Meccano Travelling Steam Crane

The crane's instructions were published in "How to use the Meccano steam engine" booklet 1929. The crane was designed to be used with a vertical boiler steam engine. I modified my model to use a Mamod for Meccano SP3 steam engine, which was produced between 1979 and 1985. You can find more pictures of the crane on the community tab of my channel.

Thank you, Stephen, for your kind words. The boiler and the steam engine were manufactured by the British company Mamod. This SP3 model was specifically designed to be compatible with Meccano construction sets.
