Secret My Lips holds a special place in my heart and to my ears. After months of cute girls in maid outfits showing up in my YT feed, girls I dismissed as some obvious bullshit fake music, I finally clicked on a video (the algorithm was persistent) and it was Secret My Lips. Mind blown. It still remains one of my favorites. It has it all. Band-Maid doing Band-Maid things. And that it was the first that sent me on this musical odyssey will always make it special to me.
Okay, I am impressed. You are one of the few reactors that picked up on the Akane's disco beats at the end. Not many pick that up. Very good. When I first heard this song from them, I think it was the fourth or fifth, I realized they were serious. I fell in love. It's a masterpiece pop/hard rock/metal song. It has everything, even a bar of Jazz chords. It's amazing.
This is the studio recording over live footage taken from the Album Release party/concert for their album "Just Bring it" at Akasaka Blitz in January 2017. The entire show was recorded, however only 30 minutes of it was officially released, plus this MV. You could get the 30 minutes they did release with the special edition of the Daydreaming/Choose Me release. On occasion you can find the DVD, and there are a few places online that have the concert, but only the 30 minutes that have already been released. They also recorded their entire show at Studio Coast Shinkiba, but only an hour of that show has ever been released officially. Many, many, many of us would pay good money, a LOT of money, if they would release ALL of that footage.
you have got to check out this Band Maid cover band called Band Maiko. They did a version of this song called Secret Maiko Lips....I would give a slight edge to Band Maiko version because of the slightly better visuals....but you have to do Secret Maiko Lips next for the full effect!!! great reaction

But because Saiki presence, voice and movements were so compelling, drawing in my attention until I had to see what she was doing, I came back to her performance again and again. Band-Maid has powerful synergy as a band. But Saiki knows she's the one who must - and can - focus the experience to a laser-hot pinpoint. And after her verse or chorus delivery, she releases you to allow the others the spotlight -- a selfless characteristic and mark of the perfect frontwoman for an ensemble of strong, equal talent. The Band gels because of their unique individuality, love and respect for each other. Band-Maid is a joy to behold! Thx, Ords!

They have a song that is strangely similar to this called SECRET MAIKO LIPS except it is written in the Kyoto dialect and played on traditional Japanese instruments. Weird, right? Also seems odd it was released on April 1st 2019.
