Thank you for doing this video. I'm a new owner to an AX8 and I've been struggling to understand how to set up scenes. Your video has been very helpful. I'm now subscribed! Thanks again.

My AX8 arrived just few days ago.I''m beginning and trying to understand how this machine works. Those configurations and your guidance were very helpful, especially for my needs! Thank you!!

Thanks a lot for this awesome info man.
This goona be tons of useful for playing live and switch from brutal hi-gain to clean sounds.

    Hi,
Thanks for this video, until now, I didn’t know you could have multiple parameters on the same scene controller. That being said, I don’t understand why you didn’t just attach the cab level on scene controller 1 along with the rest of your parameters?

I use the cab level control to for the level into the song arrangement, so it should be independent of the gain level.

Great video! Will this Setup work for 4 scenes instead of 3, if you want different levels for all the settings you adjusted?

I don't understand the min max mid things! normally I use those with my external pedal

Hi do you know if this works on FX8 as well? I’m looking at just using FX8. But love how I can control any Fx value when switching snapshots on helix (scenes in fractal land). Cheers.

Whoa dude! this video is incredible!! What a smart and efficient solution to work around the AX8 limitation of having only *one* amp per preset!
I've been really frustrated with the lag that occurs whenever switching from one preset to the other, and/or when X/Y switching between two amp settings in the same profile in live situations when I need to switch from clean to dirty tones.
I have a question to you. Say I need a really HEAVILY distorted tone for my leads and rhythm tones (usually I grab the EVH/Powerball/Savage for these purposes) - at their cleanest these amps sound rather flat and uninspiring.. what would you suggest to do for these cases? How would you make the scene designated for the clean tone to sound fuller and just all around better?
    Hope you have the time..
In any case - thanks A LOT for this video!
You should make it public, I think... Im sure many many others will benefit from this!
    Cheers

Eran Segal I haven't tried with the really hi gain amps, but sometimes I use a filter block set to -20 or -40 dB in front of the amp, then I can avoid setting the amp almost completely lifeless. If it is still to lifeless, I would add some EQ in the filter block, a bit of compression and some chorus.

alright! awesome! I'll try this out for sure!

is there ANY way to have the switches on footboard change things when PRESSED instead of when you release ??????

    • @Smittefar1
      @Smittefar1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes, then you need to disable the hold functionality

I'm new to this and it all made sense except for what the percentages on the 3 individual scenes mean. Help? Thanks!

Those are values you can set. You can use it in different ways. I just set mine three at 0%, 50% and 100% because that corresponds to values I can control in the modifier window. 0% correspond to the MIN setting, 100% is the MAX setting, and I can change the 50% value between the MIN and MAX values.

I'm just wondering what the values mean exactly and how they correspond withe the modifier window. How are those values linked with what you did with the delay block etc?
