Why I Say My Pronouns

Explanations:
1. Normalization: if people hear pronouns enough, it will become part of the norm. Using them as frequently as possible so people around you are used to them allows for everyone to be more understanding when a trans or non-binary person corrects or specifies their pronouns (this also helps to be gender affirming for trans people, lowering suicide rates). Note: repeated exposure can also help with the inverse and cause transphobes to get over their hatred.
2. Targeting: If trans and non-binary people are the only ones who specify their pronouns, then it puts a big target on their back from people who wish to harm/unalive them; so cis people saying our pronouns helps to prevent that.
