near trois-rivières there is a little village called St-Denis, its a place you must see at least once in your life. Its at a specific spot along the St-Laurent river where its so large you have a hard time seeing the other side on cloudy days and the special thing here the river's tide, it gets so low you get to see a full kilometer of sea bed on low tide sea weeds everywhere pudles of water filled with trapped shrimps. Its the only place in the world that a child can casually catch shrimps with his bare hands. There are also some lines of poles with nets and the fisherman comes collect the fish trapped in the net with his tractor on every low tide. Thats right i said tractor not boat. And the tide gets low 4 times per day and high 4 times per day too. When going up, you can literally see the water moving up as fast as an ant that runs.

I live on the other side of Pont Laviolette, in Bécancour, so it’s nice to see you visiting our neighbours which are not far from here at all!

9:52 Translation from what I heard: " On est ici au Grand Prix mais on ne sait rien sur les voitures, on est là pour Gambler mais on sait pas les numéros pour Gambler. Tu me suggéres quoi?"
Translation: "We are here at the Grand Prix but we know nothing about the cars. We are here to gamble but we don't know the numbers to bet on. Do you have any suggestions for us"

Thanks for the insight! Trois Rivieres is on my list next year. Watching it for research was very interesting, since I'll solo-travel myself!

    At 9:50 the guy says:
In principal, we know nothing on the cars, we are here to gamble but we do not know what number to gamble for
By there accent they are clearly tourists like you, they don't have the french Canadian accent. I'd bet they are from France.

it's not the meeting of three rivers. There's a delta at the junction of St-Maurice river and St-Lawrence river, where there are two islands. When the french explorers came first, they were on their boat, on the St-Lawrence river, they thought there were three rivers, but it's three branches of the St-Maurice river diveded by two islands. and it's the 2nd oldest city, founded after Québec city, but before Montréal. otherwise, great video!

Canada is written in the title, not province of Quebec, so the oldest city in Canada is St. John’s Newfoundland, established in 1497, Québec is second 1608, Trois-Rivières is third 1634. Otherwise, great comment! 😁

In 1634 the Land was then called New-France or Canada (yes, Canada was originally a French Province), not Quebec. The first Province of Quebec originated only in 1763, after British King George III Procamation, right after the British Conquest.

High-Canada was French and Down-Canada was English. Canada is New-France and Thirteen Colonies combined :)
