Monitors were mainly a method of making use of left over guns and turrets in as cheap of a platform as possible. Their main mission was coastal bombardment. Due to their abysmal speed and relatively large size, they had surprisingly good torpedo protection to counteract attacks from enemy destroyers, torpedo boats or coastal launchers, since they spent a lot of time near the shoreline. One monitor which we currently do not have in game, HMS Lord Clive, received a single 18" (practically the same size as Yamato's guns!) gun from Furious in a fixed casemate, as Furious was converted to an aircraft carrier. Though that was only shortly before WW1 ended, she was still the ship armed with the biggest cannon until Yamato entered service ~20 years later during WW2. Erebus and Terror received the same guns as a lot of other British ships of the period (the 5 strong Queen Elizabeth class, of which we have Queen Elizabeth and Warspite in game, the 5 strong R/Revenge class of which we have none in game, the 1 strong Admiral class, of which we have all (Hood) in game, the 2 strong Renown class of which we have all (Renown and Repulse) in game and the 2 strong Courageous class, of which we have 1 in game in her later carrier conversion form (Glorious). They were also used in HMS Vanguard which was the last battleship commissioned in the world in 1946.) These were very effective guns and remained so for quite a while.
It's standard LCF ( low cost farming) . It is good video. From my experience, when you can use a little more oil , but of course who would like to. I'm suggesting Fuso/Yamashiro on 0 limit break as main fleet. they're stronger , more hp, fp and CL gun as secondary. I'm only suggesting for those who want use them. I'd never be ashamed on them. They helped me a lot. They're underrated.

Andre why not try a PR Research guide next? Places to farm , fleet compositions and aux gears for higher maps and so on. Would be great for beginners new to the PR farm.
Thank you for this guide, it will be wery helpfull when I will start farming for foxes. Can you please make same farming oil-efficient fleet guides for other ships who drop only from stages?
with the fletcher fleet, its worth lb them once to get their all out assault. Then use the blue aa guns on all three. They will fire so fast, it's near perma all out assault.
i think that even in late game if you want to come back and farm up some toolboxes and the foxes, just use 1 zombie and a backline ship that you want to level, since I think its kind of a waste to gain no xp at all in a position where you gain so much bonus xp, just use 3-4 to get backliners to 70
We need a video on how to get more parts. . . I have a decent amount of purple parts but blue parts are the part of the ladder holding me down from maxing my gear. Ander hope you make one soon
Hey man! Loving Azuma's thighs. Nice vid as usual. It's nice that you mentioned that farming fleets are more late game oriented. I made the mistake of investing in them very early on. My mob fleet until chapter 8 were Fletcher, Thatcher and Charles. They did great to be honest, but as I learned to play the game just a little more, I realized they wouldn't hold up in later stages. They're now the frontliners for my lvl 100 commisions though, which is nice. Got the Beaver badge because of them too. Hehe. Edit: Btw, can you make a video on ships worth investing in early on that are easy map drops such as London, Portland, Phoenix, Yorktown, etc? That video will surely be very beginner oriented as opposed to the zombies and the Fletchers.
It would be interesting if you could temporarily disable the effects of limit break, that way you can reduce the amount of oil a ship uses without needing to use a separate copy of them.
I'm confused. So this Fleet attacks both mobs and the Boss. Every time I have 2 fleets, one of them attacks the enemy and the other fleet attacks the Boss. Right now, I have Erebus and the Fletcher fleets. If I remove all Fleets except this one, it says I will consume 38 oils. Is that how it is? need confirmation.
Tldr: is there a reason to rush through the chapters instead of taking your sweet time to collect and level several girls? So.. I've been playing for 3 weeks and I've been taking my time farming 3-4, leveling girls I like and when I told someone that I'm farming 3-4, they said not to bother, it's not worth it, just continue... Unless you like akagi and Kaga. Well, I love me some kitsune so I persevered and while I already had akagi for a week I got kaga now too. But this got me thinking: does anyone know why someone would recommend against farming 3-4? I mean isn't the point of the game to collect? Is there some benefit to rushing through chapters instead of taking my time collecting and leveling all girls (I like)? Seems to me that the chapters themselves are hardly the main focus, right? Isn't end game content just collecting and leveling more? So why would I get the advice to rush through? Stronger weapon drops maybe. I noticed chapter 6 drops T4 weapon boxes I've been buying from munitions. Anything else? Seems to me like taking my time to collect and level is the way to go. Why rush if I've got 70 girls stuck in lvl 20-30, most of which I actually want to level. And plenty of elites and rare left to gather from chapters 1 - 6. Am I missing something?
Later chapters have nodes for farming other things like exp, gold and gold rarity equipments. Look at this video by Ander th-cam.com/video/_I7DW6G-jLU/w-d-xo.html The way I see it is that by rushing through and unlocking all the nodes you open yourself up to more options to farm for, and get access to a bigger pool of gears and girls to play around with.
You're gimping yourself, getting less xp, no purple parts and less commander xp. Early on that matters a LOT since it depends your passive gold/coin level, passive xp gain in the dorm, commissions and dailies which give mad rewards. Nothing stopping you to do if you like, but you're halting your progression. 3-4 goes nowhere to throw your new pulls in to level...
I believe the zombie fleet is more beginners friendly, the Fletcher fleet only work if you have how to equip the fleet and core ship, because if not your Fletcher fleet will falls off a cliff at w7+, I really don't see a reason to waste res on a Fletcher fleet just for the sake of oil, to equip properly a Fletcher fleet you also need good stuff that take time and resources to get and craft, you also need a good core ship like Erebus (I like more her over Terror because has more luck) then we are talking a long way to go road to build a good Fletcher fleet while if you go at the beginning for a zombie fleet after reach 3-4 then you are almost done because Phenix will grow as part of your actual fleet if you didn't get ready cassin and downes but both are easy to level up and isn't like they are as equip demanding as the Fletcher girls, if we put Yorktown in the back of the zombie fleet the oil cost in cooperation with the Fletcher fleet is not relevant, I don't see a real advantage to invest time and ress in a Fletcher when I can build easier a zombie fleet that can do even better than the fletcher
another consideration is that Cruisers are more useful in the late game because as you progress in campaign you will face more air threat, you need more AA and cruisers can help to decrease the threat of airstrikes
Rodney/Nelson( 0LB + twin 152) > Erebus? , I use Mutsu 0LB until 7.2(2vanguard + mutsu), i can´t use Erebus full in chapter 6 :´( Rodney and Nelson stay in Hard Construction and give experience for Monarch :3

I almost never get to the point where I need to worry about my oil. By the time I would have used to much oil I already have enough of the game for that day. For me it's more about balancing my oil. I don't want to have too little but I don't want to get to the point where game bothers me before commisions because I have too much oil.
Fletcher fleets are a bad meme on non-CN servers so there's no reason to invest into them. In JP and EN lv70 ships can't handle tougher maps and it's better to use single high level ship than three lower levels. Not to mention if you keep using lv70 ships you're wasting insane amounts of exp which could have gone to other ships. Oil saving by using Fletcher fleet is imaginary. You save oil at the moment of farming but you're sacrificing both oil and time which could have went into training actually useful ships. Fletcher fleets WILL hurt you in the long run.
Guess what, this fleet only works for CN server. Why? Because CN AL ships can reach lvl 100 at 0lb and EN AL limited to lvl 70, which means, 0lb lvl 70 vanguard with Terror/Erebus backline can only survive up till world 6 or 7 if 3 vg. the example of sortie in ur video only has lvl 32 enemies and world 6 enemies r at lvl 60ish.
