I have yarn to knit the Float shawl too! I did a swatch to practice the technique, and it’s really fun to make the little flowers. I also can’t wait to meet you in person in April! It’s going to be so fun!

Hey Rachel You look so healthy and excited again about the things you enjoy. That's really great that you didn't set high goals for yourself in 2024. With time differences it's hard to see your channel on Twitch. You do so many good things with your crafting. I am excited to follow your channel in 2024. I have been following you for a couple of years now. The more I follow the more I want to cross stitch again. Glad you're taking time for yourself. I used to think I was a process stitcher bc I don’t care much about having a finished product but I’m not necessarily in it for just the process of stitching. Like I need to get that completion, it’s just once it’s complete I don’t care anymore. I think actually I’m a progress stitcher. I stitch color completion and there’s just something about ticking off boxes and making progress and finishing the projects that I’m so into. Then I pack the products away or give them away to never think about again.
I think I'm the same as that. My finishes live in my closet and I'm doing really well if I actually 'fully' finish them. It's nice to have but it isn't always my goal.

Will be finished in the end of the year. It will be the first time I’ll try to run more than a project at a time, let’s see how it works (might not liking and continue a monogamous stitcher 😅). One more year I’ll postpone Ink Circles projects I have my eye on. So…. Let’s hope is a happy new year on what stitching is concerned 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭
I’ve finished 2 ink circles, they’re not as bad as one might think to do…but I do meander wherever my floss takes me. So the repetition doesn’t really bother me. What does bother me is I can’t use my silk in the winter…my hands are too dry and snag the silk. So he’s in time out for another 2 months or so. (Gives me time to work on a gift piece.) I can’t do no new starts. Gift stitching arises much too often. (I need to kit up a chameleon or two for someone getting into reptiles…they like snakes but good quality friendly snake charts aren’t the easiest to find.) I’m hoping for only a few new starts and more finishes than starts; I went a bit crazy last year with 22 finishes and 30 starts (ish…I didn’t write everything down). Most of those finishes are ornament size pieces, not big things, but I felt stagnant and started all the things. I’m now at 10 smalls, 9 medium, 2 large and 1 giant. I need to get my medium category back under control lol. Looking forward to galaxy unicorn coming back out to play.
@RachelRaeFiberArts I'm working on a med gift piece and once it's done, a large will move (back) onto the scroll frame. But I really need to play catch up on my full coverage. I want to finish it before it turns 10 in 2028. In 5.5(ish) years I've gotten 31(ish) pages done which isn't quite fast enough (because breaks need to be worked in). 25ish pages left, so 5ish pages per year are needed bare minimum. So I'm hoping to just finish more than I start.
