I hadn't played in years. Was tube surfing and came across this video, WOW, what a Godsend. Talk about inspiration, just had to restring and tune one JUST to try and get back into it. Went to the backing piece and have been laying down some solos for the last 45 mins til my unused fingers were crying. Did I stop? HELL NO !!! Had to try twice more. Now that the tips of my fingers are nice and purple, just using the keyboard to say THANK YOU. You definitely have a new sub.

Outstanding lesson that will surely enrich our vocabulary. The video from 10 minutes on-word must be repeated over and over to condense to our subconcious mind. Thank you very much Eddie. Cheers from Indonesia.

By combining the video with the tab animation, this became a double lesson: the blues plus how to read tabs. Thanks, Eddie! Keep it up!

As a guitarist from way back in the Hendrix days...l use to jam to the original Voodoo Chile and Red House where l learned those four blues tips you discussed and many more just from listening to him and how phenomenal a blues rock maestro he was...also l always wondered how similar Zeps ..You Shook Me and Red House sounded...was Red House a Willie Dixon tune that Page also sort of rewired as well ...and l have almost always been able to "keep the beat" in my mind like an internal metronome ...and play to it as you suggested ...very inciteful lesson by the way for any blues devotee ...still learn some tidbits here and there when l check out your previous submissions !

Thank you much for these awesome tips and great channel! I probably sound really dumb for asking this, I'm certainly a n00b. You mention that these licks are in the minor pentatonic scale in the key of A. I was expecting you to play the pentatonic scale at F# (the relative minor, 6th, of the key of A). But, you played the A minor pentatonic that I would think is the key of Bb. Can anyone help clear up my confusion? If I was jamming with someone and they said, lets jam in the key of A, I would be doing this bluesy magic at F#.
