Amazing. I was doing a gel nail set on myself today, and one of the nails snapped off with the form.i just put a new form on and rebuilt it. I was so pleased with myself! Great to see errors being fixed. Great to see errors being made by someone of Tracy's level of experience. Proves we're all human. Well done. Xx
I'm glad there was some mess ups that's one thing I've always suggested to some of the other nail channels i watch is to do a video on whatever mistakes they can think of and show how to correct it but I have yet to see it done. I'd like to see steph do some real times it's nice to see each person's techniques one little thing can be a game changer i know it has for me a few times! Tfs always fun to watch and am I the only one that really wanted to see Gucci lol
Rhonda Allison No!!! I kept hoping she would get in frame, or they would bring her over to them, lol...I LOVE Animals, and it makes a good video, even better♥️
I’m like over here binge watching every single episode of real time and I just can’t get over how beautiful all these nails are that Tracey does! Her consistency is outstanding. They in now way look rushed or sloppy so I don’t get anyone saying these are. I take way longer sometimes and still can look messy so props to her, hell ya! 👌🙌
I just ordered some acrylic from young nails. And did and replaced my thumbs. I’m so impressed with the quality of the powder. Super Smooth I’m a fan and a student. Following Greg’s method. 🥰🥰🥰
I’m staring to get seriously addicted to young nails videos… I’m a fairly new nail tech and struggling with timing because I’m overthinking it a lot and I’m trying to make everything perfect but now I’m gonna try the way young nails do it. Tomorrow I’m giving my boyfriend some long nails to try and practice timing on him. 🤭 Usually I do three hours a set including nail art. I’ll let you know after trying young nails advice, how long it took me!
@@youngnailsinc pretty please with sugar on top! I need to invest in one seriously bad and there is no other company I would rather give my money to than YN!! Y'all are the best and it would look so good in between my two YN lights!
so for the cuticle prep all you use is the medium sanding band? have you ever used the little cuticle bits? does it make a difference when it comes to lifting
We tend to start with a traditional square nail as your basic shape. Anything other than that (Almond, Stiletto, Coffin, etc) would be a custom shape. Custom shapes tend to take a little longer and a little more effort to get perfect.
The finish looks great, but i will work a half hour longer, but have less to file. I always ply the gel more perfect for having less filework, because I hate filing
I liked the real time even though it was long. I notice you do not sue a gel base coat. Is that not necessary? Also I have used the YN primer and had reactions. That is not a I’d based correct? Why is it necessary to use the primer prior to polishing? I love yoke videos. Thanks. 😊🥇
Love this!!! I always tell my clients that removing the form is like opening the oven door when you’re baking a cake ...... I always do it holding my breath it’s THE MOST stressful part of sculpting for me 😂
Looks a lot like a white version of the Aprés dust collector! Would love to see another version of a dust collector with the same concept as the zephyros with single-use filter sheets for easy clean up!
Awesome video, such good tips. Is the vent you are using is that something from young nails if not what brand dust extractor is it? And what do you think of it?
Leanne Hunt Then YOU would be my PERFECT Nail Tech🙂 I can’t do long nails...Over bling nails...The length I like on myself personally, is the medium sports length. It’s just a free edge slightly over your thumb...And I (On Myself) can’t do Almond, Stiletto, and any funky shapes, lol. The coffin/ballerina is ok, but if I wore it, it would be short, so Idk if it would look good...I just like a round nail...Like sometimes when I file, I round out the sides and slightly flatten the top...So I suppose it would be considered “Sqround” Lol, Round and Square...But Yeah, I would like to see shorter nail tutorials as well🥰
Or even clients who require a LOT of prep work (those who go a long time between fills or extreme cuticle growth) and those common clients with brittle/weak nails from biting or picking
Beautiful irridescent glitter!😍 I do have another question though how come at young nails you guys always protein bond after filing? In fact it looked like you doubled up on it. I watch a lot of gel nail videos and I dont see light elegance nail techs do this (unless they are doing chrome nails) but one tech said she thought it was a waste of product. I think you do it as an extra assurance to prevent lifting with the gel polish and top coat? I personally hate lifting so I do this step myself
Correct, it isn't like life or death to use after filing but it is insurance to guarantee absolutely no chipping or peeling of the gel polish or gel top coat.
Sometimes it can be hard to tell, but some designs can be done in either. It would be up to you to determine which medium would be easiest for you to achieve it.
Love these tracy and great to meet you in Blackpool. I was the one with the sore throat and could Barely say hi 😂 great to meet the Dream Team ! Come back soon. xxx
No, we used our Ultimate Finish top coat. It's great for sugaring since it doesn't have a tacky surface after it's cured and it also has a little thicker consistency. Because of the thicker consistency, when you sprinkle the glitter on top, it will absorb into the coat. Once you cure, it will hold the glitter in place and then you can dust off the excess. At this point, the glitter is secured and won't transfer.
Are these nail towels reusable? Might seem like a dumb question but I’m getting ready to graduate and love these products and am trying to decide what I want to use! These towels look AMAZING
Could yous maybe think about doing a video off how to correct things that can go wrong during a service I haven’t seen a video on youtube like it It be awesome if you guys did it then hopefully more people will create something along the same line.I also think Tracey and greg or Steph and Tracey’ would do a great job off trying out a little comedy as a one off sort off thing like for Christmas do a (worst client ) were use act out all the things clients can do thats’ well a little’ annoying ! Lol just for some fun it be nice to see another side to all off you’s.
Haha actually love the idea. We definitely try to incorporate real life salon mistakes, like in this episode she snapped the form off and stuck her finger in it lol. but love the idea of an actual intentional episode of a problem client
If I don’t have a lamp that has low heat mode for when applying gel so that the client doesn’t feel that burn, if they do feel the burn every time they get their nails done, would that be harmful to their nail eventually?
Not harmful but uncomfortable. You should have them go in & out of the lamp a few times before going fully in to lessen the burning by slowing the cure process
Tracy can you tell me what bit you used when you filed your clients nails? I would like to purchase it. By the way great job, I love watching your demos I've learned so much from you thank you🙂
I always think about that too lol but I was raised by my grandmother and she always said waste not want not and I'm really ocd I even open my glitter over a piece of paper just in case some may fall out. Guess it's good and bad i probably waste a lot of time trying to make sure everything is perfect lol
What do you do if your client touches the gel while the sticky layer is there and your in the middle of application and they get fuzz or dust on the nail
Tell them it's extra ;) haha jk. stop swipe it away, re protein bond and continue. At this point would be a conversation with the client to inform them that the tack will remain throughout the service and that they need to keep their hands on the desk. When I was in salon I would fix it the once then I really would leave it if it happened again. Definitely didn't happen a 3rd time after that lol.
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤔🙏 i hope that’s a young Nails dust extractor I’ve been asking about?????? I almost ordered something today. 🙏🙏🙏🙏 please please make one. I rather give you the $😊
Do you guys ever get clients that want their cuticles cut really really well. Like a Russian style type of cutting. Like they would want me to cut all around their skin. Would you do it or would you explain why they don’t need to do that?
I'm new to this channel and have found many helpful tips. I know it's 3y ago this was posted but it's definitely the lowest quality I've seen you guys do. From all the mumbling, and constant talking about the camera to the slap job ... yikes. Literal quote at 24 mins " the bumps the lumps...sitting here and trying to make it pretty and precise is just gonna cost me time" Like all the filing and wasting product isn't an issue? Very bizarre.
Real Time is my favorite. I hope to see more in the near future. Possibly with new colors and glitters!
Thank you for the feedback & for watching
Can you guys do a real time with Melissa? I would love to see a full set of dimensional nails and how long that actually takes!
Also tips on how not to get sunburned from the uv/led lamps. 🙏🏽

I just got the gel trial kit and I’m so I love with potted gel more than acrylic. I LOVE UR PRODUCTS!!!! Amazing!!!
Awesome

good advice on the angle of the efile at the cuticle! good reminder . at times i just get on auto pilot and forget thank u!💜
Welcome, happy you enjoyed it
Beautiful set!!! 💕 and the puppy on the background sounds so cute 🐕 🥰💅
Traisy you are wonderful in you job and the way you teach 🥰🥰🥰
love watching ur videos to stay on task through the day when im trying to get my head in the game!
Nice
Enjoy the real time videos. Nice to see you using a dust collector ♡
Thank you! 🤗

Great video as always and so glad to see mistakes coz that's how we learn❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍
For sure!
Can one use gel polish and with acrylic and powder
Yes, you can apply gel polish on top of acrylic nails.
Love Tracey's videos!
Beautiful!
Love that glitter mix 😍
Would have also loved to see Gucci 🥰😁
😲 OMG my favourite set of nails. Tracy you’re the best . Love your work.
❤️❤️
Tracey handling it like a boss! 🎀
Is swipe basically a dehydrator before the primer protein bond? Can using alchool work instead of swipe?
No alcohol can not replace swipe, swipe is chemically formulated to dehydrate the natural nail even changing PH levels.
I'm hoping that's a new young nails dust collector 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾
Never know what's coming!
Me too
Me three
Omg I'm so excited I hope so!! I need a better one so bad!!
Yep med sanding band. Some people like cuticle bits and if you are practiced in them then that is great.
They came out so beautiful
Sure did
What would you consider a custom shape and how would you differentiate that from regular shapes?
We tend to start with a traditional square nail as your basic shape. Anything other than that (Almond, Stiletto, Coffin, etc) would be a custom shape. Custom shapes tend to take a little longer and a little more effort to get perfect.
Turned out good but what happened to the ombre part?
Do your gel have much of a heat spike? I'm wanting to try your product.
Not with the new tube gels + the new lamp with the gradual heat setting
The finish looks great, but i will work a half hour longer, but have less to file. I always ply the gel more perfect for having less filework, because I hate filing
That's great, whatever works best for you is ideal!
I liked the real time even though it was long. I notice you do not sue a gel base coat. Is that not necessary? Also I have used the YN primer and had reactions. That is not a I’d based correct? Why is it necessary to use the primer prior to polishing?
I love yoke videos. Thanks. 😊🥇
Love this. The shape and everything.
Same!
i love see that ur gel isnt always pretty but u have enough product and an efile so end result is amazing!
Exactly!
Lovely
Beautiful as always! Love the gel sets!
❤️❤️
Love this!!! I always tell my clients that removing the form is like opening the oven door when you’re baking a cake ...... I always do it holding my breath it’s THE MOST stressful part of sculpting for me 😂
hahaha such a good comparison
Is this hybrid or straight gel you're using in the tube?
Looks a lot like a white version of the Aprés dust collector! Would love to see another version of a dust collector with the same concept as the zephyros with single-use filter sheets for easy clean up!
Interesting feedback will take that into consideration
Soooooo gorgeous 😍😍😍😍
❤️❤️
Awesome video, such good tips. Is the vent you are using is that something from young nails if not what brand dust extractor is it? And what do you think of it?
Possibly, still testing
Wish you guy's would do shorter nails.
None of my clients will have this length ..
More videos coming daily there is always room for some shorties!
Leanne Hunt Then YOU would be my PERFECT Nail Tech🙂

How do you know if the design a client brings to you is done in acrylic or gel?
Sometimes it can be hard to tell, but some designs can be done in either. It would be up to you to determine which medium would be easiest for you to achieve it.

Can't wait to come back!
Love the use of the gel more lately!
👀 at that dust collector ...
Always trying to incorporate all our products.
I'd LOVE to see a tutorial of Tracy's nails.
Did u put base gel for glittering on?
No, we used our Ultimate Finish top coat. It's great for sugaring since it doesn't have a tacky surface after it's cured and it also has a little thicker consistency. Because of the thicker consistency, when you sprinkle the glitter on top, it will absorb into the coat. Once you cure, it will hold the glitter in place and then you can dust off the excess. I was wondering if you guys were planning to come out with a product like apre gel x I would love that because I love everything youngnails
Not in the plans for us, no
When will that dust collector come out and what is the price?? 😍😍
All undecided! Still in the testing phases
Since it’s in the testing phases, please consider testing it against the zephyr dust collectors.

Agree with the YN response.... have them put their hand in, 123, pull out, back in 123, out, then it should be 👌🏼
Tracy can you tell me what bit you used when you filed your clients nails? I would like to purchase it. By the way great job, I love watching your demos I've learned so much from you thank you🙂
Safety bit coarse to shape, and diamond bit for prep
YoungNailsInc for the diamond bit is it the cross cut medium or coarse for prep?
Almondetto!!♥️

There is so much glitter on the table! I think little slower would save a lot of product.

@@youngnailsinc It's still a lot of glitter/money being thrown away.

For sure more videos coming daily

As always
Whats the name of that glitter, please tell me all the glitters you put in that mix? Because I'm placing a new order tomorrow for the cross cut bits.
Diamond dust, crushed pearl, and rock star

Table towels they are available on our website
💜 love

Yay I actually got first had to pause lol glad to see some gel nails though
Nice
is there anyway you could help me choose a nail color to go with my homecoming dress?
That would be a great question for your tech
What do you consider regular shape vs custom shape?
Standard would be like short natural or short square. Any special shapes and or added length are custom.
Bravo Tracy 👏👏👏👏👏😍💕💕💕🇩🇿🇩🇿
Thanks
Is that a 100 grit file she is using to shape the nails?
150
