The maker yarn has been revamped, they took home dec out of the name and the colours are nicer. The turtles are so cute. I’m happy someone else likes Bernat blanket yarn!🧶
Yes!! Ive been dying to see a review on bernat maker style yarn! I want to make a handbag but i hate some of the tapey options and i cant stand acrylic yarn fuzz!
hey, thank you for watching! There is a direct link in the 10 Beginner tips video description but they're from AliExpress. Just be cautious of the backing/washer type as noted in that video! ❤️❤️
It's stiff and not very stretchy once you use it. I've used it for a small ice cream cone and it has structure but not much give. I was hoping it would have some "bounce" back to it but I used 3.5mm hook and still have some small holes. Needless to say I likely won't use it much. Hopefully some project will come along it will be perfect for.
Have you done a comparision of Fred the Seaturtle to the Tiana from AllfromJade w/ the half moon mod? Just curious which you prefer. My preferences in patterns really shadows yours which is really nice for me :)
I've made both, love both. I use Tiana for jumbo size 7 yarn turtles in both flipper mods and Fred for Bernat size 6 weight yarn turtles. I haven't tried them the other way around not sure why lol
@@Stacymakes I made mine and thought about the same as you. I also did a mod and added a mane, changed colors and embroidered different nose to make a lion. Turns out great!
I’m obsessed with y’all’s turtles! You inspired me to try one today - thank you! Also, THANK YOU for the “tips and tricks”…I’ve only been hookin’ since September & still so much to learn! I appreciate all of your wisdom! 😊 we are in the eclipse path, too! I wonder if we are close?! I’m in CBus & our local museum (COSI) has these “eclipse boxes” for free; we did the experiments with our two 5yo grandsons and they were REALLY cool! Highly recommend! Anyhoops, thank you! so glad I found your channel! Hugs….lisa ☺️🫶🏻🧶🐢
Hey Lisa!! We're in Southeastern Illinois. So glad you're enjoying the content! I love making turtles which is good because they almost always sellout! 😂 Nice to "meet" you! 😁
We purchased that lamb as a baby gift. Love it so much💕 Milly
Your turtles are A..adorable! Especially the first one you did in yellow, my favorite. All looked so good. Nice work ladies.
Thanks so much! 😊❤️

Love all your makes! They look awesome!
Thank you and thanks for watching! ☺️
These are so beautiful great work 🎉❤😊
Thank you!!🥰
The turtles are so cute, and I think I now need that Bernat yarn!😆
Yes, key word "need" 😂❤️
Love your videos! Thank you! ❤
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching
I'm with you about purple too. LOL
Haha, yes! 😂
The turtles turned out great. Your daughter is so cute lol She looks just like you.
Thank you! 😊
I am making Tessa the tortoise in blanket yarn but mine seems bigger. I am using an 8 mm hook but the next one I think I will go with smaller hook.
I used 6.5mm (maybe a 7) which is standard for me with Bernat. Good luck. It's a cute pattern 🥰
Cute turtles!! Love the relationship you and your daughter have! What size eyes did you use on the turtles?
23 or 28mm I usually like the 28mm the best! ❤️❤️
Thank you so much for sharing everything. All so helpful and cute. Could you also share where you get the eyes you used in this video?

Hi, yet another awesome video. That lamb is adorable. I have it in my cart on etsy. What size hook did you use for yours?
I used 7mm it's bernat yarn. ❤️ Its such a cute pattern.
Would love to hear your thoughts on the maker yarn when you try it! I have had my eye on it but haven’t bought any yet
