Played this game for 15 years now, started at 11 years old. This soundtrack of Bree-land is incredibly nostalgic for me. Almost feels like I grew up here. Thank you for making this video :)

man I've been away from this lovely game since 2012 and I only JUST found out that it's still going strong and even getting another expansion soon!!! Can't wait to jump back in : )

@@randalthor6872 Yeah, an extension that brings you up to lvl 200+.. this makes no sense to me. I think their approach of the MMOs is getting outdated : adding new content shouldn't just be about increasing mobs HP and char level limit, it should be more subtile... 🤦‍♂
But it's still has one of the most unique and immersive ambiance, and the soundtrack contributes a lot !

Started the game 14 years ago during my joblessness year. It felt so relaxing : the game had such a unique atmosphere (soundtrack, sound design, painting-like landscapes / clouds, etc.)...
When you get to Bree land for the first time, you immediately feel this impression of freedom by seeing all those green meadows and hearing the birds and the wind singing at your ears. Everything feel so alive😌

I'm in a similar boat. Started playing this game in 2009 when I was 14 and every time I hear this music it brings me right back. Thinking about do a fresh run through the whole game if anyone's interested.

There is NO PLACE in this game so chill and calm. Even Rivendel and Lothlorien hit you differently, its solemn, magical and all, but Bree land is unique, this guitar mood indicates a land friendly and ignorant of evil and danger.
The Shire has a similar vibe, but its more sleepy and paradisiacal, more inocent and untouched: kinda unreal. There is no place on our world like the Shire, but Bree is very close to our peacefull days.
Ered Luin is melancholic, great, Eldritch (it feels like a very old world that is been buried benath the mountains, dying and passing away: the world of dwarves and elves from the first age. Its literaly Farytalish, in the sense Tolkien Acknowledges: the country of fairies and elves).
Conclusiom: There is no place like Bree as THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME. 😊

For 15 years, I've never lost the desire to play. I always create new characters just to experience the introduction and roam around the fields of Bree-Land doing initial quests. I love wandering through Evendim, North Downs, Lone Lands, it's so good.

I've been playing LOTRO since the public beta in 2007 -- still play it, got active lately and just reached level cap 140. Even in long stretches when I'm not actively questing, I check in once or twice a week for some Middle Earth tourism and nostalgia. Music from the soundtrack hits me at the most random times, I think I'll be hearing this in my head till the end of my days.

For me this is Elwynn level, which is crazy to consider that I've only started to play LOTRO in late December 2018.
I remember that I was at my parents, Xmas time and my friends finally persuade me to play the game. Strolling together in Breelands with my friends as a minstrel was so much fun.
Crazy how they managed to hit the cozyness of Elwynn.

Standing Stone should make a career option to settle in a village or city, grow crops or whatever profession that can sell, have a family, have players buy things you sell and just stay where you are at. While I love the idea quests and roaming around, sometimes, you just find yourself in breeland or the shire and just relax and stay there for a few days.

And we were very active at pvp on the dark side. We slaying thousends of free people for Mordor. 😂 It feels like coming home after years after I hear such tracks.

The memories are so profound strong in this, most of the older music in LOTRO are so loaded with memories for me that it feels like being thrown back into simpler times - another music track that also resonate with me is Hellfire Peninsula from World of Warcraft but there is something special with the music from LOTRO.

Can I ask what you think the ambient 'whirr' is? I guess it's supposed to be the wind but, having grown up in Oxfordshire, it could just as easily be the M40.
It makes me wonder if this particular sort of ambient noise would really exist in a pre-automobile world, and if the sound designer put it in because that's just what the English countryside sounds like now.
Perversely, motorway sounds do make me think of the countryside. So, whatever it is supposed to represent, it works!
