John Driskell Hopkins ("Hop") of Zac Brown Band has recently been diagnosed with ALS disease. Currently, a severe deficit exists in funding which is needed to identify and understand the cellular mechanisms and risk factors of ALS. Hop On A Cure aims to lower this deficit by funding research that will make ALS a thing of the past.Hop On A Cure is committed to supporting research to prevent, reverse, and cure ALS while raising awareness, building a compassionate community, and unleashing the healing power of hope.
ALS is a neurological disease that affects the nerve cells that control voluntary muscle movement (the muscles we have conscious control over). The disease is progressive, meaning the symptoms get worse over time. Individuals affected lose their strength and the ability to control those voluntary muscle movements which include speaking, eating, mobility, and even breathing. Although the disease can strike at any age, symptoms most commonly develop between the ages of 55 and 75. For unknown reasons, men are more likely than women to develop ALS. The life expectancy of those affected is usually 3 to 5 years from when the symptoms first appear. However, about 10 percent of people with ALS survive for 10 or more years.
There is no cure for ALS and no effective treatment to halt or reverse the progression of the disease. Currently, a severe deficit exists in this funding which is needed to identify and understand the cellular mechanisms and risk factors of ALS. By understanding the mechanisms that occur on a cellular level with ALS, scientists can identify exactly what is causing the motor neurons to degenerate which dictates the approach used in developing effective treatments. In order to achieve these goals, and put an end to ALS, there is a great need for funding and continued research. Hop On A Cure aims to lower this deficit by funding research that will make ALS a thing of the past.

A couple of good friends coincidentally gave me the same CD. I agree, the music is good. Talk about the weather, I hate a knit hat if it isn't less than 60F. but his music is more than the hat. A little hat, it's country. Seriously good playing.

HELP!!!! At almost 60 years old I have seen many shows, some good some bad. My daughters saw ZB a few years back and suddenly the whole family was hooked. As a NY family we attended Bethal Woods and Shea Stadium, prior to Covid we had purchased six tickets for the Bethel Woods concert of 2020...Obviously, it was canceled..As a Zamily member we have gotten nowhere...Please help I am now battling cancer....I would rather attend the concert than get my money back....Again some please help....Dennis Adorno

After phone calls and emails my wife and I had gotten a ticket exchange, the exchange did favor the venue to the tune of we had orginialy brought six seat but with Covid 19 issues we had gotten 4 seats...Also the staff at Bethal Woods was fantastic, I was not feeling well and they made parking a breeze along with transportation from the lot to the main level super easy. Also I am adjusting to my meds and thanks for the prays,..
He'll be playing at HLSR (Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo) on Sunday, March 5, 2023 if ya wanna fly down here and see him!

UPDATE:::: My wife and both daughters made it up to Bethel Woods for the concert. It was a good show and a great time. The staff at BW was fantastic. We called in advance and were able to get handicap parking and a ride in a niffy golf cart down to the arena area. Unfortunately I pooped out prior to the show's end but all in all it was just what the doctor ordered. Thanks for checking in.

@@newtempphone-ash9507 HA! I saw the picture and assumed concert/ not cancer.....The short answer is we haven't done a recent scan so I really don't know...BUT! I honestly believe it is on the run because there is less abdominal pain. The hope is to do as much Ketruda and Cabometryx and my body can handle and then scan. It is kind of like that saying that goes something like this; Throw as much sh!t the wall and see what sticks..And the longer story is I just get so tired and feel so weak....And believe me, that was NEVER me. My family and I did make it to the concert. The staff at Bethel Woods was great!!! MY wife called ahead to explain our situation and without a Handicap placard, they let us park close to a pick-up area where we were brought to the main level by an extra-large golf cart...I was not able to make it to the end of the show (my favorite part) but we did see most of it before I started to turn 50 shades of green. HEY!!! Thanks for checking in, things like this make the day go by faster.
