1 to do 528 from 1035, she had 96 magical prots at that time.
Burn: Remainder of 340 damage reduced to 139, meaning ~144 physical prots.
Not gonna take the time to check if she had been cc'd by Surtr at the time. Could be 16 prots extra for both, in addition to Hydras phys.
Loving Surtr, this was great to witness. Just a shame your team sabotaged you by going quad physical. Physical defense items have been miles ahead of magical all season, and giving a team a reason to build more is just not smart imo. It's why we started the year out with the heartward glyph meta; you could stack physical defense passives and only ever have to build that singular magic defense item.
I've honestly found that just Thebes/Prophetic, Breastplate Glyph, and Oni's is enough to make you stupidly tanky.

I think Surtr 1 should be uncapped. It takes a long time to get those stacks, it's cool down gated and you can only get it down so low. If your games goes 50mins, you've earned that. Even a pro has to play around that fact, it sucks. Tho I will say, I like the balancing in season 10. To put it simply; both tanks and damage dealers have their flaws and perfections.
