This project has enticed me to do some weaving. Lately I have been crocheting again, but the hands need a break. This is just the perfect project to get back to weaving. I love your videos and how you teach.
Such a cute little project. As soon as you mentioned not wanting to break the thread every time you changed colors, I got all excited and thought: Oh, maybe it's possible to carry the threads along the edges like you do in Tunisian crochet stripes (and maybe knitting). And sure enough, that's exactly what you figured out! I love when techniques carry across different crafts like that. My personal theory is that almost every method of working with fiber is a variation of Sticks + Strings. All you need is one or more sticks and some string; anything beyond that is just technology to go Faster. That's what I've decided to believe anyway. 😎 Thanks for your great tutorials. I've been finally starting to venture into weaving with small frame looms, and your projects and teaching are perfect. ❤

Thank you so much! This definitely a fun one to try 😊
This is also called a Crystal weave in Navajo weaving, when two wefts are woven in at the same time. Very easy, very nice effect.
Interesting, thanks for letting me know!

You said there would be a link to the starting stitch? I'm not seeing it.
It’s linked in the description but here it is: th-cam.com/video/4MV0RQEolB0/w-d-xo.html
@spruceandlinen thanks :) I looked twice, but didn't see it.
Looked again and see why I missed it :) I was looking for the blue link text. Thanks again. @@spruceandlinen
