You’re right, I didn’t mean to knock them exactly, but I don’t think they’re Scriabin’s best work. They’re still good, but for new listeners I think it might be more captivating to hear one of Scriabin’s iconic poems or preludes.

@@Alix777. fiorentino's recording is absolute garbage. Completely static, muddles the melodic voices completely into harmony, it's an absolute mistake. I'd rather listen to any other pianist.

I somehow have an easier time listening to his sonata 8,10,9 more than his 6, 7. This is the order I want to recommend.
Just wondering why you recommend that new listeners avoid his Mazurkas, Nocturnes, and Impromptus. They don't seem sub-standard to me.

Op.42 n°5 : Fiorentino is the best, leaves everyone in the dust. Horowitz is just struggling it's almost embarrassing, highly overrated.
