Its not an exclusive club of secret racers who are allowed to purchase hellcats. The only requirement is having cash or credit... The guy hasn't even put it on a dyno so just Relax. it'll be ok. He probably didn't even know he was being brought in to race a built monster on drag tires, with a custom rear end. I honestly feel worse about hoonigan putting a stock hellcat on street tires against whats clearly a drag racer with more time and effort invested, than I do the guy showing up on street tires.

Had a RWD only one ecu flashed (huge improvement) w CAI got it for $26k brand new back in '06. The platform is GARBAGE for electronics, replaced all the rear lights 3x over 6 years, front fogs burn out every 6k miles or earlier, fan relay/headlight relay goes out no headlights for 30 seconds at night sucks, Ignition Switches leave you stranded they were NOT included in the GM Lawsuit/settlement, the doors are glued on(dont let a windy day catch your door! It will sag for life) fuel gauge sending unit went out 80k mikes left us stranded(weird gm warranty covered) , LS2 water pump Fail so....yha....at 67k miles(swapped myself no warranty) , Front yellow Bilsteins BLEW oil out at 30k miles dealer swapped under warranty. oil pump pickups are in the FRONT and these trucks all came 4:11 so the launches starved the oil galleys and these LS2s notorious for bearing fails and then to add all LS's burn oil past 50k they will run dry on you gotta pop hood add oil every couple weeks....Rear hatch latch busted off 60k miles normal use, rear airbags failed 80k miles swapped over to belltech 2" drop springs for SSR. Trucks are TRA$HBAG money pite, but they are neat when done up. H👀drats love em for those China 20" trophy wheels. Dont miss mine at all bc known electronics gremlins lol...this is fun to watch tho.

They are not THAT fast in stock form... especially when compared to a Mustang or Camaro... they are just too damn heavy... BUT... the hellcat engine in almost anything lighter is a straight up scary ride...

Bought an 06 TrailBlazer SS for the wife when we had our first kid and it was an amazing daily driver. Just a few simple upgrades like a CAI, ECU tune and a mellow Magnaflow exhaust (wife's daily so nothing obnoxious) and it was a screamer. Drop springs in the front and air bags adjusted in the rear made for such a killer stance. Unfortunately had to upgrade in size when the next kid came along and needed the cash for the new whip. Wife's choice this time and a '13 Durango R/T was next. I still remember the pimple faced salesman after I took that turd for a test drive bragging about how great the hemi was. If you only knew what I gave up for more space and creature comforts kid, if you only knew. Miss that car and it's sleeper attack. Always hooked. Always worked. Always put a smile on my face. I'd take it to work instead of my CTS-V at the time and that's saying allot.

I’ve seen so many cars where they’ll claim 900+hp based on what the boxes the parts come in say. When in reality it’s basically stock power with a little extra noise added. He wasn’t even catching up from half track. Compared to something that’s actually working and putting out at least what is claimed.

I remember when the cowl hood came out for the TBSS, I really wanted one for my 08. Mine was RWD though.. Stock 4.10 gears, trick flow 225 heads, comp cam, built 4L70 with 3600 stall and normal bolt-ons and she ran 11.70 with a 1.36, 60'... Mine was in April 09 super Chevy magazine and held the record for fastest all motor for a year or two.. They have a ton of potential, just very top heavy.. Dig animals!!
Lol some guys just can’t drive even if it’s an automatic. Here’s a tip from down south. Put the trans in manual mode if your going to do roll racing, find your gear for the roll, as soon as you take off slap the shifter from Manuel shifting into regular drive instead of trying to use the paddles and shift it yourself and just let the car takeover and you just smash the gas (if you can handle that because some can’t smh)

Put the trans in manual mode if your going to do roll racing, find your gear for the roll, as soon as you take off slap the shifter from Manuel shifting into regular drive instead of trying to use the paddles and shift it yourself and just let the car takeover and you just smash the gas (if you can handle that because some can’t smh)
