Great vids and great coverage of the race! Can i suggest putting the 5 riders days positions and overall position at the end of each video? Cheeers!! Braappp!!
Love this! You guys are doing great along with this video Production and all that goes with it. Lots of hard work and it is showing. Thanks all for doing this for us TH-cam bench racers. Looking forward for the next one.
Fabulous videos and far better than anything the major broadcasters could produce. Looking forward to the rest - my main evenings viewing at the moment!
Mate this is a huge accomplishment on all fronts from all of your organization, riders mechanics, production team and Senior Poskitt putting in the hours and heavy lifting.
Love this stuff and Lyndon. Glad you have a team this year. I can't see over the handle bars. I know something is wrong when I can't sit in my chair without hanging on!
Amazing look at the Africa Eco Race form the inside .. thank you guys for bringing this to us. A small suggestion, if possible small clips of other riders would be much appreciated. All he best to the Races 2 Places Team from India .. Godspeed .. We have the first Indian at the Africa Eco 2020 .. a Privateer No 115 Ashish .. It would mean a lot to us here back home if we could get a glimpse of him.
Brilliant stuff! Lyndon well knows that if nothing goes wrong you’re not making memories. Keep up the good work; you have miles to go before you sleep 😴.
Lyndon, I hope you do a detail gear video at some point. Always helpful to see what the latest gear the vendors suit you guys up in. From head to toe. Looks chilly in Morocco. Maybe we will see snow up in that High Atlas Mountains. Cheers. Kam
Amazing team work and everyone has the biggest grin on their faces, love it. Also big ups to the media team for keeping it 110% R2P style. Good luck for the next stage. Don’t suppose your planning a dvd with unseen footage which hasn’t been on TH-cam? Pretty please:)
Rusty Butter agree on this. Top marks to the media team, you’re doing a great job. I’d second the DVD request. It might cover more costs for later projects too? Also hoping for another LPR National tour after the event!! Mechanics seem to be on it to, well done. Go Guys! Les in UK
The coverage is truly amazing, especially considering the organisation and logistics that go into the racing, filming, editing etc. Good luck guys and looking forward to the next one
Very enjoyable production. Watching it from a ferry in the Atlantic, off the coast of Morocco, returning from the Canaries with my 1150gs. I'm looking straight across at you. Good luck.
Your post I appreciate. It gives a glimpsed behind the scenes of both the rally and as important local people. Stay upright, have fun, and also make to the end. ....HG BLACK ....
This isn't the Dakar race it's the Africa eco race which is following the route of the original Dakar race, the actual Dakar race is happening now also but it's being held in Saudi Arabia this year and hasn't been held in dakar for a long time now it's just kept the name as it's so well known.
Amazing footage, just wish they had mounted a camera on the front of the bike so you had a better idea od the track and conditions. Keep up the great work
Looks like everyone is off to a pretty good start, congrats on getting the first couple of race vids out, can't wait to see what happens in the coming days.
maybe for next year you can add coolride handwarmers into the bikes. they just getting glued into the bar where the grips are and they come with m8 (i think) mounting holes so you can mount for handprotectors onto them
Very Good Guys just work on the Navigation skills a bit more cause that can Cost you the race.. but Excellent work for the day I love your Channel Lyndon.. Keep it Real and Tyers on the Ground ✊🏻😎
Awesome Lyndon came over after your Teapot1 with Bruce where have I been Awesome WOWZERS LOL thanks for sharing this is life changing what do you think of the Africa Twin?
Great guys, thank you for sharing earlier today. I have to admit that the view from the helmet Camera is much better than from the chest position. Any chance to use Helmet cameras? It would be also great to listen to Lyndon when he is thinking loud during the race as in the past. Wish you all the best, no crash and no flu from the cold Moroco :-)
I know it says 2016, but the page has the 2020 catagories: www.africarace.com/en/edition2016/categories.html Their reporting seems to have Bikes, Side By Side-UTV, and Cars/Trucks Cars and Trucks and SxS seem to be running as one category and Bikes/quads as a second. I've not seen any quads in the reporting. When you look at the standings it is just two lists. Yesterday a big truck was leader overall for cars/trucks. Today a buggy took over.
Africa eco ends in Dakar Senegal. Where as the dakar rally is in Saudi Arabia. These men are on the road to Dakar Senegal not the dakar rally. It took me a while to understand it as well
I'm loving the videos but why does it look like there's no one else racing there. You're series on the Dakar race it look like hundreds of people at the bivac.
I’m watch all these guys freezing on their bikes and am wondering why they don’t wear a electrically heated base layer. I have used one on my 690 and it works awesome.
Hey Lyndon just wanted to know I'm trying to see were you guys are in the racing Standings during each day but on "The Official Dakar ranking " i do not Pic up any of your team's in Any Bike Category in the Dakar how is this possible?
Steve They are racing to Dakar, they are not on the so-called “Dakar Rally” which has nothing to do with Africa these days. That’s in Saudi Arabia this year (sold its soul to the highest bidder, so now it has no soul). This is the true modern version of the old Dakar Rally, and its ‘the dream’ for many. I’m living the dream through these videos. Les in UK
God knows how you manage to get where your going with them odd looking course notes and no road signs in the stages, I get lost every time i go away and that’s with an up to date all singing And dancing SAT NAV,
Great vids and great coverage of the race! Can i suggest putting the 5 riders days positions and overall position at the end of each video? Cheeers!! Braappp!!
joaopnmarques excellent idea!
You can see the live positions and the stage/overall results on www.africarace.com/en
Poskitt is doing a really good job out there!
Adventure Bike Rider has recommended your page as the "go to" for the Africa Eco event update source, should boost subscribers. Well done.
Their email newsletter brought me here. I was unaware of the Africa Eco Race.
I like the "warming the hands" with oil change shot! Such good stuff!!!
EXCELLENT! Great video. Fantastic race. Best of luck to your ENTIRE TEAM. Cheers
Who on earth would dislike this upload? You absolute muppet.
Best of luck lads.
I was thinking exactly the same thing and can only attribute someone disliking video to the fact that they just dislike everything.
Love this! You guys are doing great along with this video Production and all that goes with it. Lots of hard work and it is showing.
Thanks all for doing this for us TH-cam bench racers.
Looking forward for the next one.
Great video again! I love seeing the riders and crew, hearing what everyone is doing to keep the team running! Thanks so much for sharing with us.
Great series really enjoying it, but those white Alpinestars boots will be a bugger to keep nice and clean lols.👍👍👍🇬🇧
Fabulous videos and far better than anything the major broadcasters could produce. Looking forward to the rest - my main evenings viewing at the moment!
great video work guys and great riding too. Good luck for tomorrow.
Big thumbs up, good results for the racing team and good job of the mechanics team. Wish you all the best!
Mate this is a huge accomplishment on all fronts from all of your organization, riders mechanics, production team and Senior Poskitt putting in the hours and heavy lifting.

So good. Great video. More back story than the Eco race web site. Great to see the team starting well. Best wishes
Love this stuff and Lyndon. Glad you have a team this year. I can't see over the handle bars.

Great coverage and such a great behind-the-scenes look at what it actually takes!
Excellent coverage once again guys. Good luck to the team for the rest of the event.
Brilliant stuff! Lyndon well knows that if nothing goes wrong you’re not making memories. Keep up the good work; you have miles to go before you sleep 😴.

The true spirit of the Dakar. Thank you all.
Lyndon, I hope you do a detail gear video at some point. Always helpful to see what the latest gear the vendors suit you guys up in. From head to toe. Looks chilly in Morocco. Maybe we will see snow up in that High Atlas Mountains. Cheers. Kam

Really great coverage of the preparation, organisation and riding in an event, that you don’t normally see. Fascinating to watch. Well done!
These episodes are getting better and better, keep up the good work guys
Love this stuff ... and appreciate what it must take to do it and provide the coverage. It's the best!
Always good videos keep them coming.
The videos you guys make are just amazing!! Really enjoy following along on the big adventure and race - keep it up 👍👌
The coverage is truly amazing, especially considering the organisation and logistics that go into the racing, filming, editing etc.

This is the first time I have seen the Dakar race it's a lot different to what I thought it was great videos

No audio when the guys are riding? I'd like to hear them curse :-)
Impressed with the mechanics. So much to do ... so little sleep.
love hearing the bikes w NO MUSIC
It's great to hear the mechanic's perspective too.
Please, put a camera in front of the bikes, so that we can see the track better and imagine what you see !!!👍 Great vids as always !
Amazing footage, just wish they had mounted a camera on the front of the bike so you had a better idea od the track and conditions.
Keep up the great work
Excellent going guys fantastic edit now show us the edited cuts when this is in the books 👍👍
Great vids so far - makes for great involvement to follow so closely - I’m sure it’s going to get hotter later on in the race 👍
Looks like everyone is off to a pretty good start, congrats on getting the first couple of race vids out, can't wait to see what happens in the coming days.
Another thumbs up for a great vid
Brilliant and worth the wait!

Well done keep it going..
Excellent job to the whole team .
Is there a noticeble difference in the quality of the roadbooks between the AER and the Dakar?
Using a road book may never become a lost art. I think I'd need a Navigator.
The bikes sound like they have loads of low end torque.👌
Based of enduro bikes, they need low end torque for passing over obstacles 😉
Awesome stuff!
Thanks TOP.
how many classes are in the rally ?? same class that Andrew Short Runs??
I know it says 2016, but the page has the 2020 catagories:

Seems like africa is colder than sweden this “winter”, strange times.. ;)
I'm confused. Aren't these two races happening at exactly the same time, Dakar and Africa Eco?
Africa eco ends in Dakar Senegal. Where as the dakar rally is in Saudi Arabia. These men are on the road to Dakar Senegal not the dakar rally. It took me a while to understand it as well
