Would you consider doing a longer reaction to the members’ documentaries? Ohrenje has made high quality, brilliantly produced documentaries for each Maid. It will give you that entire backstory and you will forever hear their music just a little bit differently. Your mission, if you choose to accept it 😎 is in a specific order: Saiki, Kanami, Akane, MISA, then the 3 Mikus. For pronunciation in Japanese, it’s super helpful to know that all Japanese vowels are pronounced the same at all times. (a) is ah (e) is eh (i) is ee (o) is oh (u) is oo Continue down this pigeonhole! We’re with you all the way
I have seen them live twice and those two shows are those are the most memorable and enjoyed shows I have seen... and I have seen tons of shows. This is song is just so fun and yes they are having fun as well. Thanks for the reaction and I look forward to the next one!
All 5 of these ladies are top tier musicians, and when they come together they are magic, i dont believe there is another touring rock band out there (male or female) that they cant go toe to toe with
Sadly the only extended drum solo in the catalog. Kanami trolling Miku because she forgot her lyrics last time :p . Up on the drum platform making faces at Akane trying to pull her off ... but she is the best face maker in the band and she shows them ;) . Freedom is iconic among fans. Akanes solo never repeats and stays on beat the entire time.
There is the one before Black Hole from the Yokohama show. Much more classic "drum solo" style since it's a separate feature between songs. And there's a fancam of a solo similar to the one here, but a bit different.
This song is from "BAND-MAID WORLD DOMINATION TOUR - Shinka" held by BAND-MAID at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on February 14, 2020 Setlist: 1-Rinne 2-Blooming 3-Screaming 4-Dilemma 5-glory 6-FREEDOM 7-Choose me 8-PAGE 9-Mirage 10-catharsis 11-Bubble 12-The Dragon Cries 13-I can't live without you. 14-TIME 15-Wonderland 16-alone 17-DICE 18-Don't you tell ME 19-Play 20-DOMINATION 21-endless Story
Thanks for the reaction and comments. Arguably the happiest band on the planet. Their joy is contagious. Their stage presence is unmatched and is at a level most bands only dream of ever achieving. Cheers!
Seen them live, they put on a killer show. Absolutely worth it. Video can't capture Saiki's full power on stage, she's mesmerizing up close. If you watch enough live videos, you'll see her actually turn away from the audience during big instrumental breaks so she's not distracting the crowd with her charisma floodbeam.

Saiki is the youngest member, she turned 30 this year, the oldest member is around 33, she's private about her age as any woman has a right to be. I am hoping the world will still be listening to these ladies rock out for at least 2 more decades!
I always liked Saiki. But when I saw them live for the first time, I was smitten. She has such an incredible aura and stage presence. Also, at one of the shows, I was in the front at her feet. She is mesmerizing. Before Covid lockdowns they did a US tour. The venues were small because they were not as well known as they are now. I was able to meet them and talk to them. My first impression--they are TINY! However, they have a huge stage presence. Besides their incredible music, they love each other and they love their fans.
My FIRST Band-Maid song! Saiki = Sigh-Key Kanami = Ka-Nam-ee Akane = Ah-Kahn-Eh Misa and Miku easy peasy... Miku was singing to her sensei, Akane is a happy drummer.
"smile to your face..." Yeah thats it. Band Maid is my musical happy place these days. Their music is just joyful. Great reaction ... enjoying the series.
The Maids performing one of their (two) most performed songs: Freedom and Real Existence. The Maids in this MV are pure perfection, aren't they? I mean, what can you fault? And those faces... their attitude... their music... their playing... their story... and their joy! Band-Maid is a world treasure, imo! Thanks Ords, for bringing the world's best hard rock band to your viewers!
The Japanese 'i' is pronounced like the 'e' in 'she', and importantly, the language is mora-timed, meaning that the sounds are pronounced with the same length. So Saiki is Sa i ki.
Personally, I do not like the moniker of "Ice-Queen". It may have fit her persona or personality at one point in time, but today, I consider her the Queen of Cool ... or just "The Queen".
Saike... psyche.. to be more correct add both sounds to the first syllable... psy-i-che... but it's subtle... anyway the last sound is more eee than aaaii.
Saiki (Sigh-Key) Miku (Me-Koo) Kanami (Kuh-Naw-Me) Misa (Meece-Uh) Akane (Ahh-Kaw-Nay) Hope that helps. So upbeat and it feels like if KISS and ABBA made a song but then had way more talent. It's a 70's arena rock song but has those beautiful vocals that only true singers can sing.
Saiki =sigh-key Also she no longer is the "ice queen"(it has negative meaning since she is super near sighted and just introverted) she's just the dark persona to miku's light persona for interviews
Band-Maid is absolutely contagious! Their talent is insane, but their personalties tie it all together!
Big Facts!
Smile-Maids - thanks for reacting to the happiest band in the world.
This song and the mv for "Blooming" were what pushed me from a casual to a superfan of BM.

sigh - key
akane gives the "kiss my a$$ you cant mess me up". then kanami does her solo with a smirk to the audience like "yeah i just did that"
Saiki is Sigh - Key
Thank you! 🙏

Anyone ever tell you that you have the perfect voice for radio?
I have been told that before and thank you! I appreciate you. I would totally do radio!
In a few hours, they will drop something new on their channel,
That drum beat you keep referring to, with the off beat Hi-Hat, is a classic 'Disco' beat from the 70's. As has been said...the maids play all genres.
I always liked Saiki. But when I saw them live for the first time, I was smitten. She has such an incredible aura and stage presence. Also, at one of the shows, I was in the front at her feet. Next concert reaction, you should do either Domination, Don't you tell Me or Hate
Send me a link bubba I got you!
@@ReactAttack90 all are on their main channel
That was freaking awesome.
Thank you 🤘
"smile to your face..."

They love playing this song and it shows 🙂
*Band Maid!*
new release immanent 💥💥
Ords, here's their names and how to pronounce them:
Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “StarQueen" - Lead vocals
Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, Vocals, Lyricist, SpokesPigeon, and Founder
Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead Guitar, Keyboards, Main Composer
Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums
MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" aka: MISA MISA MISA - Bass
The Japanese 'i' is pronounced like the 'e' in 'she', and importantly, the language is mora-timed, meaning that the sounds are pronounced with the same length. So Saiki is Sa i ki.

Akane (Ahh-Kaw-Nay)

Entrancing.
Say, “Sushi.”
Say, “Saiki.”
🤘
Not Saike. It's Saiki pronounce like Psyche (Sigh-Key).
The singers full name is pronounced si- kee at su mee. but we just call her Si Kee.
You didn't pronounce it right - Sai-key or s-eye-key There first part of her name rhymes with eye or dye.
Saiki =sigh-key
Also she no longer is the "ice queen"(it has negative meaning since she is super near sighted and just introverted) she's just the dark persona to miku's light persona for interviews
