something lowkey I noticed - Kaido intentionally got caught whenever he was hungry right? implying that he was often hungry when he was younger. When Luffy said that he wanted a world where people didn't have to starve, there is a single panel of Kaido's eye wide in shock and (I think) understanding just before he gets sent flying. I think that's what did it more than the punch - the realization that Luffy is Joyboy, here to right the wrongs of the world. The man everyone is waiting for, even Kaido himself in his own way, is here. It wasn't "just" a big punch (though that was certainly part of it haha) it was what Luffy has been doing for the whole series - freeing people from their burdens, at least that's how I interpreted it. Time will tell if I'm off base on this though XD.
Yes, that was my assumption but I interpreted like. he used to starve and if you look at wano everyone is starving. He became what he hated in a since.
1000% Luffy breaks people's world views and makes them re evaluate the world n their place in it. Kaido is probably glad that he got to see the arrival of Joyboy.
A thing you missed: When kaido fell to the ground, it made a perfect Kaido-shaped hole a la looney tunes, like instead of a crater its a spiral dragon hole that just goes down vertically.
Tekking at the start of Roof Piece: "I'm going to keep track of every hit that anyone lands on Big Mom or Kaido" Tekking now: "Luffy might have hit Kaido with Snakeman, who knows? I'm not keeping track of this stuff"
Momo being able to summon the flame clouds when scared makes sense. Our very first introduction to momo was him summoning flame clouds in a panic, and not knowing how to do it when he comes back to his senses. Perfect foreshadowing.
Oh nice one! I was wondering if it really makes sense for Momo to still rescue Wano because it feels like a typical anime hero moment. But because it was already done in his introduction, it for sure makes it more logical that he was able to do.
A possible reason why the WG did not use sea prism on Kaido is that it just wasn't available back then. It's been stated that Wano is the origin of sea prism stone, and as Wano was cut off until Kaido took over, the WG may only have started incorporating it into their everyday gear once Kaido started selling it to them. They may have had some reserves before, but I expect it would have been reserved for more important uses such as coating ships for travel through the Calm Belt and handling the most dangerous DF users.
This also implicates that the poneglyphs are very similar to seastone, maybe even a seastone alloy, and them being carved through Advanced Conquerers Armament Haki(for a lack of a better term). Meaning that technically, Luffy and Kaido can destroy the "indestructable" poneglyphs
@@Predated2 I always wonder when people say, admirals might have Acoc, doesn't it prove that they don't because if they did they would've destroyed the uponeglyphs but they can't.
@@random.3665 my bad I should have been more clear with my point, I tend to mix up ryou(Advance armament) with acoc, I was talking about Ryou, some people say admirals have that.
Luffy did use snake man against Kaido That's when the whole "rubber shouldn't be able to move like that" thing happened, and we started to speculate that Luffy's fruit isn't the gomu-gomu no mi
Come to think of it, the Vodka Kingdom COULD be a representative of Genghis Khan's Mongolia. It matches quite nicely in a couple of points. Mongolia conquered Russia, therefore it justifies "vodka", and used to raid China all the time, therefore it justifies the way the Vodka Kingdom would collect the Heavenly Tribute. Kaido sounds like a young Genghis Khan who was tired of just raiding for a living. He wanted to conquer and had both the might and the strategic mastermind to do so. We saw how terrifying he ended up being. Kaido could've been Genghis, but was denied by the Vodka king
@@silversrayleigh8980I don't know why you are being so negative when there are SOME parallels to Genghis Khan, sure it probably isn't a reference at all but I mean everyone interprets things differently.
40:37 Luffy did in fact use Snakeman. One of the greatest signs of growth from him regarding mastery of his Devil Fruit prior to Gear 5th was him freely switching between Snakeman and Boundman with basically no lag or pause
Luffy after Fishmen Island: "I don't want to be a Hero, Hero's share their food! I want all the meat!" Luffy after Wano: "I want a world where all my friend can eat as much as the want!" Sanji: "I could have told you that 1000 chapters ago."
Do you realise how hard it is to achieve his dream? He really means to achieve both of those things. :D Probably to have so much meat so after he passes out from eating, there will still be so much left that no one will stay hungry. That's why I love One Piece, it's seemengly simple, but not exactly.
I agree with what you were saying about Kaido's flashback. God Valley was an event that is a part of not only Kaido but Whitebeard, Big Mom, Roger, Garp and of course Rocks himself so leaving it to a future arc where it fits and matters more. Focusing on Kaido feels better for this current arc.
it was like 3 panels for Kaidos back story ... Oden had an actual SIX MONTHS of mangas focusing on his story. Jesus, why cant we get some somewhat equaling of main characters and tbh Kaido is a much more popular character than Oden being that he is still ALIVE.
@@silversrayleigh8980 we got Oden’s backstory super flashed out because it played a HUGE part in establishing the twenty years of history taking place in Wano. And even then we didn’t get absolutely everything. Imagine if we got that flashback around the time we met Rayleigh. We couldn’t because at that point we didn’t know all the characters that would play major roles in the flashback. I imagine the same goes for the Rocks crew. Once we meet and learn about all the characters that were important then, then we can get the full flashback

Is no body going to comment on the fact that even at a young age in what seems to be his home kingdom kaido was the only one of his kind, he was the only oni around that we saw
"I want a world where my friends can eat as much as they want!" Could be what Luffys hidden dream is? I feel like this would make sense and fall in line with Luffys personality.
I forgot who it was, but one of the anime channels said that Luffy's real dream had to be food related. I feel that is his true dream and why he wants to be king of the pirates.
Kaidou's flashback purposely getting caught by marine so he can eat, Luffy: "I want a world where my friends can eat as much as they want Kaidou : Joy Boy- sama can I be your friend pwessss 👉👈
@@pnwscitech1589 I always had a thought in the back of my mind along the same lines. I never truly considered it. But the more I think of it, it makes sense. Some of the most joyous (pun intended) moments in life come from the food we eat and the bread we break and share with one another. That fact that Luffy wants to create a world where you can eat untill your hearts content is one of the most satisfying and freest feelings imaginable.
Can we appreciate the fact that Kaido’s body created a dragon Kaido shaped hole straight through the ground. His horn is broken, his eyes are whited out. Unless he has main character powers we don’t know about he’s gonna be out for a while.
@@shotgun6X I think he is gonna say he never mastered awakening and then go feral. Maybe it will be a battle between him and the rest of the Straw hats that are up and about allowing Sanji to finally face kaidou.
When Luffy was coming in riding on Momonouske while Yamato was still fighting Kaido and we got the shot of both of their attacks hitting Kaido at once, Luffy was in Snakeman then so technically he has used Snakeman during his fight with Kaido
I think this might be worth addressing in a future video: Emperor Sense of Equality. Much like how Admirals each have a sense of justice. 1. Big Mom= having diversity living in "peace" together and through marriage 2. Kaido= fighting together on the battlefield 3. White Beard= living like family together/sibling relationships 4. Luffy= everyone being able to eat at the same table 5. Shanks= maybe being able to share a drink like friends?
and much like the sense of justice in teh admirals, it's a perverted sense of equality while if luffy was asked, he'd define "his friends" as everyone on earth because he's still that pure.
Gotta remember Tekking, Garp working with Roger wasn't top secret knowledge prior to Sengoku's revealing it this arc and even then only to Marines, don't think it's fully public know how still.
Something about the flashback felt odd to me. I guess we've already been getting bits and pieces but this felt kinda oddly cliffnotes-y to me. I didn't need multiple chapters or anything, but Big Moms was way more fufilling. But we'll probably get more like you said, it feeling more like a summary likely is the point this time
Maybe oda had to do it under some editor pressure or something. So they can finish this arc in the anime or something idk. But oda will fix it in future chapter I guesss
I'm so happy and ecstatic to finally see it about Kaido's flashback/backstory even though it wasn't exactly what I was expecting but it was still awesome also his home island being called Vodka is hilarious plus collab with The 2Spookster himself banger
I think what kaidos flashback tells us, is that the story of the beast pirates is not over. Most villains got a big flashback at this point,i think we will see a lot more from kaido, king and queen in the future.
True especially with King being Lunarian and waiting for Joyboy and Kaido's philosophy as a whole and his ultimate goal of dying in battle. You could also argue that some people wanted more out of Who's Who and his past. SO I do agree with your Beasts Pirates not being over. And maybe who knows maybe we get some more Queen/Germa/Vegapunk connections and other Tobi Roppo but for now Kaido, King and arguably Who's Who are the main ones left.
15:23 The 'pirate kingdom' on Madagascar was called Libertalia, and is possibly a myth/fictional....at the very least a matter of debate if it existed. One that did for sure exist, however, was the Pirate Republic of Nassau in the Bahamas. More of a glorified town than a 'kingdom' at the time, the city itself is still there today as the capital and largest city in the Bahamas.
I liked the chapter more than the previous one. Beating down final villians with punch has always been a Luffy's thing. If Oda had gone another way, some people would have still complained that Luffy didn't deliver the final punch. I enjoyed it, 9/10. The flashback could have been longer. I enjoyed the chapter for it feels and also it sonewhat satisfied my ego that Kaido has always been the gatekeeper of the Joyboy title. I But I think Kaido has done too many bad things to be redeemed so I believe Kaido will die protecting the Strawhats from the Marines to let them escape on Zunisha to Elbaf. Hitting 2 birds with 1 stone.
@@metamonpulls1560 this is what I think the final boss of Wano means. I believe Green Bull is on those marine ships, and honestly at this point I can't see anyone being able to take-on an Admiral one-on-one.
Kaido lives ... Luffy is zapped by attrition ... and Kaido attacks luffy One more time while hes' down just to be saved in epic fashion by ... Z O R O Zoro will cutt his head off.
Can't say I agree on that theory, because that basically assume that the elephant who's leg is bigger than the dinosaur killer can't do shit to a few ships. Unless green bull can fly, is fast enough to avoid zunisha and is strong enough to just one tap the beast, which I highly doubt he can, zunisha just being their escort bus is kinda pointless. There is no way this fleet of marines and government ship could hope contend with a creature this massive and powerful, if he is allowed to react to them.
The kaido flashback ages go as follows First one : 10 y/o as stated in the panel Second One (46 years ago): hes 13 y/o. (Hes currently 59) Third One (44 years ago): 15 y/o, stated in panel. So kaido was “caught” atleast twice so far bc the other marine brought it up. Fourth One: 25 y/o bc its 10 years since the God Valley Incident. He also has the scales tattoo now.
You can see that luffy actually was holding kaidos attack up until he saw that momo managed to move Onigashima. So its not that Momo just happened to summon the cloud at the right moment, this whole time he was trying to do it while luffys and kaidos attacks were clashing, and as soon as he got it out Luffy saw that and pushed through the fire dragon
@@UltimateHibz it makes sense because if he had done it then, kaido would have just crashed into onigashima and could have been fine or perhaps just push the island down with him. So yeah it makes sense that luffy was holding back somewhat until then.
@@thenobody7509 that could be the case. But personally I find Luffy treating Kaido, the strongest creature like a little brother. Holding back his power, whilst Kaido is going full force is not logical for me.
@@UltimateHibz mean its not the first time he's had a power up and done that, mean look at dofy he did the exact same thing to him. also funny enough it is in a sense logical cause luffy would have probably hit the island and could have maybe destroyed it thus killing everyone on it
Momo could always summon the clouds... Remember back in Punk Hazard when Luffy finds him (and momo is still a baby dragon), he uses the clouds the climb up out of the hole, but since he couldn't control them well they 'broke' So the 95% thing really does not make sense.
For the final attack from Luffy this was my take away. Luffy knocks Kiado out of the flaming dragon then kiados body speeds up as he's falling. I'm assuming luffy used the shock wave haki (Rayleigh with the elephant) after kiado got knocked out the dragon. I say that because kiado looks like he's being dragged to hell by a continuous force and not just an impact hit.
Tekking. Thank you ! You have been apart of my one piece experience for over 6 years and you have become essential to my one piece journey. What an immaculate chapter, literally laughing at all the people who are turning on oda . But I don’t think it’s done. I think kaido is gonna get up and I think big mom is too and it will take the entirety of the alliance to put em down
I think kaido also let his guard down when luffy said that his ideal world, "is one where his friends can eat all they want" as I believe the nuance was that those are the same words Gol D. Roger said or something joyboy had said because it seemed like too much of a coincidence to flashback to the dialogue talking about joyboy being the one to beat kaido.
About Momo’s devil fruit, I have a theory that he’s a lot more connected to Kaido than we currently think. I think maybe Vegapunk had to take a lot of Kaido’s DNA to make it, and the reason Shinobu was crying when she aged him up was because he now looks more like Kaido than Oden? Just a theory I wanted to put out before anything was confirmed. That would also explain why Vegapunk considered it a failure.
The word *connected* came out, then followed by *dna* ? If dna connects people's df ability that much, then BM's children would have shown such sign, given how many samples we have
@@FHK_88 I think since it's a zoan, and we know they have souls, it would have some of have his soul rather than it being a the fruit's or a blank slate, thus vegapunk labeled it a failure
@@FHK_88 Not the same. Because DFs might actively change your dna, but nothing about that says that these changes are hereditary or could be passed down. Momo isn't Kaido's kid, he'd actively be a genetic chimera made using Kaido's dna directly, which is very different. The issue is just we have no idea of any of that matters at all, or if the DF itself isn't the main draw anyway. Like we've seen Smiles, because they use the DNA of very real animals, but what if all DFs had their own unique genetics? There is just too much we don't know in general where fruits are concerned.
@@FHK_88 but this is an artificial devil fruit directly created from human dna. It’s basically a human SMILE, so I think it makes sense for Momo to have a lot of Kaido’s physical characteristics
They never would have gone along with it. Kaido was imprisoned against his will and Big Mom was too unpredictable plus Mother Caramel spoiled her a lot.
@@theenjeneer2792 garp and Roger beat older kaido big mom whitebeard rocks WHANG G and so on basically head on and later fought Roger one on one all the time. Kaido younger would die if he tried it with garp
Hey, Tekking! Momo was actually able to create the flame clouds before Luffy's attack even connected to Kaido, so he wasn't unconscious yet. So I don't think Momo was only able to create flame clouds when Kaido fell unconscious. I, for one, can't wait for the juicy lore wano has in store for us after all that. Also we still need the road poneglyphs of wano to find
I'm glad you understand that things with Kaido and the Rocks aren't over. I'm super frustrated with the superficial readers this week that hated this chapter. Like in normal situations, to each their own opinions, but it's clear enough this is not the end yet too many people were like "This chapter is garbage". It COULD possibly be the end of the fight, to which I say just be patient and let's see what Oda does, there's gotta be a reason. I currently do not think this fight is over. Not just that, there's so much I don't see people questioning. Like every time Kaido was captured was seemingly of his own volition to eat, which is not only such a Luffy thing to do, but making sure all his friends can eat is Luffy's ideal world. This should appeal to Kaido's inner child and will probably mean something. But there's plenty that still needs to be covered, so if it is the end of the fight, at the very least this means this isn't the definitive end for Kaido.
I think that the old saying for this situation is that patience is a virtue. Harder in practice than in theory in my experience, but worth it in my opinion.
I will say my guess for the germa cover story is Pudding disguised as a vinsmoke and that she is going to change the memories of her family members and others to make sure she does not get caught.
Until we see them next to each other I’m going to say Zoro and Oden have the same sized upper body and the only reason Oden is taller is his legs. I know it’s not true by using any of the scabbard as a comparison but I find the idea funny.
I’ve watched all the prominent one piece reviewers today for the most part, and I’m surprised not one compared the jumpy movement through kaidos back story to his life flashing before his eyes. I’m not saying he’s dead or will stay dead but I mean that’s definitely the feel I got.
I think until Kaido got knocked out, Momo was fighting a losing battle of tug-o-war with Kaido. Even after getting a mature and stronger body, even with that rapidly evolving his capabilities, Kaido still has better control over the dragon flames.
Plus, to debunk Tekking's idea... if they shared the same fruit, they both couldn't be in giant dragon form at the same time. I really think the simple explanation is the most accurate... it is just a failed copy of the original that was to random to control to make useful.
Hit it in the nail: Oda will give a exclusive Rocks pirates flashback. It can clearly be seen Luffy was fooling around and holding back, but once he wanted to end it, it happened and overcame Kaido current power e will.
Have not fully watched the video or read the chapter but having a flash back of kaido first using the fish fruit and just turns into a giant koi hoping around yelling magikarp magikarp.
The scene with Kurozumi Higurashi and Kaidou happened 28 years ago 10 years after the God Valley incident. Higurashi had already met with Orochi over 41 years ago and enacted her plan with him. 28 years ago was when the news of shougun Sukiyaki's death spread in Wano and Orochi was made the proxy shougun.
Damn Luffy’s, end of fight dialogue reminds me of Shulk, telling Zanza, he just wants to live his life as a Homs in a world without Zanza, but Luffy, wants to live in a world without any tyrant ruling over anything, and to have a place for his friends.
I was Hoping that Momo wouldve used the lanterns fire as a way to hold up/stop Onigashima. From a story telling perspective, it makes perfect sense. Kaido used his power and strength to hold it up by himself but Momo wouldve used the power of the people, who all collectively wanted Orochi to be defeated and to be free, to stop the island from falling. A perfect representation of Kaido, that "Im the strongest, youre all weak, I can do this myself" verses Momo who wouldve used that "weak" power of the collective mixed in with his own to, literally and figuratively, lift the country and start a new rule. Couldve even had a cool scene where Momo was struggling to stop it with his own fire and didnt think he could but when he saw the lanterns floating up to him and what was written on them ("Please free us from this hell, I wish Orochi would go away"), that was the literal fire he needed to succeed. Still a great chapter tho Also for what Luffys "real" dream is, I feel has some sort of relation to what he said here. "I'll be king of the pirates and then... I'll eat the whole world" or "I'll eat everything in the world". Some random thing Luffy would come up with as a kid. Obviously im not the greatest writer but something along the lines of eating. Roger said something similar and it couldve been like "...Ill drink all the booze in the world" we know if theres one thing pirates loved more than adventure, its Grog. The two being slightly different but equally as foolish I think would be a good way to show that as people they were different but also very similar.
There is a pannel in which big mom yells at kaido "Where are you? Don't screw with me!" which leads me to belive that Kaido did not fight on God Valley and is in part responsible for rocks defeat.
38:06 LETS GOOOOOOO KAIDO IS BEATEN 39:00 Love this touch of the music 47:12 what if Kaido becomes an underling to Luffy now? He was obsessed with Joyboy so maybe now he will believe Luffy is Joyboy and follow him.

@@jprest13 No bro I meant like her mom could be anywhere or dead or something else we just don't know. I think it would be quite interesting to find out who she is and what she's up to now cause we'd assume Kaido wouldn't impregnate just any random lady. That's also why the Crocodile being Luffy's mother is an interesting theory. And honestly you got it upside down about the storytelling. She wanted to go to sea from the get go and join the Straw Hats right away. If you've actually looked at the way Oda writes his story and the basics of how a character arc works then that means hers will likely make her realize she shouldn't do that. There is no character arc if she goes from wanting to join the crew to wanting to join the crew. The proof is in every other straw hat, none of them initially wanted to join or only did so for dubious reasons at first. It's only after Luffy fought for them they got won over. It's the classic reversal.
@@FunkiMonki69 ...wow. I'll say this and step away. the very idea that Ichiiro Oda is writing about is the freedom he personally seeks from the restrictive bounds of Japanese culture. the wano arc (which represents Japan) reveals the concept of Luffy basically having the freedom-freedom fruit is meant to not only free those within the manga, but break the 4th wall by freeing Oda from the played out repetitive patterns established in the manga up to this point. he literally just wants to be creative again tell his story, but its still a story. he said moms protect their kids from adventure so he removes them to prevent that conflict. freeing the character up to do whatever.

This is the second time it was hinted the downfall of the Rocks Pirates was because they couldn't work together. Big difference from the old era & the Worst Generation.
Internal fighting is often the downfall of powerful groups. It also fits with the idea of how pirates in this series are thought to be untrustworthy by others.

This chapter was incredible. Kaido's flashback and or story is not done yet, be patient. When Kaido tells Luffy he can't change the world he rembemers how futile it felt for him when he was younger. Kaido was born and raised in war, he knows the true meaning behind violence, brutality, famine and WAR. His philosophy about "one's worth can only be measured in strength" is only a facade. His true intentions are the opposite, he doesn't want to fight and kill. He was forced to do all of this because humans saw that as their only way to survive. The hag says in the flashback that the nature of US humans is violent. Indirectly implying that Kaido is not human, that is why he feels superior to humans. Because of the prophecy about Wano's liberation and the arrival of Joy boy he knew that if he enslaved and isolated Wano he would in some way act as a catalyst for the prophecy. According to Kaidos real philosophy, Joy Boy is his "hero" or "role model" in some way. The entire point behind Joy boy is to liberate and bring joy to everyone, indirectly removing the celestials tyranny. Add to this the fact that Kaido is INhumanly powerful only a handful of individuals can beat him and as a result liberate Wano, thus being Joy Boy. He enslaved Wano in order to bring forth Joy Boy. In reality Kaido is similar to Luffy, he wants everyone to be free of the celestials and follow their dreams. He wishes that nobody has to know the true meaning behind famine, death and WAR. The difference between him and Luffy is their upbringing. Luffy had good role models to inspire him and keep his hope alive. Kaido had no one, no role model to inspire him, the only people who surrounded him were greedy, manipulative, selfish and ignorant. When he met Rocks he certanly didn't have any reason to believe in humans, he tells Luffy in their fight that pirates only betray each other, something Kaido was all to familiar with. Since Kaido couldn't be Joy boy and couldn't liberate people he instead chose to become the necessary evil in order to birth the ultime good, Joy boy. We will probably see more of Kaido's background, ideals and motives later on. Remember Wano is not done yet, be patient. :) Please tell me your opinions about this, I would gladly discuss it with you.
Brilliant observation that kaido was encased in a larger flame-dragon visage! You really can see kaido transposed inside his flame Dragon sheath in the panel where luffy puts an extra burst thru his fist, widening the flame dragon's jaws. I was initially confused how the next panel showed the side of kaido's face being hit, until you explained things.
Kaido talking with the Kurozumi lady about the weapons makes me think the original reason Kaido might have come to Wano was related to Uranus. If weapons are such a big deal to him to make change, it makes sense that a world ending weapon would make all the difference in completing his plan to fruition
I don’t think that’s it, when roger and luffy say whatever it is, they specifically refer to themselves before it cuts off, so if it was for everyone to eat as much as they want them saying “and then I’ll be…” wouldn’t really seem to fit unless I’m not thinking of something.
In my opinion there’s no way kaido is done for good, remember when kaido “killed” luffy and he got gear 5th? The narrator said “rooftop battle kaido wins” I think oda just changing the arena of the fight.
Tekking is the official OG and has been here so long as a content creator. I empathize with the crew who are relatively recent and reacting to the struggles;/whiplash of weeklies. same time, it is very obvious who has been around before. Love to see the excitement/foresight coming from Teking here.
Momo used his flame clouds when him and Luffy were on punk hazard to get out of the whole. Did not make it all the way but he did use them while scared and fresh to the fruit
I hope we get Kaido’s full flashback next chapter. Big Mom, Doflamingo, even Katakuri had flashbacks. We could get a flashback next chapter but without spoiling Rocks.

💎
Yes, people are often hungry.
1000% Luffy breaks people's world views and makes them re evaluate the world n their place in it. Kaido is probably glad that he got to see the arrival of Joyboy.
i like this view point alot it makes alot of sense for who both luffy and kaido is
A thing you missed: When kaido fell to the ground, it made a perfect Kaido-shaped hole a la looney tunes, like instead of a crater its a spiral dragon hole that just goes down vertically.
"And that's all folks."
Anyway, Wano will always revere those two mighty holes.

Momo being able to summon the flame clouds when scared makes sense. Our very first introduction to momo was him summoning flame clouds in a panic, and not knowing how to do it when he comes back to his senses. Perfect foreshadowing.
Yh it's crazy how everything links back one way or another
Oh nice one! I was wondering if it really makes sense for Momo to still rescue Wano because it feels like a typical anime hero moment. But because it was already done in his introduction, it for sure makes it more logical that he was able to do.
peak fiction
A possible reason why the WG did not use sea prism on Kaido is that it just wasn't available back then. It's been stated that Wano is the origin of sea prism stone, and as Wano was cut off until Kaido took over, the WG may only have started incorporating it into their everyday gear once Kaido started selling it to them. They may have had some reserves before, but I expect it would have been reserved for more important uses such as coating ships for travel through the Calm Belt and handling the most dangerous DF users.
Genius!

Yup rocks is definetely being saved for later

That fact that Luffy wants to create a world where you can eat untill your hearts content is one of the most satisfying and freest feelings imaginable.

I don't know about mc powers, but there's a common theory that he has Awakening powers that might kick in, just like the jailers in Impel Down

When Luffy was coming in riding on Momonouske while Yamato was still fighting Kaido and we got the shot of both of their attacks hitting Kaido at once, Luffy was in Snakeman then so technically he has used Snakeman during his fight with Kaido
He also used snakeman when he whipped out that Hydra move that overwhelmed Kaido as he started switching between snake and bound/bounce man
Can confirm, Luffy used Snakeman during Kaido’s different drunk moods. Reread part of the battle where that happened last night.
I think this might be worth addressing in a future video: Emperor Sense of Equality. Much like how Admirals each have a sense of justice.
1. Big Mom= having diversity living in "peace" together and through marriage
2. Kaido= fighting together on the battlefield
3. White Beard= living like family together/sibling relationships
4. Luffy= everyone being able to eat at the same table
5. Shanks= maybe being able to share a drink like friends?
and much like the sense of justice in teh admirals, it's a perverted sense of equality while if luffy was asked, he'd define "his friends" as everyone on earth because he's still that pure.
I'm just happy we finally found out what Luffy and Roger said, about what there true dream was.
Luffy: “I’M GONNA SEND YOU TO HELL!!!”

Yea only people who were in the marines 40yrs ago would know about it
Something about the flashback felt odd to me. I guess we've already been getting bits and pieces but this felt kinda oddly cliffnotes-y to me. I didn't need multiple chapters or anything, but Big Moms was way more fufilling. But we'll probably get more like you said, it feeling more like a summary likely is the point this time
It could be expanded when rocks pirates flash back
I feel like the important parts of Kaido’s backstory will reveal stuff about Rocks. Oda probably wants to save that for after Wano.
dw the arc haven't ended yet
Kaido's flashback might be full of major spoilers. That's probably why. Will get his proper flashback in later arc.
Maybe oda had to do it under some editor pressure or something. So they can finish this arc in the anime or something idk. But oda will fix it in future chapter I guesss
I betcha Luffy's "Create a world where my friends can eat" line is the previously removed line that Roger and Luffy share
I was thinking the same thing. I’m not 100% sure but it IS a real possibility.
I'm so happy and ecstatic to finally see it about Kaido's flashback/backstory even though it wasn't exactly what I was expecting but it was still awesome also his home island being called Vodka is hilarious plus collab with The 2Spookster himself banger
Tekking... You sir were born to epically reenacts One piece chapters! The energy, the excitement, the expressions! Top notch sir! Thank you!
Oda won't toss them to the side but their won't be Strawhats vs Beast Pirates part 2.

Zoro will cutt his head off.
The kaido flashback ages go as follows
First one : 10 y/o as stated in the panel
Second One (46 years ago): hes 13 y/o. (Hes currently 59)
Third One (44 years ago): 15 y/o, stated in panel.
So kaido was “caught” atleast twice so far bc the other marine brought it up.
Fourth One: 25 y/o bc its 10 years since the God Valley Incident. He also has the scales tattoo now.
Kaido was 13 when he escaped and received his first bounty.
Kaidou's life was flashing before his eyes
You can see that luffy actually was holding kaidos attack up until he saw that momo managed to move Onigashima. So its not that Momo just happened to summon the cloud at the right moment, this whole time he was trying to do it while luffys and kaidos attacks were clashing, and as soon as he got it out Luffy saw that and pushed through the fire dragon
That's a great observation!
So Luffy was holding back against Kaido in that scenario ?
I don't know about that
@@UltimateHibz it makes sense because if he had done it then, kaido would have just crashed into onigashima and could have been fine or perhaps just push the island down with him. So yeah it makes sense that luffy was holding back somewhat until then.
@@thenobody7509 that could be the case.

Remember back in Punk Hazard when Luffy finds him (and momo is still a baby dragon), he uses the clouds the climb up out of the hole, but since he couldn't control them well they 'broke'
So the 95% thing really does not make sense.
I can imagine Tekking saying "That's all folks!" in Orochi's voice at the end of One Piece reviews
I remember Luffy using snake man when he got back from his meat break with an older momonosuke for the combo hit with Yamato.
Tekking has so much Observation haki that he saw the sneeze coming and used CoC haki to suppress it. Such an impressive presence
If dna connects people's df ability that much, then BM's children would have shown such sign, given how many samples we have
I like Whitebeard theory more that Toki was on WB's ship when she conceived Momo, so....... 🤔

We might get more about Rocks with Blackbeard. Strongly believe they are related.
I think that the old saying for this situation is that patience is a virtue. Harder in practice than in theory in my experience, but worth it in my opinion.

Loved this review Tekking, my sentiments exactly on this chapter. Can't wait for the wrap up stuff.
The way you started the vid made me say “GHOST PIECE!?” in surprise
I’ve watched all the prominent one piece reviewers today for the most part, and I’m surprised not one compared the jumpy movement through kaidos back story to his life flashing before his eyes. I’m not saying he’s dead or will stay dead but I mean that’s definitely the feel I got.
after reading from that chapter, I spent the next few hours saying every so often:
"he did it... he finally did it..."
I'm thrilled for the next cover story "How Kaido became a member of the Strawhat-Fanclub of Bartolomeo" now that he will realise Luffy is Joyboy LMAO
Kaido was being a goalpost for finding joyboy all along. Huh. Who could have guessed
I can't wait for that line of the one piece chapter reviews!
Hit it in the nail: Oda will give a exclusive Rocks pirates flashback. It can clearly be seen Luffy was fooling around and holding back, but once he wanted to end it, it happened and overcame Kaido current power e will.
I'll hold you to yer word tekking, We better get your best Orochi on the final chapter review x3
And when you consider where he grew up and how, yeah that totally makes sense for him.
Cp0 : "Luffy has awakened" would be such a sick cliffhanger
Still a great chapter tho
Also for what Luffys "real" dream is, I feel has some sort of relation to what he said here.
Just wanted to say hi tekking I've been a big fan of yours for years 😁

@@jprest13 I didn't say she has to make an appearance, just that who she is/was might be relevant. Also might not be the case you just spoke with absolute finality even tho we don't know that at all. We could've said the same for Sanji but his mom ended up becoming relevant.
"Luffy is trying to fist Kaido as Hard as he can!!" Is probably thee most hilarious bit of dialogue/monologue to have ever touched the TH-cam platform 🤣🤣🤣
I feel like ever since Katakuri, Odas’ been giving us subpar flashbacks for our villain characters and I’m perfectly fine with it
That's why I like your videos, other youtubers only made videos complaining for 10-15 minutes about what they would have liked to see in this chapter but you broke down this chapter into a 50 min video(sorry for my english)
Literally a decade and almost 400 chapters ago when Law ask Luffy for alliance to take down Kaido, can’t believe that it’s finally over! The strongest creature in Sea, Land and sky aka The beast Kaido!! Everybody sit back buckle up bc we’re going to the next and final saga of this epic journey!!
35:10 careful what you promise, Tekking... the internet never forgets...
You are the only reactor that has the same feeling as me about this chapter... I do think this chapter is a blast and I love it so much! I love every single aspect of it... Even that so-called "rushed flashback" if you know Oda sensei you should know... That flashback is just him being careful not to reveal that much YET! So yeah... Be patient I guess? Whatever it is, I think this chapter is so cool and EPIC!!
I am sure we will get more answers if we are patient. I liked this chapter honestly. That's just me of course.
man having that last word of your review ever being orachi's lines, ill tear up ngl & cant wait to comment "Only the OGs know"
This is the second time it was hinted the downfall of the Rocks Pirates was because they couldn't work together. Big difference from the old era & the Worst Generation.
Internal fighting is often the downfall of powerful groups. It also fits with the idea of how pirates in this series are thought to be untrustworthy by others.
The fact that I subscribed to this channel at the beginning of the wano arc and now it’s almost over is insane
Jason X is certainly the greatest sci-fi horror movie. My favorite part in Jason X is when the cyborg girl tries fighting Jason after he becomes cybernetic and just punches her head off
She's really just a robot.
I’m sorry, I don’t remember the details of the movie because I’ve seen it only once as a kid and once is all I need for a life-changing experience
I didnt quite understand how luffy beat kaido on my readthrough, you clearing that up to me and conveing such hype really made me enjoy the chapter a lot more, thank you.
Gonna wait for the post-section of the arc to judge it, happy so far. Kaido is a fascinating tragic character.
I dont see how he is a tragic charater at all
@@0duwa3d His country tried to sell him as a slave to the world government. That's nuts.
@@riventriss3960 He clearly didnt care about that place that much, and was getting sold off to be a marine, not a slave, he isnt a tragic character at all
You know, this is why I can’t go without your content @tekkin101 . While every other TH-camr is complaining or concerned with how this chapter went, you gave us the cup half full version of everything that has culminated up until this moment making this deserving of the epic blow and finale. And you did it in such a fun way that it even convinced me. Thank you for that. Great chapter and fight, through and through.
Luffy: I want a place where my friends can eat as much as they want
Also Luffy: snatches food out of friends hands when eating together lmao
Kaido talking with the Kurozumi lady about the weapons makes me think the original reason Kaido might have come to Wano was related to Uranus. If weapons are such a big deal to him to make change, it makes sense that a world ending weapon would make all the difference in completing his plan to fruition
Is no one going to talk about how we finally learned Luffy's dream that Sabo and Ace were laughing at when they were kids?
I don’t think that’s it, when roger and luffy say whatever it is, they specifically refer to themselves before it cuts off, so if it was for everyone to eat as much as they want them saying “and then I’ll be…” wouldn’t really seem to fit unless I’m not thinking of something.
I think the reason why Momo was finally able to summon the flame clouds was because he used the right combination of words
In my opinion there’s no way kaido is done for good, remember when kaido “killed” luffy and he got gear 5th? The narrator said “rooftop battle kaido wins” I think oda just changing the arena of the fight.
tbh this went for too long
Tekking is the official OG and has been here so long as a content creator. I empathize with the crew who are relatively recent and reacting to the struggles;/whiplash of weeklies. same time, it is very obvious who has been around before. Love to see the excitement/foresight coming from Teking here.
Im glad you're not losing your mind like the rest of the community has. I can always come here for a level headed review.
Actually I think it's about time we get more Rocs reveals. It would be cool to start learning more about the god valley to have more topics in the coming arc
I think oda is just trying to finish wano already, a kaido flashback will just stretch the arc even more
@@geekbro6265 he could have done that by not repeating the same flashbacks for momo and the scabbards. For example, previous chapter was filled with flashbacks for stuff we already seen. I think Oda got feedback about what waste that chapter was.
I love your phrase of Luffy fisting kaido you said it with such a straight face . Such a tekking way to do the review. Great video
I don't think the battle is quite over yet. we haven't gotten the "Winner: Luffy" text. Maybe Kaido is still kicking? 🤔
@Biyonzo Or maybe Momo could get the final blow with a blast breath of his own?
Oden’s height was also all over the place in his flashback. Sometimes he was a 12 foot giant, and other times he was compatible to Rayleigh and Roger in height (like 6 ft).
Roger is 9 ft
