You are a lvl 28 character and all of a sudden you meet a lvl 29 toon wandering the land looking for a companion to do some quests. Just for the next few hours. Little do both of you know this encounter will make the two of you best friends in game for the next 5 years. Running dungeons, doing quests, fooling around with everyone else in your small pack that grew throughout these years. Then one day you realise that your friend no longer logs on. You have no way of contacting them, you start hopping servers to maybe find them. Not even the company of other players around you makes you feel the same. @@CoolBean tried to play other unofficial 136 servers to maybe find the same feeling i had in the past. Never did it happen. Moved on. Every time i played another mmorpg the memories kept coming back. I know its a game, but it has such a huge emotional impact on many of us.
I miss the time when I was 12-13 years old and I played this game from morning to evening, I no longer feel such emotions, that time cannot be returned, but the memory of it will remain with me forever, everything was so easy and simple, I had a childhood and it was not on the street, but In a perfect world and I don't regret anything
It helps if you can avoid comparing every new game to your favorite old games. When you're 12 or 13, you're not wondering if this is gonna be as good as some old game you played 15 years ago. Enjoy new experiences for what they are and you'd be surprised at what happens. Expectations are your worst enemy.

2008... creating a human wizard or warrior and running that path from the spawn area up to Etherblade, it was so packed full of other players that you were bumping elbows the entire way. Good times, happy times...
This game was launched by Level-Up Games in 2007 here in the Philippines. I was third year high school (9th grade) that time. This video gave me goosebumps all throughout that 29mins and 39secs. I miss those times when you have no heavy responsibilities in life. I was a male Fa Shih (Male Mage) when I joined Perfect World and stopped when I was level 68 because I had to prioritize my studies. Computer Shops were a big-hit here in Manila before, right after school, I always went to the computer shop to play this game. Such fun and loving days. I tried lots of MMORPG after playing this game, especially now I am playing MIR4. But this game really hit my soul. No other game made me feel how immersed I am in a game, the ability to swim on the deepest part of the ocean up to flying to highest part of the sky. No other game had made me feel how beautiful a game can be by just simply being amazed by the sceneries of the game and you can definitely go to all places without any restrictions. And the dungeon runs! I never had imagined that a game can be so much missed like this. I never thought a game can be a home. Thank you Perfect World, you made my childhood/teenage years great! Thank you for the memories!

i remember vividly loosing track of what was reality and game back in 2006-2007 during my vacation, as a kid this game really made me love it and miss it to this very day, i tried it again many times but it was never the same to me. Simpler times
The point in your life where you start to see the faint glimmer of something far greater than yourself in our universe. There is so much out there waiting for us. Faith alone can bring us there.
Can you still play the international and go to the same places as before? Tried to make a new character and all classes are spawned in the same place and idk if it's permanently or it's just a start quest, anybody know?
@@distantrealms Nvm i played it, now you have to complete a start quest before getting to the original map, which is also much bigger now but still has the same locations too. Also, now it's much easier to level up, when you finish the first quest and get back to the map, you're already lvl 20 and all the lvl 1-20 monsters from before are lvl 20+.
@@sladegaming6625 it's not fun anymore , too much feature , too much pay to win , too much gap between players , always empty on the map and chat , hard to find support from other players .
