    Oreo Scroll Recipe
Makes 10-13 scrolls (depending how big you cut them)
    Ingredients:
    Dough-
    1/2 cup milk, room temperature
1/2 cup thickened cream, room temperature
    2 tbsp sugar
    1 tbsp activated yeast
    1 tsp salt
    57g softened unsalted butter
    1 egg
3-4 cups all purpose flour + extra for dusting work surface
    Filling-
    2 packets of Oreos (256g)
    1/2 cup unsalted melted butter
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    25g cocoa powder
    Frosting-
    113g cream cheese
    3 cups powdered sugar
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    4 tbsp milk
    1 packet Oreos (128g)
    Method:
    1. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and lightly oil with cooking spray. Set aside
    2. Lightly oil a large bowl. Set aside
    3. Add thickened cream, milk, sugar, yeast, salt, egg, butter & 1 cup of flour to a large mixing bowl
    4. Mix using an electric mixer fitted with a whisk attachment. Mix until just incorporated
    5. Change mixing attachment to a dough hook
    6. Add 2 cups of flour
    7. Mix on low until incorporated
    8. Check to see if the dough sticks to your finger. If so then add a little more flour & mix on low to incorporate. You don’t want to add too much flour so the dough is dry. The dough should be able to come off the dough hook cleanly
    9. Transfer dough to a lightly floured work surface
    10. Use your hands to knead the dough for 5 minutes. Stretching the dough as you go. You can incorporate a little flour from the work surface into the dough if the dough ends up too sticky. Be careful to not add too much
    11. Shape the dough into a ball & cut a cross into the top of the dough
    12. Transfer the dough to the oiled bowl
    13. Loosely cover the bowl with plastic wrap
    14. Leave the bowl in a warm room for 45 minutes
    15. For the filling scrape out the Oreo cream from 10 cookies and place in a small bowl. Set aside
    16. Use a food processor to crush 2 packets of Oreo cookies into crumbs (including the Oreos you just removed the cream from)
    17. Transfer Oreos to a medium bowl
    18. Set aside 3 tbsp of the Oreo crumbs for later
    18. Add melted butter, brown sugar and cocoa powder to the medium bowl of Oreo crumbs
    19. Stir together to form a thick paste
    20. When the dough is done rising transfer it to a lightly floured work surface
    21. Use a rolling pin to roll the dough out to a large rectangle. Roll the dough out until thin
    22. Spread the Oreo paste over the dough using your hands or spatula
    23. Spread the 3 tbsp of Oreo crumbs around to cover any areas missing the Oreo paste
    24. Roll the dough tightly beginning from the long side of the rectangle
    25. Use a knife or floss to cut the dough into 10-13 pieces depending on how tall you want the scrolls
    26. Place the scrolls onto the lined baking tray
    27. Cover the tray with a clean tea towel
    28. Leave the tray in a warm room for an hour to double in size
    29. Bake the scrolls for 20-25 minutes at 160c in a fan forced oven
    30. For the frosting melt the Oreo cream in the microwave for 20 seconds
    31. Use a spoon to mix the cream for a few seconds
    32. Transfer the cream to a medium mixing bowl
    33. Add cream cheese, icing sugar and vanilla extract
    34. Use an electric mixer to combine
    35. Add milk
    36. Beat with electric mixer until combined
    37. After the scrolls have cooled down for 5 minutes cover them with the frosting. If you don’t want your scrolls so sweet then maybe just drizzle some frosting on
    38. Use a rolling pin to crush some Oreos & sprinkle them on top of the scrolls
    &enjoy!!
store these in the fridge because it’s cream cheese frosting
