The first time I heard this song I was walking through the French Quarter on a warm January night. I leaned against a wall off of Esplanade and enjoyed one of those effortlessly serene moments life gives us far too infrequently.

long ago, Stackbucks would have CD's at the counter. I'd always figured they were free since they were charging so much for coffee. one of the CD's i unwittingly shoplifted was a compiliation of songs selected by Norah Jones, this was on it and i was hooked

I feel that every bend of the string or your vocal chords is a soft handfull of pure and raw American soil I can hold in my hand...my teather to my home and all the wonderful values we share.
