@@thebug4046I had theses symptoms - sound of metal hitting metal or a high pitch note as if the piston was hitting the top of the cylinder. Piston slap it was. Old piston looked fine it wasn't until I compared the fit of old and new, I really understood. BR420 now running silky smooth Great video, and as a 5th scale RC guy you have a new subscriber from across the Atlantic. Happy new year from the UK.
@@Disco45 hey man that's exactly it! I get them in for repair every so often. And I was gunna get a ⅕ but can't find one for a good price that isn't destroyed lol and UK subs? I have a handful not sure how many but I get a few that pop in now and then! And happy new year to you and your family! 🍻💯
Great film. Works well. On e question - my cylinder/piston replace kit came with two seals. Haven’t taken any out and not quite sure where they go. Didn’t see anything on film unless I missed it. Anyway an6 help would be appreciated
Great job on the piston replacement ,I just finished a complete tear down on a BR600 blower for the first time, would like your thoughts on what cover sealant to use ? and the piston ring placement on that 4 mix engine. This is open to anyone reading this. thanks RZ
Thanks abd I usually use 3 bond 1184 and make sure everything is very clean! And let it set up over night before you start it! Take your time with applying the sealant! Very important!
Dude. Replace that stupid catalytic converter muffler with a stock muffler. It helped on mine and made a big difference. Also prevented it from getting too hot after I shut it off. Just a quick tip.
@@thebug4046 Well, looking at your vid, it turns out yours has a holes on a piece of metal welded on there. That tells me it’s got a catalytic converter on it.
The tip to half fit piston in cylinder first, was priceless. Saved me hours of 🤯 head exploding frustration. Top man.
Hahaha you're welcome 👌🏻🤘🏻🍻

In the kitchen, you must have the most understanding wife ever.
She died many years ago

If they are 2 small round seals those are crankshaft seals. If the bottom end isn't leaking air don't worry about it

This one actually doesn't have a catalytic in it being the older model for the Canadian market. The latter ones did
