Need to know: the footage of the cars crashing - and the super cars overtaking on the right side of the road - are not (!) footages recorded on the german Autobahn!
I was stationed in West Germany in the latter 1950's. At that time, German citizens had to take classes to drive.... in VW beetles (some were dual control). Autobahn speed limit was foot to the floor (about 72 MPH). A sergeant had his brand new Buick shipped to Germany. {A friend of mine} Early one morning we went for a joy ride in his Buick. At the top of a hill, he floored it. Near the bottom of the hill, I thought we were flying (well over 100 MPH). Just then, a car flew by us like we were crawling. It was a Porsche RSK. Never forgot that. In those days, very fast cars were very expensive, therefore very rarely a concern. I don't care to return there today. Comparing traffic deaths in Germany and the US, just points out how Americans are so easily get distracted, whatever the reason.
I don't need a speed limit. I know how fast I can drive. Usually around 160, slower when there's a lot of traffic, and sometimes faster when there's little traffic. Most other people drive in that range too. Adapt to the flow of traffic, don't race. And if the flow of traffic is faster than 130, why not? Anything else would be oppression and only serves to rip people off with speed cameras.
Also weve got the so called Richtgeschwindigkeit, which is like a recommendation on your speed, which would be max 130kmh. If you drive faster than that and cause an accident, the insurrance wont pay the costs or only parts of it. The Hitler- Autobahn- story is also too Americanized... Weve got many rules and speed cameras on the roads Btw: how many people would you actually know, that can afford a car that is faster than 160kmh savely? The original Autobahn was already the fastest connecion some thousand years ago, used by local celtic - and germanic tribes The information about speed limits is just wrong. Of course, we do have speed limits. So many prejudices and false information 😢 First Autobahn 1932 Cologne- Bonn End of Weimarer Republik: 1933, when the Nazis came to power. You should come over and find out yourself, i reckon ❤
@thebestman92-rq5xc happy new year 🥳 what im also trying to say is: People mostly drive carefully over here. Even though there are parts of the Autobahn without a speed limit, people are reliably careful as they are aware of their health and -insurrance 🤣
The way these super expensive sports cars drive there is forbidden. They overtake on the right, that would be expensive, if the highway police had been there. Formula 1 cars are also not allowed to drive on the motorway etc. The vidio is pretty weird. Hitler also did not build the first motorway but it was built in the Waimar Republic, i.e. before the Nazis. In addition, I would advise against coming to Germany as a foreigner to set your personal speed record here. Such people who come here to turn the highway into a race track are not exactly popular. In addition, if you cause serious accidents by disregarding the traffic rules, you can get heavy prison sentences, even be charged with murder. The whole vidio is nonsense !!! Don't believe that. If you ever come to Germany and drive like on the Vidio, don't be surprised that you are then without a driver's license or maybe in front of a judge. Driving on the German motorway is quite safe. On American highways, there are significantly more accidents in percentage terms and more accident fatalities. In Germany, there are strict rules on how to drive on the motorway, even without a speed limit. This also includes strict inspections of the cars and their technology every 2 years.

You must be aware that most of the car driving and car accident clips in this video are actually not from Germany.

wir haben weniger Verkehrstote als manch andere Länder mit Limit.

Dear Friend
the autobahn is safe and only 65% of the autobahn has no speed limit 😁😁 the video is very superfiscial and partly false
Mb you could recommend some better video on this topic? 🙂
In the future there will be speed limits on all roads here, thanks to the green government
that's not true...about 60 percent are without limit
Nonsens 😂
