I do hope they give her a chance to establish herself at the brand. CK still has name recognition and the Fashion community will be excited to see what she comes up with. I really hope she can come with a distinct vision and have some covetable bags/shoes. The Raf era was interesting but l really liked the Francisco Costa era. He made beautiful and chic clothes but l felt he was overlooked unfortunately.
I feel she was definitely the perfect choice, as well if not her , Louise Trotter of Jil Sander herself!! This brand was the foundation of minimalist minimalism for every brand that’s doing it! Calvin was the king of minimalism and no one did it better than him as well as Jil Sander❤ Hoping PVH gives her total control of design and I am excited for the brand to finally come back and bring some excitement to NYFW!! Calvin show was always the biggest draw for fashion week❤
This is going to be a very big year for Calvin Klein. They are going to have Leoni's work on NYFW in February & Eva Serrano (the new Global Brand President) new vision for the brand come to life. I wish nothing but the best for these two ladies and this iconic brand ! And of course, I will be looking forward to your video with a focus on the bag :-)
I have to say, I find it interesting that PVH has decided to re-enter the collection business with Calvin Klein. I think about if it is well received and if past accounts pick it back up will CK be able to negotiate for prime floor space or shops within department stores, etc. Will there be a roll out of handbags, shoes and accessories or will it just be RTW? I am looking forward to seeing how this all unfolds.
When ck claims fame is underwear, that's all ppl will think that's all there is to it. I can't remember when was the last time I've seen a fashion spread from ck that's not underwear. They need to cut back on the underwear and licensing and step up their apparel. There are other and newer brands who do underwear better than ck .
Folks need to do their fashion research, CK is not Calvin Klein Collection. Raf was wrong for the brand as he totally ignored the clean, minimalist, sleek ethos that had been the infrastructure of the brand. Francisco Costa is Calvin Klein Collection still. He included just the right amount of frills/play, color/texture to the flagship label. Play has to come through via tailoring and construction, lush fabrics and rich textures, and styling. I think Veronica is more in alignment with the brand and can continue the work of Costa in her own way. Calvin Klein Collection has to succeed as it has been the NYC show for decades. Do I agree that CK should be scaled back? Yes, this is the same challenge that Michael Kors is facing with MK. You cannot have it both ways, to be exclusive you have to be elusive-period!
Calvin Klein is just too trashy nowadays. When I say nowadays, it’s more like the last 20 years. They have been on Ross Dress for Less clearance section all over and no one will bother to take a second look. Raf did a great job when he was the creative director at CK, but you just can’t make a brand high fashion again when it’s known now as a cheap brand that belongs at Walmart and it’s competitors.
I will support the new CD if she brings Christy Turlington back to advertise Eternity perfume☕️😂 Still can’t believe they currently have one the Kartrashian girls doing the commercials Disgraceful
