After today and Lizzie's ask to stay connected to Hope through their bond, this is starting to feel like an epic enemies to lovers arc. Hope, the reckless, emotionless, all-powerful but secretly vulnerable villain and Lizzie, who knows her so well and currently hates her, but who stays annoyed and sassy and true to herself while Hope can't. Reluctant to come, but forced to, on a journey determined to reach their goal to go separate ways afterwards... And now connected, somehow, beyond that. It's like a clean slate where no-humanity Hope doesn't have her old ties anymore, but builds an entirely new one in her current state, slow and steady getting used to Lizzie's presence, while both have to adjust to their new abilities and lives and places in the world without their most important person. What if Lizzie got into danger at one point and Hope, realising how attached she grew, got her humanity back on? What if that then gave her all her emotions, her guilt for all that she's done, her admiration for and rejection from Lizzie, her love and sacrifice instincts mixed with a new guilt because she was selfish for too long for once? What if Lizzie, who has now seen past Hope's walls anyway, came back to comfort her? All I'm saying is: Past, present, and immortal future: Power couple extraordinaire.
We should’ve gotten just ONE more season I would’ve loved to have seen Josie’s reaction to Lizzie turning into a heretic, and just more of Hope and Lizzie’s dynamic. It would’ve been great. So sad it got cancelled. 😢
