  • Hey guys!
    This week I bring you a super chill video, cause I want to draw some doodles and just talk to you!
    I did a Q&A on Insta, and these are some of the questions I got.
    I'm using an LEUCHTTURM 1917, which was sent to me for free, for me to test out and give my feedback to them, but they said I could do a review about it as well. I really like the paper, and it's nice enough that I want to use it, but chill enough that I sweat over ruining it 😂

    I love watching you get messy with ink and seeing all that ink stain on your hands! It makes me so happy when people get all into their materials that's why dirty palettes are so aesthetic and motivating to me.

      I actually always loved getting just messy with paint! My mom would scold me when I didn’t want to wash the paint from my hands(and sometimes face), but it just made me happy!

    Yeah! Thank you for answering my question! I’ll try ferries wheel ink soon and look for a fountain pen too!

    As you know, I was very excited to know your opinion on this sketchbook! I was hoping to maybe buy it but I wanted honest feedback first ahah 😅Seeing you test it, I'm pleased because it seems to handle ink fairly well and it appears to tolerate the pages being used on both sides.
    Joanna's washi tape is SO cute! Waiting for mine to arrive eheh. Inês question was really interesting and it was awesome knowing your experience with brands and getting supplies to test! The illustrations you did looked really cute ^^ I get what you mean with feeling the need to do more doodles, I definitely feel the same! I guess if you try to do a little daily doodle session could be a nice way to start getting in the mood to dodle more!

      Awww you're so cute! Yeah, I'm pretty happy with how it takes most of the materials I use! I can do light washes of wet mediums and it took acrylic surprisingly well!
      RIGHT?? I'm such a fangirl when it comes to Joana's stuff! I honestly cried when I saw her sketchbook for the first time in real life - I know, its scary how much I love her work.
      Thanks! I was a bit scared to answer since I'm not super experienced yet, but it might be nice info to have ! And thank you! That's actually a great idea, and I really want to do that on this sketchbook! That and also practice more anatomy! That's also a video I want to make!

    Are these papers can handle light wet media like ecoline and tombow markers? Thanks for the review 🤍

    Glad to see the paper is holding up to your lovely art. Do you find that the white paper is bright white or a creamy white? It is hard to tell on camera/my iPad. Thanks.

      It is! I use it to do art to relax ❤️❤️ I think it’s a bit of a mix? It’s definitely white, but warm? But for sure not as creamy as the moskeline paper!

    Hey thanks for the review! Nonetheless I have a concern 🤔 I ordered it (and arrived today) but... When I turn to a new page I can actually see everything through the previous one 😬 why is that so? In your video it seems nothing filters through. Mine has a black cover but is 150 gsm as yours. I'm quite perplexed at the moment :-(

      @BiahibuscuArt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! What materials did you use? Yeah, I haven’t had any issues with mine so far, it holds pretty well

      @@BiahibuscuArt I was filling the first page with an ensemble of little squares from different media (is that the plural of medium in art?) so ballpoint (gel) pen, pencil, brushpen and highlighters. All of them could be seen turning the page. And the ink figures slightly slightly even after 1 more page you could tell something was there (because the view was not 100% uniform) :-/ If it's a practical way to go I may forward a simple picture via email or social, so you see and understand better
      Btw one curiosity: I have a different block of 200g/sqm paper and that filters completely. 2 sheets of this sketchbook (for a total of 150+150 gsm) filters at least 90% but still less. It seems we can conclude that the value of gsm isn't always proportional to filtering power...

    • @BiahibuscuArt
      @BiahibuscuArt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah totally send a pic my way 🌟
      The gsm can be quite subjective in some papers? I had ordered some paper of 300 gsm and when it got to me I was really surprised! It was really thin and not strong at all
