The second curse with burning inscription on elemental invocation does not gain energy for other meta gems anymore Forgot about jewels - still just using a few corrupted sapphires with mana on kill and increased magnitude of ignite - also still using the 3 grand spectrum emeralds Against any bosses that you lose too much mana against (map bosses and low difficulty pinnacles) just don't hold down enfeeble like I did at 9:05 make sure your regen is going then click it once
@@TinglePan wdym useless, its working fine, just a minor setback i'd say im using it and clearing +4 xesh easily, for mapping I barely have to hit elemental invocation because essence drain restores some mana plus the 2% mana on kill is enough, although some rares might drain your mana. When bossing I have to be careful not to drain all mana like he says in the video. I have stacked around 172% magnitude of ignite from jewels (not sure where the magnitude of ignite shows properly so I had to sum them all), it procs easily and hundreds of meteors drop on rares/bosses
@@TinglePan To add to it, I just did arbiter +4 before he started his hitkill mechanics consistently today with this build, killed him 4 times with no problem at all, I hit him for 20mi while he's casting the fire laser, then he goes to grab the sword and I kill him in a few seconds I spent barely 10div on this build, so to kill it almost as quickly as top tier 100div builds I'd say its pretty good overall
@ nah unique enemies just give you more energy. i found out if i dont hold down my enfeeble elemental invocation i dont drain my own mana. Just gotta click it once after i have my mana regen going and the boss dies without me losing my hitpool
I was working on a version of this after seeing the first video. The mana works well enough to use the auto loop where COI has a curse with burning invocation if you take all of the available cost reduction. I took the Deep Trance wheel even though it has attack speed for the 10% reduced cost of skills, and I anointed Mental Toughness which gives 15% reduced cost of skills while mana is not low. Doing that gave me enough mana sustain to only use a single elemental invocation with ember fusilade and the second impetus and energy retention support, and reduced my spirit costs enough to drop the scepter in favor of a wand with +3 spell skills, spell damage, crit chance and crit bonus and drop the focus for an oaksworn shield to become much tankier. I also ran a second offensive COI with eye of winter linked to ele focus, cold exposure, and strip away to apply crit vuln, and picked up the increased exposure effect and cold pen node near endless blizzard.
oh also, Searing Flame can be placed in your burning inscription links and it juices the hell out of the energy gain since it is based on ignite magnitude vs ailment threshold
point of the unique focus is the 10% increased flat spell damage per 10 spirit. That is seemingly the main reason he went hard for spirit in the first place in the first video of this build. In there he even had so much spirit, he was over 200 beyond what he actually needed. The question is how well you balance out the damage output against tankiness
wrong. 1 mosquito is the real threat here since they dont touch burning ground. jk but yeah unless the mana donut spawns on you somehow they just get decimated
@@Doth_i mean even if they do spawn on you, standing IN the donut doesn't drain mana. Its just the ring. So either stay tf away or roll into them if they get close. They're gonna get obliterated either way.
I managed to get a way worse version of this going on my chronomancer. It's been the most fun I've had since I started playing, thanks a lot for showing off the tech.
Why don't you convert your mana costs to life and use instant spell leech? Would require blood mage, lifetap support and atziris acuity or the "voracious" annoint.
im atm runing monk with energy gain and instead ot the focus im using the mace that double the energy gain i also plan using painter gloves so that my comet can shock chill and burn at te same time as monk for the elemental grounds and while i do lose your spirit to dmg conversion i plan taking the 30% dmg when ignite/shock/freze and curse area for plasphemy temporal chains to aply hindered and dmg with hits to hindered enemies also instead if chain i use scattershot for essence drain also while and elemental discharge on 2 separate cast on ignite comets at least tahts the plan just hit 41 so can use the comet finaly but god damm ED flies everywhere
Pretty sure, the damage is a lot better on witch compared to my gemling tbf. I can’t really scale the damage as well with out the crit nodes so it doesn’t feel well against Ubers. I could try the enfebble trick and it could feel better
would this work with Acolyte of Chayula? it makes your mana leech instant, with how many times you hit even a very small amount of leech should be able to keep your mana topped without any other investment
I took some parts of this for my stormweaver, and it works… kinda. Problem is I lack the mana boosting power of infernalist, so I only have around 1800 mana. So my burning ground is much weaker which also means my energy gain is much weaker. It’s working pretty good right now but I have to support the energy gain with solar orb and remove ignites with manual winter orb and elemental discharge. comets are mostly for uniques and boss battles, they barely trigger at all for white packs. Once the feedback loop triggers when I have enough enemies ignited, the mayhem is a beauty to behold. What irks me is that I’ve now spent so many hours trying to make COI work and it feels borderline impossible to build around, and now I find out it’s supposed to only work on hit? So burning ground, fire wall and solar orb ignites aren’t even supposed to build COI energy?! How is COI supposed to be of any use if they ever fix that?
@ oh I did that but found eye of winter with elemental discharge (I have one of these in my COI and one to trigger manually) works better than soul drain for me. Elemental discharge also works better if you add shocks to the mix.
couple questions: 1. would it not work with rare scepter with 200 spirit , mana and stats? 2. do those critical hit chance and damage passives work on spells too? i thought it was just for attcks (for the jugular, true strikes etc) 3. in maps where enemy has higher ailments threshold, should we use flmmability more than hypothermia? i've been just using hypothermia mostly.
1. I've tested it and it is noticeably harder, slower starting the engine, but maybe I didn't have proper alternative sceptre. It might be ok once you have enough dmg and magnitude of ignite to comfortably generate energy without it, it wasn't the case for me. 2. Yes, you can check it in any skill details, even in spells socketed into CoI 3. I don't know, would guess hyphotermia to help with Comet dmg, but flammability might help with energy generation with ignite (and Comet dmg with this uniquesceptre)
"The boss was too weak, so I died" I love it xD I am very curious if you could get this to work with Infernal Flame, so you're just constantly exploding instead of worrying about mana. You'd probably die, but it would be hilarious.
Amazing build! One question though - Doesn't the final effect on that sceptre mean rather than hypothermia/frostbite or flammability you want to further lower whatever that boss has the lowest natural res to of the three elemental curses, and the switch would only help more if their cold res was already lower than their fire res? Is the switch to frostbite for bosses just in case they're out of your presence for a bit during the fight?
how are you putting normal support gems on meta gems? When you try to put a support like increased attack speed on a meta gem it won't let you. There are only designated supports for meta gems(like using less energy and whatnot)
Great video. I can't seem to get enough energy for any of the cast on skills aside from cast on minion death. Cast on ignite for me only procs anything on unique mobs and I end up struggling with white mobs. Do you need a ton of ignite magnitude to make this work? I can't seem to figure this out.
@blazefury5637 not a ton but it helps alot. Also it scales off of your maximum mana and spell damage (and probably elemental and fire damage but I haven't tested). Also, the more aoe you have, you will have less overlap on a single enemy. I have 0 aoe on my build
@@Doth_ I thought I had it figured out using solar orb instead. I was testing it in Act 3 cruel and comets were going everywhere, but as soon as I opened a map I couldn't get anything to proc. It seems to only give me 1-3% per cast. With burning inscription, I can't even seem to get it to work in Act 3. It takes several curses to proc 1 comet. I have 3200 mana and -20 AOE. I don't even notice a difference with essence drain. I'm sure I'm doing something critically wrong, but can't figure out what that is. lol. I'll probably just end up switching back to cast on minion death.
@blazefury5637 yeah enemy ailment threshold matters too for energy buildup so the level of content matters. You have spell cascade on your curse with burning inscription right?
I've worked around the changes with the second elemental invocation, my current build is just me going full brain off watching anime while holding down 2 buttons and wandering through the map. 5/5 survivability, 5/5 damage, crazy cheap gear. I've also addressed a problem I noticed with your skill tree set up which was the lack of elemental penetration. When dealing with a lot of the pinnacle bosses the current set up loses A LOT of damage due to the 75% all resist most bosses have. This is fixed with a few nodes branching off as well as a support gem. I can make a quick maxroll or mobalytics if you wanna see what I've come up with

If you want to lower the rate of the drain ailment loop a bit, you could maybe try the following: Use contagion instead of essence drain, which has 1 sec cast time so it should proc ~25% slower, plus it frees you a slot (chain) which you could use to slot in another low level spell (like spark or 1 more ember fussilade) which will slow down the loop even further. Although now that I'm thinking about it you wouldn't have brought a second curse into the mix if you wanted to slow it down lol
I guess you already tried it but how about the Pyromantic Pact node that replaces your mana with infernal flame ? With a bit of investment in max fire res with runes and jewels, I would see you probably sustain it without too much effort with your current regen and have much more effective mana to use.
they should re-think all the "cast on" effects and just make them trigger on the effect and have 0.25 sec cd like in poe1, it's just more understandable in terms on function, in some cases will be a buff and others a nerf, and proably not affected by cooldown reduction, temporalis has done some things with other triggers...
i know people dont generally read comments but i love theorycrafting and wanted to see this in action so i tried to build it. couldnt get it to work. gem setup exactly like yours, tree setup exactly like yours, built it on an infernalist just to keep everything the same. the problem is that the feedback loop doesnt seem to happen at the same rate. where you get 50 essence drains a second, i was getting one every few seconds. so technically it was doing the thing, but the coi spirit gems were taking way way longer to fill. did you run into anything like this when you were building? any thoughts on what the issue might be? in case you get to this and it matters, toon is level 94, 3.8k mana, gear slightly different (not using the weapon you do), and not using the unique helm, but if my understanding is right it should be enough of a mana pool to get strong ignites on the ground, and the double BI isn't required. could be wrong though.
So Doth, why not use capacitor and increased energy gain/energy refund on elemental invocations for increased stacks and thus increased mana regen? Also not getting the Deadly force notable seems like a waste considering one critical hit would increase crit bonus damage by 70%.
@kaanuyar1551 it just builds the stacks faster and they already instantly go to full, but I could for when I fight normal mobs Also, that node increases damage and not crit damage.
@@Doth_ my fault about the notable, however for capacitor, since they fill up really fast it goes up to 27 and is instantly usable at 27 so you gain almost 80% of your mana from two invocations, thats how I maintain my mana completely with a similar build.
@kaanuyar1551 you can use them at any time even if they arnt full and they only cast 1 spell at a time unlike cast on ignite so it isn't recovering mana any faster. You are allowing them to recover your mana for a longer amount of time though if there are no enemies to keep building energy off of. Nothing wrong with what you're doing and it does have some benefit! Just saying it's not toooo important and letting anyone know who reads our comment thread know how this stuff works
I've been playing this on invoker to help with Energy Gain (and because I already have one leveled) and im doing okay, but my issues have been not being able to sustain map, so nothing new there lol. Its been a lot of fun! Im on a much lower budget, ~ 1 div, so its weaker but clearing T10-12 maps with out much issues. Still very squishy, but usually just delete everything before it can get to me
22:30 I am having an issue that even when i socket Hypothermia on my skill slots, i cannot add it to my hotbar so its useless. Anyone doing this build has the same issue?
thoughts on blood mage ascendancy? and any idea on which build could i try next? im trying to play hexblast, but it really is starting to get boring, and detonate dead is a big no bc i want to/need to use some brain while playing lol
also when playing gemling we dont need the helmet right? so should i use something different? or should i just not pick that node, since in ur other vid u said u lost alot of dmg because u needed more attributes cuz of it :)
Ironically, I think the way GGG should fix this is by reducing the amount of mobs. A lot of these map clearing strategies relies on having a lot of mobs grouped together and essentially overlapping damage AOEs. We could have bigger and tougher mobs and just reduce the number we face.
@Doth_ Is it still working OK for today? For some reason yesterday I realized that my EI gets max 7x stacks instead of usual 27. Is it something on my side happened or just the skill itself was changed in the latest patch?
I'm doing gemling with tempo cast on dodge flammability. Still at 79. Ive been using 4 coi. 2- comets 1- ed 1- spark. I want to replace the spark with something but don't know what to add. Any ideas?
Tell me, has the build been nerfed? For some reason I can't get the bonuses from the hat, it's red and it says "You cannot use this item, its parameters will not be taken into account" although my level is suitable and I have the required stats
@@Doth_ I have level 87, 57 strength, 86 agility and 191 intelligence, the hat requires level 65, 46 strength, agility and intelligence, I don't see any other requirements
I respeced into this character but I do know that people have been leveling with burning inscription. I didn't talk about it because I forgot but the damage on burning inscription is scaled by your spell damage (probably fire and elemental damage also) and you can also get jewels with increased magnitude of ignite
@@Doth_ Burning inscriptions scales its ignite with mana "created ignited ground doing fire damage equal to 20% mana". I found you get it really online around act 4 (act 1 cruel) with around 1800-2000 mana or more. So thats the barrier to entry it seems. Could be wrong but this is just from my leveling experience.
I dont understand how you make your mana not move, I have also 2 jewels for get mana on kill, keep enfeeble holded, and piano 2 more, and still die a loooooot of times, cant ahave a 3rd one for spirit limits, but u seem u r not using the last one... so I dont know what am I missing Edit: Kinda fixed with some mana on kill ring and a 20% mana recover from dmg
@96samcosmo I do have 60% extra fire damage on my scepter but it's mostly just cuz I have it 6linked already. Would probably use hypothermia so I don't mess up my 2 curse limit if I could go back
@@rcane6842 Invocated Efficiency passive node (top right). Elemental Invocation gains energy on ignites like crazy. Low lvl Ember Fussilade costs almost no mana to cast and has low cd (helping with energy gain), so you gain much more mana from the passive than you spend on the spell. You have to use it manually though once you get the engine going.

i dont understand how you're getting all this energy from, i tried it and my drain would never activate because i get like 2 energy per mob ignited with +160% energy gained and 60% cxhance to refund 50% energy spent
Hmmm everything is going well - except on bosses, they do die almost instantly but my mana drains pretty quick so there is a sec or so where i am at 0 mana. bit scary
As a gemling who tried specking into every mana cost reduction on the tree + gear + ascendancy you cant do anything to truly mana sustain against a boss. Just impossible Thee things help mana sustain in maps immensely. First a level 2 (-1 corruption) enfeeble. Two - the unique mana flask refills mana completely on use Three - running autohotkeys script to permanently press and instantly trigger elemental invocation.
@Doth_ have you tried infernal flame, to cause extra ignites? As it's igniting from any damage source, even your comets can ignite but I guess the whole build should be refactored as it is built around mana.
its buggy with all the spirit reservation skills. They seem to need to be turned on every map but you just use the skill and it turns them on. I dont even notice
@kainbeats idk. There's a line that says skills in meta gems can't generate energy. Technicalllllyyy burning inscription is a support but it's concerning 😂
@lynog_LFC my build is like 60div if you don't count the adorned jewel, which really isn't that important. I think you can get it to function a lot earlier than that though. In my first video I don't use the helmet, and you can use the everlasting gaze amulet amulet with the Eternal Youth keystone for defense while you work on your dps

Then I just levelled an alt up a infernal witch and I've been using this Chinese guys build similar to this but a meteor one. Problem is he's really hard to understand in his videos and I haven't got a fucking clue what I'm doing xD. So need to probably transition to this. It looks alot better anyway tbh. I'll try and get it going later and report back 🫡
Just started up the game after the new patch and the build is sadly dead, i had some fun, and i cant fine the part in the patchc Notes where they mention anything about this builds mechs but it dead for me 😑

For defence another Cast On Ignite with : Orb Of Storm + Electrocute + Neural Overload (+ overabondance) and ennemies are almost Instantly electrocuted i don't know if Orb Of Storm is the best choice but it worked pretty well with another build i use
So much work and creativity, so much interesting mechanic interactions, so much power, yet still HOI (one freaking skill with 30 spirit reservation) is more powerfull in breaches. Something is wrong with this game
Yup, I've respecced into this from my Spark MoM Stormweaver. What pained me the most was that I have to use the sceptre isntead of my +x%mana socketed Mahu, but without archmage it is fine to have less max mana. Even with the sceptre getting the spirit is tough - I'm currently testing if I want better chest or a worse one but with +60 spirit. With no-spirit chest I'm not using Drain Ailments and am unsure what impact it has, since the engine has no trouble starting and going crazy.
It honestly should get nerfed because it just makes gameplay boring and not worth playing the game if you cast one skill that kills everything. That's why I don't do builds like this of course the devs are going to nerf builds like this, that's common sense honestly. I'm lost on how you have the same skill multiple times, I don't get that part.
you just described almost every meta builds spark, storm wave, tempest fury, storm arrow and etc all this builds about pressing single skill and mob dies. but here he have interesting chain reaction and solving dmg scaling without archmage
The final gameplay (one-click kill everything) is just a destination, but the most interesting part is a path toward it. It's not easy to come up with such builds.
the build itself is a clever use of mechanics but it makes the game look stupid to 'play' when everything is constantly exploding with zero effort. you walk around and everything instantly dies. its not even a game anymore; compare the destructive power of builds like this with manually casting comet...it doesnt feel like the same game at all. its goofy that you can use more than one cast on ignite or ele invocation, didnt even know you could slot more than one. the game allows for too much recursive activation of overlapping triggers/effects; "comets per second" feels dumb.
and once again, the price of the build is NOWHERE to be found. Why does every build video forget to do the most important thing? Can you please clarify how much currency you need in order to get this thing off the ground please?
You really can't unfortunately. Any price you give will be invalid in a day or 2. and if your build pops off (like this one deserves) sometimes the price can x200. And then people call you a lier. So it's safer just not to.
I been doing his build since lvl 26. Lvl 60 now. With my own tares no uniques. So just play the build and stop stressing so much on the cost. Dont need to buy anything. Just the shield thats worth nothing.

They were probably keeping their mana up with the melting maelstrom mana flask, it fully fills your mana bar when you use it

Btw have you tested Contagion? Whether it propagates Essence drain linked Drain Ailments? Maybe it will propagate it by itself.

The "Radiant Grief" helm will auto-ignite everything on screen. Is there a reason not to use this helm to greatly simplify the build?
If Radiant Grief Ignite the enemies, it doesn't consider as "You" igniting the enemies and cast on ignite will never scale.

So burning ground, fire wall and solar orb ignites aren’t even supposed to build COI energy?! How is COI supposed to be of any use if they ever fix that?
You could try putting essence drain and drain ailment on elemental invocation so you can reignite single white mobs for enough energy gain
@ oh I did that but found eye of winter with elemental discharge (I have one of these in my COI and one to trigger manually) works better than soul drain for me. Elemental discharge also works better if you add shocks to the mix.
couple questions:
1. would it not work with rare scepter with 200 spirit , mana and stats?
2. do those critical hit chance and damage passives work on spells too? i thought it was just for attcks (for the jugular, true strikes etc)
3. in maps where enemy has higher ailments threshold, should we use flmmability more than hypothermia? i've been just using hypothermia mostly.
1. I've tested it and it is noticeably harder, slower starting the engine, but maybe I didn't have proper alternative sceptre. It might be ok once you have enough dmg and magnitude of ignite to comfortably generate energy without it, it wasn't the case for me.
2. Yes, you can check it in any skill details, even in spells socketed into CoI
3. I don't know, would guess hyphotermia to help with Comet dmg, but flammability might help with energy generation with ignite (and Comet dmg with this uniquesceptre)

Nope, burning inscription requires max mana and infernal flame turns max mana to 0 so you won't ignite anything
Amazing build! One question though - Doesn't the final effect on that sceptre mean rather than hypothermia/frostbite or flammability you want to further lower whatever that boss has the lowest natural res to of the three elemental curses, and the switch would only help more if their cold res was already lower than their fire res? Is the switch to frostbite for bosses just in case they're out of your presence for a bit during the fight?

how are you putting normal support gems on meta gems? When you try to put a support like increased attack speed on a meta gem it won't let you. There are only designated supports for meta gems(like using less energy and whatnot)
Put a normal skill gem on the meta gem it first, then you can slot support gem for that skill

Great video. I can't seem to get enough energy for any of the cast on skills aside from cast on minion death. Cast on ignite for me only procs anything on unique mobs and I end up struggling with white mobs. Do you need a ton of ignite magnitude to make this work? I can't seem to figure this out.
@blazefury5637 not a ton but it helps alot. Also it scales off of your maximum mana and spell damage (and probably elemental and fire damage but I haven't tested). Also, the more aoe you have, you will have less overlap on a single enemy. I have 0 aoe on my build
@@Doth_ I thought I had it figured out using solar orb instead. I was testing it in Act 3 cruel and comets were going everywhere, but as soon as I opened a map I couldn't get anything to proc. It seems to only give me 1-3% per cast. With burning inscription, I can't even seem to get it to work in Act 3. It takes several curses to proc 1 comet. I have 3200 mana and -20 AOE. I don't even notice a difference with essence drain. I'm sure I'm doing something critically wrong, but can't figure out what that is. lol. I'll probably just end up switching back to cast on minion death.
@blazefury5637 yeah enemy ailment threshold matters too for energy buildup so the level of content matters. You have spell cascade on your curse with burning inscription right?
Im in this same boat, followed your passive tree and couldn't get comets to go at all. Maybe it was a gear diff with more spell dmg or something

I've worked around the changes with the second elemental invocation, my current build is just me going full brain off watching anime while holding down 2 buttons and wandering through the map. 5/5 survivability, 5/5 damage, crazy cheap gear.
I've also addressed a problem I noticed with your skill tree set up which was the lack of elemental penetration. When dealing with a lot of the pinnacle bosses the current set up loses A LOT of damage due to the 75% all resist most bosses have. This is fixed with a few nodes branching off as well as a support gem.

If you want to lower the rate of the drain ailment loop a bit, you could maybe try the following:
Use contagion instead of essence drain, which has 1 sec cast time so it should proc ~25% slower,
plus it frees you a slot (chain) which you could use to slot in another low level spell (like spark or 1 more ember fussilade) which will slow down the loop even further.
Although now that I'm thinking about it you wouldn't have brought a second curse into the mix if you wanted to slow it down lol
the second curse on cast on ignite is just too strong but having a second curse is so good for the builds clear
I guess you already tried it but how about the Pyromantic Pact node that replaces your mana with infernal flame ? With a bit of investment in max fire res with runes and jewels, I would see you probably sustain it without too much effort with your current regen and have much more effective mana to use.
Tried this cook yesterday and unless I was bugged, the ignited ground simply didn't ignite enemies because no mana

they should re-think all the "cast on" effects and just make them trigger on the effect and have 0.25 sec cd like in poe1, it's just more understandable in terms on function, in some cases will be a buff and others a nerf, and proably not affected by cooldown reduction, temporalis has done some things with other triggers...
i know people dont generally read comments but i love theorycrafting and wanted to see this in action so i tried to build it. couldnt get it to work. gem setup exactly like yours, tree setup exactly like yours, built it on an infernalist just to keep everything the same. the problem is that the feedback loop doesnt seem to happen at the same rate. where you get 50 essence drains a second, i was getting one every few seconds. so technically it was doing the thing, but the coi spirit gems were taking way way longer to fill.
did you run into anything like this when you were building? any thoughts on what the issue might be?
in case you get to this and it matters, toon is level 94, 3.8k mana, gear slightly different (not using the weapon you do), and not using the unique helm, but if my understanding is right it should be enough of a mana pool to get strong ignites on the ground, and the double BI isn't required. could be wrong though.
So Doth, why not use capacitor and increased energy gain/energy refund on elemental invocations for increased stacks and thus increased mana regen? Also not getting the Deadly force notable seems like a waste considering one critical hit would increase crit bonus damage by 70%.
@kaanuyar1551 it just builds the stacks faster and they already instantly go to full, but I could for when I fight normal mobs
Also, that node increases damage and not crit damage.
@@Doth_ my fault about the notable, however for capacitor, since they fill up really fast it goes up to 27 and is instantly usable at 27 so you gain almost 80% of your mana from two invocations, thats how I maintain my mana completely with a similar build.
@kaanuyar1551 you can use them at any time even if they arnt full and they only cast 1 spell at a time unlike cast on ignite so it isn't recovering mana any faster. You are allowing them to recover your mana for a longer amount of time though if there are no enemies to keep building energy off of.

I've been playing this on invoker to help with Energy Gain (and because I already have one leveled) and im doing okay, but my issues have been not being able to sustain map, so nothing new there lol. Its been a lot of fun! Im on a much lower budget, ~ 1 div, so its weaker but clearing T10-12 maps with out much issues. Still very squishy, but usually just delete everything before it can get to me
Save your best(highest tier) maps for irradiated/corrupted boss maps. Run your lower tier maps to path around and set up areas with towers.

You remember where have you seen the gemling version?
Ironically, I think the way GGG should fix this is by reducing the amount of mobs. A lot of these map clearing strategies relies on having a lot of mobs grouped together and essentially overlapping damage AOEs. We could have bigger and tougher mobs and just reduce the number we face.

Wow, I just realized that if you link Elemental Discharge to the Ember Fissulade, it will reduce maximum EI stacks to 7.

I'm doing gemling with tempo cast on dodge flammability. Still at 79. Ive been using 4 coi. 2- comets 1- ed 1- spark. I want to replace the spark with something but don't know what to add. Any ideas?

@@Doth_ I have level 87, 57 strength, 86 agility and 191 intelligence, the hat requires level 65, 46 strength, agility and intelligence, I don't see any other requirements

I respeced into this character but I do know that people have been leveling with burning inscription. I didn't talk about it because I forgot but the damage on burning inscription is scaled by your spell damage (probably fire and elemental damage also) and you can also get jewels with increased magnitude of ignite
@@Doth_ Burning inscriptions scales its ignite with mana "created ignited ground doing fire damage equal to 20% mana". I found you get it really online around act 4 (act 1 cruel) with around 1800-2000 mana or more. So thats the barrier to entry it seems. Could be wrong but this is just from my leveling experience.
I dont understand how you make your mana not move, I have also 2 jewels for get mana on kill, keep enfeeble holded, and piano 2 more, and still die a loooooot of times, cant ahave a 3rd one for spirit limits, but u seem u r not using the last one... so I dont know what am I missing

Why are you using Flamability as the main cast instead of Hypothermia? Are you doing good fire damage?
@96samcosmo I do have 60% extra fire damage on my scepter but it's mostly just cuz I have it 6linked already. Would probably use hypothermia so I don't mess up my 2 curse limit if I could go back
after the patch this build doesnt quite feel as good so sad finally got a build that felt fun i hope you find a way to tweek it god willing

@@rcane6842 Invocated Efficiency passive node (top right). Elemental Invocation gains energy on ignites like crazy. Low lvl Ember Fussilade costs almost no mana to cast and has low cd (helping with energy gain), so you gain much more mana from the passive than you spend on the spell. You have to use it manually though once you get the engine going.

Hmmm everything is going well - except on bosses, they do die almost instantly but my mana drains pretty quick so there is a sec or so where i am at 0 mana. bit scary

As a gemling who tried specking into every mana cost reduction on the tree + gear + ascendancy you cant do anything to truly mana sustain against a boss. Just impossible
Thee things help mana sustain in maps immensely.
First a level 2 (-1 corruption) enfeeble.
Two - the unique mana flask refills mana completely on use
Three - running autohotkeys script to permanently press and instantly trigger elemental invocation.
Is it still worth using Comet? Id try some instant skills for mapping

Same, the only trigger I've had success with is cast on minion death. The rest I have to clear half a map before they proc.

@Doth_ have you tried infernal flame, to cause extra ignites? As it's igniting from any damage source, even your comets can ignite but I guess the whole build should be refactored as it is built around mana.

its buggy with all the spirit reservation skills. They seem to need to be turned on every map but you just use the skill and it turns them on. I dont even notice

@lynog_LFC my build is like 60div if you don't count the adorned jewel, which really isn't that important. I think you can get it to function a lot earlier than that though. In my first video I don't use the helmet, and you can use the everlasting gaze amulet amulet with the Eternal Youth keystone for defense while you work on your dps
@@Doth_ I got some currency to spare tbh mate. I'll give it a go. I rolled a mercenary witch hunter that was just downright awful . Then I just levelled an alt up a infernal witch and I've been using this Chinese guys build similar to this but a meteor one. Problem is he's really hard to understand in his videos and I haven't got a fucking clue what I'm doing xD. So need to probably transition to this. It looks alot better anyway tbh. I'll try and get it going later and report back 🫡

For defence another Cast On Ignite with : Orb Of Storm + Electrocute + Neural Overload (+ overabondance) and ennemies are almost Instantly electrocuted
i don't know if Orb Of Storm is the best choice but it worked pretty well with another build i use

Yup, I've respecced into this from my Spark MoM Stormweaver. What pained me the most was that I have to use the sceptre isntead of my +x%mana socketed Mahu, but without archmage it is fine to have less max mana. Even with the sceptre getting the spirit is tough - I'm currently testing if I want better chest or a worse one but with +60 spirit. With no-spirit chest I'm not using Drain Ailments and am unsure what impact it has, since the engine has no trouble starting and going crazy.

It honestly should get nerfed because it just makes gameplay boring and not worth playing the game if you cast one skill that kills everything. That's why I don't do builds like this of course the devs are going to nerf builds like this, that's common sense honestly. you just described almost every meta builds spark, storm wave, tempest fury, storm arrow and etc all this builds about pressing single skill and mob dies. but here he have interesting chain reaction and solving dmg scaling without archmage

The final gameplay (one-click kill everything) is just a destination, but the most interesting part is a path toward it. It's not easy to come up with such builds.
the build itself is a clever use of mechanics but it makes the game look stupid to 'play' when everything is constantly exploding with zero effort. you walk around and everything instantly dies.
its not even a game anymore; compare the destructive power of builds like this with manually casting comet...it doesnt feel like the same game at all.
its goofy that you can use more than one cast on ignite or ele invocation, didnt even know you could slot more than one.
the game allows for too much recursive activation of overlapping triggers/effects; "comets per second" feels dumb.

You really can't unfortunately. Any price you give will be invalid in a day or 2. and if your build pops off (like this one deserves) sometimes the price can x200. And then people call you a lier. So it's safer just not to.
I been doing his build since lvl 26. Lvl 60 now. With my own tares no uniques. So just play the build and stop stressing so much on the cost. Dont need to buy anything. Just the shield thats worth nothing.
