WHAT UP DUDES?!?!!?🙌🙌🙌 View time stamps and material list in the video description. Let me know what you guys think of the new how to video! See you all again soon!!
You need to use Epoxy Clay that will replace all the steps you are doing as you can sand and build out everything and no need for the plastic or bondo !
First I want to say I am the owner of this dash panel and couldn’t be FREAKIN MORE STOKED OF THE JOB DOUG DID! Watching this video of my iPad dash being built was awesome. Doug your attention to detail and time and care you put into these iPads dash mods speak for themselves in the finished product. You would almost think he was building the dash for himself or a member of his family with the level of care he puts forth. I have had the dash for about a month now and absolutely ❤ it!!! I have had so many compliments on it with some people actually believing it was a factory add on because of Dougs superior craftsmanship. All I can say to any of you reading this if you are on the fence getting Doug to mod your dash dont wait a second more, it is super worth every penny!!!! I want to think Doug for taking the time to make this video and including my dash, like I said before it was amazing watching my dash built and the care Doug puts into these mods. Also I want to think Kelly, Doug’s wife, for answering every one of my emails and keeping me up to date on the progress of my dash mod. One other quick thing I wish I could put up a pic of the box that my dash was shipped back in. You would have thought that they were shipping the most rare artifact in the world with the amount of padding that Doug shipped my dash back to me in. Honestly I believe it could have fell off the UPS truck got ran over and still been in perfect shape it was shipped so protected, LOL!! THANX AGAIN DOUG!!!! ONE BEYOND HAPPY CUSTOMER HERE!!!!
It's always really impressive to see your finished products in your Shorts but to see the process broken down is even cooler. I've been watching your channel ever since you were in the first shop. Always dig the content. Keep it up, Doug. ✌🏼
Commenting for the algorithm and to say it must have been super hard for Doug to spend the entire video being so professional. I know he wanted some jokes thrown in but he bit his tongue.
Love the new format! I love how your never static, even if you take some time before your next video it’s usually because your switching things up in your process to see what works best. Keep it up Dougie! I’ve watched your videos for years and will continue to because your content is always evolving!
Dammm , shit is crazy the amount of work that is needed to reach your level . Don’t think people really realize the love that goes into it . Good shit bro.. keep it up
Absolutely INCREDIBLE job! I greatly appreciate how you take ZERO shortcuts and make sure this job isn't done until everything is PERFECT! Instantly subscribed after watching this! Thanks for creating and posting!
That turned out really nice! I was skeptical in the beginning and was thinking, “why not just get a smaller ipad?” Because of how it covered the vents but you definitely made that look like it belongs there. Good work, Mr. Soundman. 👏
Looks awesome! I just have a question regarding the single din. How is the HU going to be mounted? It would have to be mounted behind the dash bezel in order to clear the iPad?
A kit that you could use to improve the strength of the bond is one of the hot plastic weld kits that utilize the little wires that get melted into the material. Just a thought for added strength and improved bonding for longevity.
Dude I've learned so much from you and the whole gang shit, since 7 yrs ago at the shop that got turned into an autozo and to watch the whole journey. This was the best video yet. 👍the dash mod came out sick as always 🤘rock on dude
Who would've thought I'd one day be using you as an educational resource? 😂 Not me a couple years ago. Good stuff giving inspiration for how to takle intalling a 2 din in my nissan 720
That was the best damn episode of Soundman I’ve seen in years. And don’t take it wrong I’m a huge fan. You’re very funny. I just really enjoyed learning these steps. Thank you!!
I hope you're charging $10k+ to do these, brother. I can't imagine the amount of time you're putting in for each one. I wash the exterior of houses with bleach and a hose at $200-$500hr (depending on the customer) and literally ANYONE can do it. You're skills are literally up with the best in the world, so hope you're charging right. All the best, brother. 10/10 work.
Your attention to detail is amazing. I wasn’t expecting it to look as factory as it did when you finished. I can’t imagine how much this cost and the amount of labor hours put in.
Damn that's some good work. Love the breakdown and watching you go through the process of doing one of these custom dash mods. Came out clean bro looking forward to seeing more!!
Good, appreciate, but just pay attention on ventilation for iPad by making some small holes in mold, hope it will help iPad to keep cool during heavy usage and charging
Nice work 👍🏼👍🏼 I gotta send ya mine for my 2012 Ram 3500 to make one ! Is there a way to get all OEM functions to work with iPad ? Like backup camera and rear entertainment system
What I don't understand is why a customer wants a tablet that is obviously too large for their dash. It blocks the vents and climate controls. A slightly smaller tablet would have fit so much better. Nice work, Doug. 👍
What do you think of kickers street line up. 7" and 9" mid bass square, along with thier L7 series. What's your thoughts on using these Ina system? Great play by play video. Give me a noise.
"It should be super hard, rough it up, and then u can apply the body filler." - she "I'm applying it with my small spreader" -Doug 🤣 good thing you had your safety hand while using that table saw buddy! 🤣 different video, but cool to see the whole process. Plus we'll take what we can get since u don't make videos anymore DOUG! 😆
WHAT UP DUDES?!?!!?🙌🙌🙌 View time stamps and material list in the video description. Let me know what you guys think of the new how to video! See you all again soon!!
👍
This is industry. Can't stand the poser Amazon salesmen
You need to use Epoxy Clay that will replace all the steps you are doing as you can sand and build out everything and no need for the plastic or bondo !
Great walk thru!
All we needed was the added sound effects on the finished product!!

I will have to make a pic of it, but its crazy he used that much padding
How did the hole Doug cut match with the factory radio?
Do you have socials with finished pics of it? I have a 2019 also and want this done so bad!
Does the ipad have reverse camera?
How much did he charge you?
It's always really impressive to see your finished products in your Shorts but to see the process broken down is even cooler.
I've been watching your channel ever since you were in the first shop. Always dig the content. Keep it up, Doug. ✌🏼
THANK YOU 🙏
@@soundman_caraudio I’m interested in one of these for a 2017 Toyota Tacoma want to keep the oem touchscreen behind the iPad are you in California?

Quality video Soundman...I'm old enough to remember Camera Boy...those were the days...kids grow up so fast...again very nice how to...

I love this. It's the first time seeing you serious and breaking down your craft. I truly enjoyed it. Thanks for the education.
That turned out really nice! I was skeptical in the beginning and was thinking, “why not just get a smaller ipad?” Because of how it covered the vents but you definitely made that look like it belongs there. Good work, Mr. Soundman. 👏
I was thinking the same thing. But it looked awesome and professional.
I love watching you close large gaps.
Doug appreciate you taking the time to do this step by step session thank you
I hope to one day get my whole car stereo system done by you. I trust and believe in the SoundMan way🔥
You will learn my young padewan….you will learn…And you’ll miss your car for about a year!!!😂😂😂
The Man, The Myth and The Legend, workin his magic.
We got serious Dougie here in this one. Master of his craft at work.
He's back!!! Thanks for the total break down of doing an ipad dash!
Perfect job!
The final result looks amazing.
You are a true artist, I always enjoy watching your creations come to completion. Thank You for teaching us!
Damn dude, that looks amazing. I appreciate your level of attention to detail. You the man Doug.👍
one of the best fabricators in the game
Are you even participating in the bass van build off?
Great work Doug. Me and Russell just watched this episode together and we both think this is the most professional video you've ever made
Worried when I first started watching video. Giving away all your secrets? But guaranteed no one‘s gonna come close to your skill and technic. A++
Honestly, I like any video you do so any notification from Soundman is a good day!
The Bob Ross of auto body work. That’s a lot of work.
Exceptional work, Professor Soundman. You really churched it up, too.
Stunning workmanship, and superb end result. I love the way you present these guides.
Looks awesome! I just have a question regarding the single din. How is the HU going to be mounted? It would have to be mounted behind the dash bezel in order to clear the iPad?
That craftsmanship is world class. Keep up the good work! Now can we resume back to regular bullshittery please 😁
Ive been waiting for a in depth vid on dash mods..go ahead Sensei!..eyes wide open👀
dude your a master at that and hope you and your family are well God Bless

Toyota couldn't have done it better! That's a sweet mod!!
That was the best damn episode of Soundman I’ve seen in years. And don’t take it wrong I’m a huge fan. You’re very funny. I just really enjoyed learning these steps. Thank you!!
Great work as usual Doug, just a slight hint of the old Soundman in there🤙🏼🤙🏼🇦🇺
This is an amazing video! Thank you for the in depth look at the incredible work that you do!
there is only one soundman, super work
I hope you're charging $10k+ to do these, brother. I can't imagine the amount of time you're putting in for each one. I wash the exterior of houses with bleach and a hose at $200-$500hr (depending on the customer) and literally ANYONE can do it. All the best, brother. 10/10 work.
Great video Doug! Don’t know how I missed it. But VERY informative and great watch !!
Don't you have a Rafa for this? Also, this seems like a good way to ignite the fumes!
It matters what you do Doug! Master indeed.
Your attention to detail is amazing. I wasn’t expecting it to look as factory as it did when you finished. I can’t imagine how much this cost and the amount of labor hours put in.
That is looking so good! You are the dash mod wizard! GOD DAMN!
I've followed you since the beginning and you have always done a damn good job !!!

Great job e the only thing I don’t agree with is you need to sand the fiberglass before you put body filler on. I guess what works for you
You are a master. Awesome work.
Great how to video Doug.
Love the step by step process on fabing up a dash kit! It's stunting!
Will you be at Slamology? I'll 👀 you there:)

Dude you know WTF you're doing. Looks great. Love to see a follow up with pics or video of it installed.
Nice work shits clean af but we need more bass van vlogs
That respirator looks pretty cool...does it take the p100 or equivalent filters? Looks like it would fit under my hood real well for welding
Nice work 👍🏼👍🏼 I gotta send ya mine for my 2012 Ram 3500 to make one ! Is there a way to get all OEM functions to work with iPad ? Like backup camera and rear entertainment system
BTS Level: unparalleled.
(Better Than Stock)
4:46 I could swear Doug was starting to "Oouhhhhh"
Wow. Leave it to the Pro! 👏
What I don't understand is why a customer wants a tablet that is obviously too large for their dash. It blocks the vents and climate controls. A slightly smaller tablet would have fit so much better.
Nice work, Doug. 👍
looks good. like it was made for it!!!
You are an incredible dude!!
What do you think of kickers street line up. 7" and 9" mid bass square, along with thier L7 series. What's your thoughts on using these Ina system? Great play by play video. Give me a noise.
I think the algorithm got him too, not a single 🐓 joke on this episode 🤔
Beautiful work!
"It should be super hard, rough it up, and then u can apply the body filler." - she
"I'm applying it with my small spreader" -Doug
🤣 good thing you had your safety hand while using that table saw buddy! 🤣 different video, but cool to see the whole process. Plus we'll take what we can get since u don't make videos anymore DOUG! 😆
