I was looking at US games as that is the country i live in. I would love to do some Japanese price videos too but i would need to find a good source of 20 year old japanese prices.
I am not a SNES collector myself, so I am not an expert on the “whys” behind these prices. My understanding is that Hagane is a game that is so rare that some people argue it was only available via rental. So in that case I would suggest that it is supply and demand.
Not being an expert didn't stop you from throwing out a hypothesis or two as to "why" in other vids... it's almost like you're intentionally withholding love from Nintendo games...
I had a similar thing happen on my Neo Geo list. because i am looking at value change over time rather than just “most expensive” there are a few items that have just always been expensive and so their percentage change over 20 years is low. At some point i am going to do a “rare and expensive” list that will focus on titles that have always been sought out.
@@teknohed PriceCharting shows loose X3 carts sold for $64 in Dec 2006, and it's now at $270 (actually if you look on ebay they're around $300 and I suspect the 270 is for lower quality carts but we'll go with 270 for the math). That's an increase of ~420%, which should put it somewhere around #18 on your list. I'd *assume* the price in 2004 would be slightly lower so perhaps even more percentage increase. Anyway, just chatting, doesn't really matter =P. Good video! I enjoy these lists.
@@Mike-B-Jackson you know what? you make a great point, so i went back to my spread sheet for this video and I think in this case the lack of Mega Man X3 is just an error on my part. the SNES data in my sheet seems to be incomplete, missing about 50 games including mega man x3. Looks like I am going to have to make an update to this video. thanks for catching that!
But WHY did Hagane jump up in price like that? Analysis, please.
what about superfamicom games? , Thraccia 776 fire emblem is 500DLS for a complete copy.

Home of the dankest and weirdest RPGs. Robotrek was an all time fave.
I’ve seen Chrono trigger a few different times in game stores and it always had a price tag of 250-300
Chrono trigger prices are getting up there for sure.
I'm shocked Pocky and Rocky 2 didn't make the cut! Wonder what its worth?😂
Odd that Mega Man X3 isn’t on this list
