Honestly one of the main reasons I got this is for the split screen capabilities. Game creators need to realize that people still hang out with each other.
I hate the Fanboy wars bruh I can say I do play PS4 but I would definetly pick this game up if i had an xbox one and I might actually buy an xbox one for this game some others. Modern shooters most definitely own Halo a debt, shooters on console would be all, but nonexistent if Halo never existed. As for Halo owing a debt to Quake or Unreal Tournament, I can't say, although they do share a lot of things in common.

I think this deserves a 10/10 considering each one of these games by themselves got at least a 9. Sure there is some matchmaking issues, but that happens in every huge launch, and is expected in this one considering how big the multiplayer is. I think that rating it a 9 simply for that is a bit harsh, especially because of how hard they are working to fix it.
There's so much they missed tooo like the skulls, scoring and more. I think it deserves a 9.7. If only there were no multiplayer issues and they reviewed it later when they're fixed then it would have gotten a higher score. Oh well.
The games are 9s, you said so yourself, having several 9s together is still a 9 overall. If it were cumulative then a collection of four 2.5s would get a 10.

Should get a 5 or 6. Half the game simply doesn't work. Can't score it based on potential fixes. I love halo but this is disappointing. They can adjust the score when and if the MP issues get fixed but it does not deserve a 9 right now

Halo: MCC has had 2 days of servers issues and it gets a 1 point deduction. DriveClub which is STILL having server issues a month after launch had no mention of online problems in its review. Sony is paying IGN a pretty penny for these reviews.
If those accounted for the point score then the game would get a 3 because there were only 4 good things noted. Those are just acknowledgements that there are problems, it doesn't mean each is worth a point.

Alright it's pretty clear you're not understanding me here. A game with no notable faults doesn't automatically get a 10, the concept behind the game just might not be 10/10 material. There is no discernible fault with Portal or Brothers:ToTS, but that doesn't automatically make them 10s.

Halo Is in my opinion the Most Memorable Gaming Franchise of the 21st Century..So many Memories and to live them again..its a good feeling. Not only that, Halo did Innovate the open world and FPS and is the main inspiration for most shooters we have today

Mp issues are temporary, frame rates almost never drop for me personally, co-op has to do with flooded xbox live servers, it is 1080p, loading screens are because it is 1080- and remastered cut scenes, those 4 "generic outdated games" are some of the best games ever made.

IGN didn't take point off for that, so why shouldn't the same principle be applied here? Only Halo 2 is not 1080p, and that is because it is running two engines at once, that is still a challenge. Don't get me wrong I am very glad to own the game and I am going to be even more happy with having it after all these things are fixed.
Shawn Conner The games multiplayer had issues. That's expected considering the entire work load it got put under with the influx of players. Otherwise, the game was fine. To say its broken just because of that isn't right. You have 4 campaigns that are completely playable. I really don't understand why people act like there is nothing to play or something is broken just because multiplayer is temporally down, multiplayer i might add that's literally already fixed.

Had a PS4 since last year but bought an Xbox One just for this game since I've never played Halo 1, 2, or 3 before. Can't believe how much I'm enjoying the campaigns so far! Definitely an awesome experience! :)
Combine the playtimes of all 4 games and that's a little less than half a single run of DA:I. It's certainly a good amount of content, but it's not amazing.

Glad I grew up when I did. I got to see an amazing evolution in gaming from SNES to now is insane. Makes me really appreciate what we have today. Feel bad for the kids that didn't get to see that and now take these awesome games for granted.

Although I admit I prefer xbox to playstation I do still play games for fun. I will soon enough own a PS4 so that I can play their games too on top of the ones I have for XB1.
Finally someone understands! 1080p and 60fps shouldn't matter when it doesn't make much of a difference anyway! It's all about whether the gameplay is fun or not, and sometimes, whether the story is good or not. The highest speed and resolution shouldn't come before all of that.
Now that multiplayer is fixed and running great it is an incredibly amazing game, if you are a die hard halo fan you'd realize that. You can dissect any game to a point where you find little things wrong with it. Like Jesus Christ it's 4 games plus ODST put into one game!!! If this came out years ago people would be losing their minds at the idea of this. Just shows how spoiled gamers are today. It was a sad sad day when Microsoft turned off the servers for Halo 2 years ago so being able to play this again along with Halo CE for the first time truly is a blessing. 11/10.
Silly PS fanboys, I guess they forgot that the PS1 and 2 the lowest in terms of graphics compared to what was available at the time. PS4 might have the best hardware but it lacks good games. A good AAA exclusive game comes out every 4-6 months on PS4 and those being Infamous SS, Little Big planet 3 and in Early 2015 Bloodborne. Besides Uncharted 4 no exclusive game on PS4 is currently better than their 3rd party or competing exclusive game counterpart Infamous SS
You fail to realize that during the PS2 era people played games without worrying about graphics and fps unlike the gamers of today. And seeing as the PS2 era was and still is the best time of gaming it really didn't matter that the graphics weren't that great. Plus I remember thinking games looked amazing during that time so you could so that doesn't really matter.
See, I can get what most of this. The problem, some of these don't work. Killzone is way better than Titanfall and COD. Especially the first 2. Infamous has actual story on top of amazing gameplay and graphics. And the Project Spark thing...... PS ain't got nothin on LBP.
Saying that I got to relive my halo 3 custom games moments on this collection it makes it a must buy if you haven't played halo 3 custom games and you are new well you are in for a treat trust me. Custom games is probably the best thing about this collection.

Halo MCC get's marked down for it's multiplayer issues, but why didn't Driveclub? Or countless other games that came out with multiplayer issues like GTA 5? We KNOW multiplayer will be fixed, so why base a PERMANENT score on a TEMPORARY problem? I understand marking it down if it had terrible frame rate, was completely buggy or something like that, sorry, but I can't agree on this review.

I agree that they should of tested it more, but permanently mark down a score for something that will be fixed in a week isn't fair, especially considering how long these developers work on their games. It should of been stated in the Driveclub review that the multiplayer was broken and gotten marked down for that, it's only fair since that's the only reason Halo got marked down.
***** Read dead has a multiplayer, and he didn't mark down the multiplayer, he marked down the mutlipaler issues, so again Driveclub should of gotten marked down because you couldn't even enter the mutliplayer in the first place. It's not a valid point to mark a game down, you're reviewing the game, not the issues with something that will be fixed soon.
I hate what 343 did with halo, specially with h5, never thought i would sell a halo game until 5. But I do have to thank them for bringing the MCC to life! Being able to play again Halo 2 online is a dream come true! A nostalgic trip into an awesome time that brings back the best memories ever! Even after the fiasco of the original release , the game brings back halo ce , halo 2 and 3 with the campaigns! I still play to this day Halo 2 and 3 on the mcc and enjoyed every second of it, after PUGB there’s really no other games I enjoy playing as much as Halo 2 and 3 online! 14 years since Halo 2 came out and the fact that i can still play the games i played back then its beyond amazing! I am so grateful for the MCC
As a massive Halo fan from before the first Halo even came out, i can say 343 did what no one has ever done before: They brought back a killer franchise more epic than ever. I was really happy to see this on a more personal level with MC and Cortana, however the game is most certainly not perfect. I knew 343 is new with Halo but i really hope they will take what they learned this game and bring back what made the originals so great which Halo 4 is lacking, that's why some don't like it. The biggest issue was multiplayer, far too COD but we have the Beta coming soon with some major evolution changes. Arbiter should make fan boys like me chill to the bone in Halo 5 whether he's pulling awesome one liners or stabbing traitors in the back, hell yeah :) Another problem is though they changed the story line too much, it takes a really big step in changing the campaign but just a little too far if you know what i mean. The Spartan IV's weren't all that great except maybe Palmer, hopefully they will have more meaning in Halo 5. Also most important note, BRING BACK THE HALO MUSIC! I had goosebumps when i heard the original Halo music for the first time in halo 4 and that was the 2nd to last mission! Overall i have high hopes for 343 and Halo 5, Halo 4 was a great start to a new trilogy, but maybe not the best one for a Halo trilogy. "It's magnificent, but it's not Halo"
I'm not trying to hate of anything but are we forgetting that MGS LEGACY was something that should be applauded on that level, I mean you did say that 343 did something that hasent been done and I'd say judging from the MGS LEGACY that what you said is false. And not to be a hater but atleast Killzone's collection had MP working on day one. This is still broken and it's making me kind of regret my purchase, thinking about getting my money back but only one will tell. Anyways I am glad to hear that you are happy with this collection, it's quite remarkable for the campaign aspect. I'm sure I'll get that same feeling with the Uncharted Collection next year.
I loved Halo 4, and I give 343 total faith that they'll fix whatever minor issues there were in the game. This is their first major title with an already built-in obsessed [and sometimes irrational] fanbase. For the shit they pushed through, they did good. And I love what they've done to the Halo universe. This series is so detailed and complex to the point it attempts to shape past, present and future events. People have whined that it's "too much", but this is what Halo was always meant to be. Bungie envisioned this, too. Books, animated short films, comics, encyclopedias... this was meant to be even before they passed the reigns over. And to not push the boundaries would be a waste. Really looking forward to Halo 5 and what it brings to the table.
Looking in to getting an Xbox One and this is the first game (or collection) I was planning on getting. My question is, should I get a physical copy of the game or download it straight to the XBO? Part of me thinks the game will be a bit more stable if I just download it considering the amount of content in the collection.
This review really grinds my gears. So apparently the massive low point is the buggy multiplayer DAYS AFTER LAUNCH, not considering any patches set to roll out very soon. I mean come, on give the game(s) a break... also yes considering the fact that this is a bundle of 4 multiplayers rolled into 1. You made a mistake there. When a game is released, you should consider it finished. When a game is launched, and the multiplayer is a buggy mess, that means the game isn't finished, and should have been delayed. Back in the day, games couldn't be updated, so the developers had to finish the game. Now, companies intentionally release their games unfinished with the promise of "we'll update the game" "we'll finish it later". Imagine if you needed to submit an assignment at school and you only submitted 30% of the assignment saying "I'll finish it later". The teacher would laugh at you and give you a big ol' zero points. People that justify releasing games in an unfinished state are the reason the cyberpunk 2077/fallout 76 disaster happened
I grew up with Halo, my first Halo game was Halo 3, which I played in 2007, a few weeks after it came out, and I currently have ALL the Halo games (Currently not Master Chief Collection) I really like this review, so I can get a headstart on what to expect.

I used to be a big Halo fan, and the truth is ... Halos old, it used to be awesome, but watching my mate play through some of the MCC campaigns, even he was shocked at how cheesy and poorly acted all the campaigns are, I honestly don't think I has aged well at all...and with MP being pretty much a lag fest I'd give MCC a 7/10... Only for die hard fans, but even then its pushing it
campaign wise the stories and VA only really stepped up the serious tone in halo 3 and 4, CE and 2 are quite jarring in comparison but they are still fantastic in terms of fps design and balance
Its Insane that you can play all over 100 maps of halo 1-4 in the same one disc!!!, thats why i love this collection, never there have been so many maps in one multiplayer game!
As a Halo veteran, acting against my wallet's desperate cries, I must admit that this eventually pulled me in and I ordered an Xbox One which is coming tomorrow. I've been playing the Halo PC version online for years now. It will be nice to play it on the Xbox One, albeit missing a few things as far as I can see, such as rocket hogs, the fuel rod cannon and the flame thrower. Also, it would have been very respectful to the community if Microsoft added (with the creators' consent) some of the custom user-created Halo: CE maps, since there are some that are spectacular. I don't have high hopes for working multiplayer yet. It doesn't bother me. I've got a very long campaign to play on Legendary which I'm psyched for. I also never got Halo 4, so that's a bonus for me. (To be honest, I didn't like what I saw of the multiplayer-too Call of Duty-like.) If anyone wants to buddy up with me and get through the campaign, start to finish, on Legendary, let me know. Unfortunately most of my friends have either PS4s or play on PC (I'm a PC gamer primarily though), but whilst I had a low opinion of the Xbox One at first, I think it's rising above the PS4 at last.

Yes, yes, 100 times, yes! The older games had the best campaigns in the series. If the only campaign you've played is 5, you've got one hell of a treat ahead of you. Also, Halo 3: ODST is a $5 DLC. As far as I'm concerned, it's totally worth it.

Take it from the biggest fanboy and supporter of Halo, I completely agree with this review. There is NO point to having such a great game and then having it be completely let down by having no multiplayer. Why have all 100+ maps IF YOU CAN'T USE THEM? The multiplayer issues are the only thing holding it back. And as long as they are there then it doesn't deserve a perfect ten.
Quick question. I know that the multiplayer is fixed now. Let's say I want to play Halo 2's multiplayer. Is there an option to select that game's multiplayer matchmaking, or do people vote on which game is played?
There is different playlists. Say you wanted to play team slayer. That would Halo 1 2 and 3. But there are playlists that play only one specific game for instance there's a halo 2 anniversary playlists then there's halo ce playlists and so on. Hope this helped!

I really don't understand how anyone could post any sort of review for a game that's mainly broken. I think we should all reserve judgment for when 343, hopefully, fixes these issues. It's utterly ridiculous that it's gone on for so long now really. Day 1/2 is forgivable, it happens all the time when kids flood the servers on release, but 5 days now and it's getting silly.

At least the campaign works though and multiplayer has gotten better. I won't be done with all the missions until the end of this week but by then hopefully they fix multiplayer perfectly because I want to play Halo 4 MP but I can't find a match for that one

Also, the MCC section of the official Halo forums is consistently busy, with many sharing custom gametypes and forge maps. So there's still a sizeable playerbase. After all, bugs or no bugs, the MCC kicks Halo 5's overhyped arse.

I think this deserves a 10/10 considering each one of these games by themselves got at least a 9. Sure there is some matchmaking issues, but that happens in every huge launch, and is expected in this one considering how big the multiplayer is. I think that rating it a 9 simply for that is a bit harsh, especially because of how hard they are working to fix it.
Also, they didn't even mention the fact that it comes with halo nightfall and the halo 5 guardians beta.
As much as I love this collection, it deserves a point loss for the multiplayer issues.
There's so much they missed tooo like the skulls, scoring and more. I think it deserves a 9.7. If only there were no multiplayer issues and they reviewed it later when they're fixed then it would have gotten a higher score. Oh well.

Halo: MCC has had 2 days of servers issues and it gets a 1 point deduction. DriveClub which is STILL having server issues a month after launch had no mention of online problems in its review. Sony is paying IGN a pretty penny for these reviews.

Mp issues are temporary, frame rates almost never drop for me personally, co-op has to do with flooded xbox live servers, it is 1080p, loading screens are because it is 1080- and remastered cut scenes, those 4 "generic outdated games" are some of the best games ever made.
Your comment obviously shows that you are 100% biased to Playstation. Granted multiplayer issues are present, but they were also for Driveclub. IGN didn't take point off for that, so why shouldn't the same principle be applied here? Only Halo 2 is not 1080p, and that is because it is running two engines at once, that is still a challenge. "our generic, boring, and outdated shooters for $60" These 'boring' shooters set the foundation for online multiplayer, because of Halo, CoD exists. Each of the other mentioned games were also well received by other outlets. They all sit above a 80 on metacritic. It's great value for money and the online issues will subside before the new year. There isn't a great deal to criticise, particularly considering how much playtime you can get simply from single player in this collection for just £45 (or $60). For any Xbox/Halo fan this game is exciting and if you're neither of those things then this game wasn't made for you was it? It doesn't really need your input.

People bought it for the reason of hearing Halo 2 multiplayer and all of Halo's multiplayer on one disk. To say its broken just because of that isn't right. You have 4 campaigns that are completely playable. I really don't understand why people act like there is nothing to play or something is broken just because multiplayer is temporally down, multiplayer i might add that's literally already fixed.

Although I admit I prefer xbox to playstation I do still play games for fun. I will soon enough own a PS4 so that I can play their games too on top of the ones I have for XB1.
Finally someone understands! 1080p and 60fps shouldn't matter when it doesn't make much of a difference anyway! It's all about whether the gameplay is fun or not, and sometimes, whether the story is good or not. The highest speed and resolution shouldn't come before all of that.
Now that multiplayer is fixed and running great it is an incredibly amazing game, if you are a die hard halo fan you'd realize that. You can dissect any game to a point where you find little things wrong with it. Like Jesus Christ it's 4 games plus ODST put into one game!!! If this came out years ago people would be losing their minds at the idea of this. Just shows how spoiled gamers are today. It was a sad sad day when Microsoft turned off the servers for Halo 2 years ago so being able to play this again along with Halo CE for the first time truly is a blessing. 11/10.

Silly PS fanboys, I guess they forgot that the PS1 and 2 the lowest in terms of graphics compared to what was available at the time. PS4 might have the best hardware but it lacks good games. A good AAA exclusive game comes out every 4-6 months on PS4 and those being Infamous SS, Little Big planet 3 and in Early 2015 Bloodborne. Besides Uncharted 4 no exclusive game on PS4 is currently better than their 3rd party or competing exclusive game counterpart

Saying that I got to relive my halo 3 custom games moments on this collection it makes it a must buy if you haven't played halo 3 custom games and you are new well you are in for a treat trust me. Custom games is probably the best thing about this collection.
Giving it a Full point deduction because of it's multiplayer, which is something that will deffo be fixed in the near future. Hopefully Mcafool will update his review. For me this is a 10/10 reliving the old memories of halo. Prob in 2/3 Years there will be a Halo 3 Re-master

I jumped on this yesterday and had no problem finding a game. the MCC is still strong and full of players in each game mode. Get on and play some HALO people!
Halo MCC get's marked down for it's multiplayer issues, but why didn't Driveclub? Or countless other games that came out with multiplayer issues like GTA 5? We KNOW multiplayer will be fixed, so why base a PERMANENT score on a TEMPORARY problem? I understand marking it down if it had terrible frame rate, was completely buggy or something like that, sorry, but I can't agree on this review.

I agree that they should of tested it more, but permanently mark down a score for something that will be fixed in a week isn't fair, especially considering how long these developers work on their games. "If you can't play Driveclubs multiplayer then how can you review it" then how come's it's fine to review Halo's multiplayer when he only got into a few games. It should of been stated in the Driveclub review that the multiplayer was broken and gotten marked down for that, it's only fair since that's the only reason Halo got marked down.
***** Read dead has a multiplayer, and he didn't mark down the multiplayer, he marked down the mutlipaler issues, so again Driveclub should of gotten marked down because you couldn't even enter the mutliplayer in the first place. It's not a valid point to mark a game down, you're reviewing the game, not the issues with something that will be fixed soon.
I hate what 343 did with halo, specially with h5, never thought i would sell a halo game until 5. But I do have to thank them for bringing the MCC to life! Being able to play again Halo 2 online is a dream come true! A nostalgic trip into an awesome time that brings back the best memories ever!
Even after the fiasco of the original release , the game brings back halo ce , halo 2 and 3 with the campaigns! I still play to this day Halo 2 and 3 on the mcc and enjoyed every second of it, after PUGB there’s really no other games I enjoy playing as much as Halo 2 and 3 online! 14 years since Halo 2 came out and the fact that i can still play the games i played back then its beyond amazing! I am so grateful for the MCC

As a massive Halo fan from before the first Halo even came out, i can say 343 did what no one has ever done before: They brought back a killer franchise more epic than ever.
I was really happy to see this on a more personal level with MC and Cortana, however the game is most certainly not perfect. I knew 343 is new with Halo but i really hope they will take what they learned this game and bring back what made the originals so great which Halo 4 is lacking, that's why some don't like it. The biggest issue was multiplayer, far too COD but we have the Beta coming soon with some major evolution changes.
Arbiter should make fan boys like me chill to the bone in Halo 5 whether he's pulling awesome one liners or stabbing traitors in the back, hell yeah :)
Another problem is though they changed the story line too much, it takes a really big step in changing the campaign but just a little too far if you know what i mean. The Spartan IV's weren't all that great except maybe Palmer, hopefully they will have more meaning in Halo 5. Also most important note, BRING BACK THE HALO MUSIC! I had goosebumps when i heard the original Halo music for the first time in halo 4 and that was the 2nd to last mission!
Overall i have high hopes for 343 and Halo 5, Halo 4 was a great start to a new trilogy, but maybe not the best one for a Halo trilogy. "It's magnificent, but it's not Halo"
I'm not trying to hate of anything but are we forgetting that MGS LEGACY was something that should be applauded on that level, I mean you did say that 343 did something that hasent been done and I'd say judging from the MGS LEGACY that what you said is false. And not to be a hater but atleast Killzone's collection had MP working on day one. This is still broken and it's making me kind of regret my purchase, thinking about getting my money back but only one will tell. Anyways I am glad to hear that you are happy with this collection, it's quite remarkable for the campaign aspect. I'm sure I'll get that same feeling with the Uncharted Collection next year.

I loved Halo 4, and I give 343 total faith that they'll fix whatever minor issues there were in the game. This is their first major title with an already built-in obsessed [and sometimes irrational] fanbase. For the shit they pushed through, they did good.
And I love what they've done to the Halo universe. This series is so detailed and complex to the point it attempts to shape past, present and future events. People have whined that it's "too much", but this is what Halo was always meant to be. Bungie envisioned this, too. Books, animated short films, comics, encyclopedias... this was meant to be even before they passed the reigns over. And to not push the boundaries would be a waste.
Really looking forward to Halo 5 and what it brings to the table.
Looking in to getting an Xbox One and this is the first game (or collection) I was planning on getting. My question is, should I get a physical copy of the game or download it straight to the XBO? Part of me thinks the game will be a bit more stable if I just download it considering the amount of content in the collection.

So apparently the massive low point is the buggy multiplayer DAYS AFTER LAUNCH, not considering any patches set to roll out very soon. I mean come, on give the game(s) a break... also yes considering the fact that this is a bundle of 4 multiplayers rolled into 1. Meanwhile, GTA 5 which had an appalling start to its multiplayer receives ridiculous scores like 10/10.

You made a mistake there. When a game is released, you should consider it finished. When a game is launched, and the multiplayer is a buggy mess, that means the game isn't finished, and should have been delayed. Back in the day, games couldn't be updated, so the developers had to finish the game. Now, companies intentionally release their games unfinished with the promise of "we'll update the game" "we'll finish it later". Imagine if you needed to submit an assignment at school and you only submitted 30% of the assignment saying "I'll finish it later". The teacher would laugh at you and give you a big ol' zero points. People that justify releasing games in an unfinished state are the reason the cyberpunk 2077/fallout 76 disaster happened

last year I went from 360 which was my main system for gaming, then I moved to the PS4 as did many xbox gamers, now Halo is bringing me back going to be getting a xbone in a week or two just for this and Halo 5 when it comes out.

First of all, I'm a Playstation Gamer for life. But god am I excited to get this tomorrow. I've never played halo before, and I'm so excited to be a part of that community on Xbox One.
I used to be a big Halo fan, and the truth is ... Halos old, it used to be awesome, but watching my mate play through some of the MCC campaigns, even he was shocked at how cheesy and poorly acted all the campaigns are, I honestly don't think I has aged well at all...and with MP being pretty much a lag fest I'd give MCC a 7/10... Only for die hard fans, but even then its pushing it

campaign wise the stories and VA only really stepped up the serious tone in halo 3 and 4, CE and 2 are quite jarring in comparison but they are still fantastic in terms of fps design and balance

Its Insane that you can play all over 100 maps of halo 1-4 in the same one disc!!!, thats why i love this collection, never there have been so many maps in one multiplayer game!
As a Halo veteran, acting against my wallet's desperate cries, I must admit that this eventually pulled me in and I ordered an Xbox One which is coming tomorrow. I've been playing the Halo PC version online for years now. It will be nice to play it on the Xbox One, albeit missing a few things as far as I can see, such as rocket hogs, the fuel rod cannon and the flame thrower. Also, it would have been very respectful to the community if Microsoft added (with the creators' consent) some of the custom user-created Halo: CE maps, since there are some that are spectacular.
I don't have high hopes for working multiplayer yet. It doesn't bother me. I've got a very long campaign to play on Legendary which I'm psyched for. I also never got Halo 4, so that's a bonus for me. (To be honest, I didn't like what I saw of the multiplayer-too Call of Duty-like.) If anyone wants to buddy up with me and get through the campaign, start to finish, on Legendary, let me know. Unfortunately most of my friends have either PS4s or play on PC (I'm a PC gamer primarily though), but whilst I had a low opinion of the Xbox One at first, I think it's rising above the PS4 at last.
Patch is coming out today to fix the issues so you should be good to go. Enjoy your new xbox!

Yes, yes, 100 times, yes! The older games had the best campaigns in the series. If the only campaign you've played is 5, you've got one hell of a treat ahead of you.
Also, Halo 3: ODST is a $5 DLC. As far as I'm concerned, it's totally worth it.

Take it from the biggest fanboy and supporter of Halo, I completely agree with this review. There is NO point to having such a great game and then having it be completely let down by having no multiplayer. Why have all 100+ maps IF YOU CAN'T USE THEM? The multiplayer issues are the only thing holding it back. And as long as they are there then it doesn't deserve a perfect ten.

Quick question. I know that the multiplayer is fixed now. Let's say I want to play Halo 2's multiplayer. Is there an option to select that game's multiplayer matchmaking, or do people vote on which game is played?
There is different playlists. Say you wanted to play team slayer. That would Halo 1 2 and 3. But there are playlists that play only one specific game for instance there's a halo 2 anniversary playlists then there's halo ce playlists and so on. Hope this helped!

I really don't understand how anyone could post any sort of review for a game that's mainly broken. I think we should all reserve judgment for when 343, hopefully, fixes these issues. It's utterly ridiculous that it's gone on for so long now really. Day 1/2 is forgivable, it happens all the time when kids flood the servers on release, but 5 days now and it's getting silly.

Good or not, he ALWAYS gives a high score and just Mario jumps straight over any shortcomings the game has, it's not just Xbox games, it's CoD games for the past god knows how long and a shit ton of other games ruined by his lack of critical appraisal. Xbox is great, I really envy anyone who has an Xbox One and this game, by Ryan sucks purely as a reviewer and has no charisma or entertainment value as an interviewer. ***** It's broken for some, fixed for others. That said, all the campaign stuff has been pretty stable even at launch. Online is still dodgy, but single-player/splitscreen is good to go.
+Xavier I don't play online so can't talk from experience, but custom games are popular. Also, the MCC section of the official Halo forums is consistently busy, with many sharing custom gametypes and forge maps. So there's still a sizeable playerbase. After all, bugs or no bugs, the MCC kicks Halo 5's overhyped arse.
TRITON K175 Cool. Another question, will all the maps in Halo 3 ODST be in MCC and can you still play with 4 players? Because the maps were fun in that. Along with Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary?
