- After eight days, it has finally been seen on a Twitch stream. The Omega Protocol Ultmate's Final Phase (P6). Here's the incredible transtion which features Alpha joining with Omega to become the final phase's boss!

That's character development alright he went from" I'm the alpha and the omega" to "I'm the omega and I walk with the alpha," how fitting a heart for the heartless indeed
omega isn't "eating" alpha, they're combining
omega is meant to be the "strongest" and it is incorporating what it came to the conclusion was the "weakest" (alpha was specifically created to function as the weakest creature). remember that omega's people used to be super weak but learned to assimilate and incorporate new sources of strength. this is basically omega accepting weakness into itself again. it is fighting while understanding that it has to protect alpha

Ahh that makes sense. Omega realizes he "can transcend it's own limits" when it has to fight for something it loves.
The power of weakness: being weak means you have to be creative and seek out ways to be strong a naturally strong person might never discover.
yeah even the dialogue after says 'I am the Omega, and I walk with the Alpha'
I think it's significant that Omega's theme is called "From the heavens" and this final phase uses a theme called "Torn from the heavens" - Omega has come "down to Earth" as it were, and has become truly alive.

Holy smokes! Seeing Alpha helping Omega and now becoming Alpha Omega. This I didn't see coming. And yet this is beautiful!

ALPHA Omega also means God. By combining with Alpha, Omega understands what he sought for. TRULY AN AMAZING transition.
I actually sobbed when Alpha comforted Omega.

I love the thematic aspect of the final phase. Omega's entire story has been about it becoming strong enough to go back home, to excising all weakness from itself. And to this end it creates Alpha, the weakest creature, to help it understand this "mysterious power" that mortals have to surpass their own limits despite their weak frames
It tries and reaches incredible heights in its attempt to replicate us. But it doesn't understand. No amount of logic will ever help it understand.
Its only once Omega lays truly beaten and Alpha, despite the torture they put it theough, comes to comfort them that they finally just let go.
Omega accepts Alpha, accepts *weakness* into its heart, and *then it happens.*
Omega evolves and becomes *a god made manifest* , a being so powerfull it warps the rules of the universe just by existing. But one who no longer serves itself by honing its alredy impressive strength, instead it protects a being that can't protect itself!
*They are The Omega, who walks with The Alpha and who finally understands TRUE strength*
Man, I remember in Stormblood I thought Alpha was going to betray us and be the boss of O11.
The Race continues!
In savage he says i am the alpha, i am the omega. Here he says his omega and he walks with alpha which basically what happens after end of the raid.
No longer he walks alone, he accepts his weakness and has grown with his journey with alpha. In a way this phase is what current mini omega and alpha could be.

This really reminds me of dream devourer from Chrono Trigger (and Cross as well)
I had the exact same thoughts
On some level it's a tragedy to me that I'm nowhere near skilled enough for Ultimates, because the Omega raid chain and everything connected to it was one of this game's all-time emotional highs for me. (Not to say it was THE high, but it was certainly _A_ high.) Even knowing the Ultimates are non-canon, seeing Alpha and Omega teaming up is a moment of genuine joy for me.
It's funny the ultimates are non cannon yet Omega can do all these things. Toy Omega even said that he understand Dynamis and that its use wont be difficult.

Is it me or is this an altered frame for Eden’s Promise? Kind of like how Dragon King Thordan used a modified frame from Thunder God.
Edit: Apparently I should have been more clear on the “modified” part but yeah it’s not exactly the same rig as Eden’s Promise. Just all those arms on the top half than the bottom.

I thought we were getting a new song for this ultimate. Figured it would be in final phase since nothing else had new music.
ultimates haven't had completely new music before, just Primals versions of older songs
@@oleub23 Na I wasn't stating it as an expectation, it was LITERALLY in the patch notes that new music was added specifically for this ultimate.

I legitimately thought that the final phase was the 5th which left me thoroughly disappointed that there is no final never seen before form of omega. Those of us who’ve been around the block with ultimates immediately assumed there was a new phase just by virtue of the expected fight length alone.

I feel bad for the artists who make all the great enemy designs and everything else in the game only for it to be associated with Naoki Yoshida and no one else lmao
@@EikoHarvey just because I mention Naoki yoshida doesn't mean that I take away from what the artists do lol. In fact and as we speak I am awaiting the art of resurrection among the stars book to ship to my country 😂.
In fact, I dare say that the art design team in creative business unit 3 is by far the best in the gaming industry, rivaled only by Fromsoft in my opinion.

yes they do, it's not skippable
I can guarantee you even if it was skippable no one would skip. The cutscene is giving time for your buffs and cooldowns to come back
This is TEA conundrum all over again lol
On one hand yes you wait for buffs and cd to come back again, on the other hand jobs like blm monk cant keep their timers up
It's an Ultimate. First time? There is always a down time before EVERY last phase. It's to get the players time to refocus and let the CD tick down. It's needed. Trust me that 45 seconds of rest on DSR were more than welcomed.

@@boringfactor8792 agreed. Imagine the freak out from doing a WT Ultimate and the suddenly Kefka shows up to steal the kill and become the true fight of the Ultimate
was kinda hoping Kefka would show up the end and snap omega's neck and piss on them and absorb their power or something but no we can't have anything good in this game

@@fellruinn I honestly doubt that when even WE don’t understand dynamis. Good thing it’s emotional energy so you don’t need to understand it to have it work. It’s not exactly a proactive power, but a reactive power. It respond to emotion so best theory is that it responded to both Aloha and Omega to make… that.

Such a cool concept, but damn, what lackluster execution. The form itself just looks very, very incredibly underwhelming. It's... Omega F with a bit of Garuda and Ravana splashed in?
I don't know man, I can't help but feel like they could've done so much better with this, especially when you stack it up next to the final phases of the last two ults.

@@eliajshdjddj alpha and omega merging is an interesting idea, the way it was done is not to my liking, incorporates the original WOL design and gives it 3 sets of arms and feathers, not worthy of the last ultimate of this exp imo

@@Ike-ib7re Eeer you are talking our of your ass. The design has nothing going on for it that suggests it's inspired by the wol. If anything it looks like a hindu god (asura or chakravartin). The execution is top notch
@@eliajshdjddj It sort of does? It takes inspiration from the WoL's design that Amano drew for the 1.0 Collector's Edition box art. It's basically a mix of Amano's WoL and Hydaelyn with Omega motifs from its M and F forms.
meh, comparing this to DSR and TEA i can only say that i'm not impressed at all. Maybe i'm just salty that they ditched Exdeath and Kefka but still - the visuals and overall theme of this ultimate are not for me
If they added Kefka and exdeath, then they might as well just add midgardsormr and chaos as well. That would make the experience unbearable instead of enjoyable. Just look at the hell you have to go through to kill every variation of omega before his final transformation.
Mean while a UAV and NASA is examining this shit in another reality

@Diego Salazar Both of Omega's themes, "Heartless" & "From the Heavens", are medleys of "Maker's Ruins" (WoL theme) and "Torn from the Heavens". Dynamis is influenced by emotions and is the prevalent energy of the universe. Quote from Endwalker, dynamis = akasa is "a gift from on high - torn from the heavens".
Omega final form is a result of Omega realizing the true power of dynamis via experimentation, learning from the WoL and finally, its bond with Alpha.
At least this is my intepretation.
That's some nostalgia there from the music.
Sounds like the beginning from distance worlds IV: torn from the heavens version but deviates a bit, hard to tell with all the talking but pretty hype.
