EBAY $80 SUBFRAME BRACE + RED CARPET INSTALL

Installed a rear subframe brace, replaced my destroyed driver side axle and grinding the block some more so it wouldn't happen again and installed some red carpet in the coupe. Car has really been coming along!

**For everyone who thinks they didn't provide the correct 2 long bolts for the subframe brace** you have to break off the existing welded nut on the subframe which is fairly easy using ratchet/correct socket then use the nut provided in the kit for the 2 long subframe brace bolts because the 2 long bolts in the kit is a different thread pattern it will feel like it works if you didnt break the nut off but all you're doing is stripping the bolt into it.

I had the same kit bushings went bad 3 months later also the same issue you had with that long screw I ran into the same issue so anybody that’s reading this try to get better hardware and new bushings if you’re thinking about getting the eBay lca I suggest getting the nice powdered coated ones and replace the bushing atleast a month later !

when you install them did you drop the car first then tighten up the control arms so your Bushings don’t blow

Yeah but they still got destroyed quick. I wouldn't buy ebay LCA but the subframe brace is solid.

You’re right, it’s upside down. Take a Jack to it slowly and it’ll line up.

Did you ever replace the bushings? Just installed my eBay kit for a 5th gen mirage and eBay is all we have .. a lot of old heads said they snap

You can watch a couple of my recent videos to see how I drive the car, it's pretty harsh 😂. I wouldn't take it through the canyons without replacing those bushings. They should be immediately replace tbh.

When you run the QSD H2B kit you have to grind the back of the block for axle clearance.

i have the same setup and the lower control arm bolts don't go in all the way. like it's way off.

Well a lot of people told me mine were on upside down. But I tried the right way and it was like they wouldn’t fit.

The bushing that go where the coilovers mount are already completely blown out lol. Other than that they're holding up fine. I would suggest replacing those bushing before you even install the arms with some energy suspension bushings or something.

The subframe itself is decent quality but the hardware is kinda trash and the bushings in the Lower control arms are absolute garbage. Feel like plastic.
