Now that I’m here I agree with your comments. A little disappointing is the situation with cabanas at the pool which one can only use if you pay 109$ per day. Today it was $170US because of events…..with the cabana you get two beach chairs beside them…..which only leaves a few for anyone else….the cabanas on the beach are expensive but instead it was so nice to walk the beach north ward….a couple of public beaches which are bigger are just a few min walk away…..no trees at all on the beach….the pool entertainment today was fun…..also love the restaurants and the coffee shop which has its own balcony….I do recommend it…..what a view. Everyone is friendly and the resort is very clean. Thanks again for your video!

Thanks for watching and commenting. Thats good information, yikes cabanas can be soooooo expensive and you need some kind of shade sitting by the pool in the sun. I loved the pool entertainment so much fun to join and watch. Sounds like you had a nice time, Playa Del Carmen is one of our favorite places to go in Mexico. Thanks again for the support!!!!

Very excellent. Your videos are truly the best. Really, they are!! We are struggling to find the perfect all inclusive Mexican beach resort for our 50th. Tending toward mid February time frame. Just when I think, “this is the one” I learn about seaweed, loud millennials having fun, limited ocean views. Sigh. Any recommendations?

Glad you like them! Seaweed issue seems to be only certain times of the year. One of our favorite resorts in Mexico is Conrad Punta Mita - this is near Puerto Vallarta. Its a very relaxing hotel - Hilton Hotel right on the beach. I did a full hotel review of that, search Conrad Punta Mita Scottsdale Chick and you will find it. We are planning on going back to Punta Mita to stay at the Conrad later this year for a few days.

I absolutely love the Hilton Los Cabos but the prices have gone up and it’s not an all inclusive. I have a video of our last trip there in 21. Hope you find the perfect place! I’m looking for somewhere like the Hilton Los Cabos but less expensive for our 14th anniversary and my birthday.

Did you use the spa/massage? Is it included as well or extra?
Thank you for the info and video

None of the spa packages are included.
Those are extra charges, along with the Enclave Club, and some higher end steak options at dinner.

Review of the Resort: A "Memorable" Disappointment
Well, well, where do I begin with my stay at this resort? Let's call it an "experience" - one I'm eager to forget. From the moment you step foot into what claims to be a luxurious haven, you're swiftly transported to what feels more like a cattle farm. Ah yes, the ever-charming wristband - your badge of dishonor. So, if you fancy being an easily identifiable mark for every vendor, potential miscreant, and overly enthusiastic local in Playa del Carmen, this place has you covered!
Inside the resort? No escape. It's like being in a relentless sales pitch, but here, the ever-enthusiastic resort staff are the hawkers. Want to relax? Think again. They're always on standby to try and upsell you something. Upgrades, excursions, spa treatments, premium dinners - they're always on the hunt, and you're the prey. Ah, the serenity!
But where things truly take a dangerous turn? The so-called "security". For an establishment boasting its exclusivity, the behavior of some guests seemed more fitting for a backstreet bar brawl than a high-end retreat. The open bar? It's more like a ticking time bomb, drawing in unruly twenty and thirty-somethings. With their increasingly aggressive antics and sheer disregard for others' safety, you'd think the resort was auditioning for a reality show on brawls. The "security" team? Oh, they were there, but their indifference and inaction were alarmingly evident. It felt less like a retreat and more like a hazardous obstacle course, where every day brought a new set of challenges to one's personal safety.
"Smoke-free", they claimed. Yet the reality was an all-pervasive haze of secondhand smoke, and despite countless complaints, the smoky saga continued unhindered.
And don't get me started on the so-called all-inclusive deal. Overpriced restaurants and room service that felt more like a drag than a luxury. At 700-800 euros per night, the returns were pitifully inadequate. Mediocre drinks, a "piña colada" more reminiscent of murky puddle water, and dated rooms that screamed of neglect. My first night? A cacophonous symphony thanks to the ancient air conditioner, forcing an urgent room switch.
For a resort that parades itself as 5-star, a hesitant three would be a stretch. The raving reviews and promotional videos? One can't help but question their authenticity and how many palms were greased for those glowing endorsements.
In short, if you're seeking luxury and relaxation, this resort is a masterclass in how not to deliver either. Steer clear.

Oh boy I’m sorry your stay was so terrible! We didn’t get anyone bothering us & trying to up sell us anywhere at the resort. I agree it’s really for 20-30 year olds & that’s why I mentioned staying away from the main pool area. Sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay.

That's very strange as the first thing they do when you arrive is to try to upgrade the room (and we had the suite ocean front) second I can't believe they did not try to sell you SPA massages or premium dinner when you booked the dinner... believe me if you want a 5 star experience this is not the way to go. We have been to Four Seasons, Six Senses and others... and this is a mass chain productions for bovines !@@scottsdaletravelchick
