I was born & raised in Kingsville Texas, hometown of Chacha. He was about 4 years older than me. I had the pleasure & honor of running into him around town all the time. We all followed his career from the beginning here in Kville. Knew his family brothers Arturo & went school with Arnold. I miss those days. Rest in peace, hermano.❤

sorry for your dad loss abe i never met chacha but had great respect for him as a singer and performer i,m also d e premont just an old man reminescing
I'm a white boy from Corpus Christi. And I grew up on old school tejano. Chacha was/is a legend. His voice has no equal. Such a kind man. Met him at a dance in Robstown in 2005. Best voice. Always had the best musicians. The old school cto Bernal sound. Love it.
Wow I think this video is so awesome this is a real deal the true tejano music I love this music it brings me back a lot of good memories when I was a little kid
Great video always want to see videos of them , back in the days Los Chachos , fueron una chingonada , en la musica Tejana de alla del meritito Valley , ahi veo a Jesse Serrata , Bobby Naranjo muy Buenos musicos
Chacha promised that he was going to come and sing for me at the cemetery when I died. He had moved to the Valley, came to my Dad-in-Law and bro-in-law’s funeral, which I saw him back in 2012. He of course passed away shortly thereafter. RIP. Chacha
Nothing but the best in conjunto are Los Chachos never will be another group like them very well recorded and the voices are great , will be missed & may he rest in peace & long live the music of Los Chachos
I loved Los Chachos, they were the baddest chicano Tejano band of the era in harmononies and slip sliding dance music. I met ChaCha in 2011 in Pharr, TX shortly before he passed. I was star struck to meet one of my idols from the 70's. Many do not know that ChaCha was a combat veteran in Vietnam. He obtained the rank of Sargent and was awarded nearly 13 medals and service ribbons combined for his valor. He was a great guy. I wished I would've gotten to know him longer. Rest in Peace Chingon!

Chacha was my good buddy, may he rest in peace. We did many gigs together in the valley. We both, Machismo & Los Chachos were with Manny Guerra"s GCP label. Their only album with Manny was bad ass, especially the song "irresistible".

La Onda De Los Chachos Se Deriva Del Legendario Conjunto Bernal Donde Surguieron Agrupaciones Como Los Chachos Oscar Hernandez y Tuff Band Manuel Solis y Los Solistas Agrupaciones Que Utilizaron El Acordeon Cromatico Hasta Su Album New Imagen 1983 Que Introdujeron Los Teclados

the blending of those two voices is untouchable! On another plane at a raised bar that has yet to be reached! What a tragic loss.
Can't Go Wrong with this Kind of Music and Ritmo. Songs Sang from the Heart.

Like two pieces of puzzle, they fit perfectly, voices just blend effortlessly.
