Grab a new filter and the old one and compare the 2 at a window when the sun's up. If you can barely see light or any at all shining through the filter, it's done. Put in the new one. The new one will have a lot of light going through for comparison.
I don't know why people would use humidifiers while running the A/C, part of the A/C's job is to take the moisture out of the air, to lower the dewpoint.

Is the same way with the air conditioning system including the furnace in the attic ? Please help..

For your HVAC system, manufacturers recommend biannual maintenance - once a year for your AC components and once a year for your heating components.
Don't forget the anode rod in your water heater
