That rule varies from course to course. At some places it's up to 6" and at others it's up to 1 club head length. From my experience, it seems like the one club head rule is more common.
I've played this course a ton. Unfortunately, it is really run down compared to how it was in the early-mid 90's. It used to be a Putt-Putt Golf and Games before this.

Now if this was mini bowling (Skeebowl) Id bet everything I own on Elisha ;). Ive seen some oldy courses in my time but I think this one takes the cake.

I use to play mini golf there as a kid, but both courses were very different when I use to play there.

In golf, you're supposed to drop the ball knee high or below then play it out from there when it goes out of bounds

18 like other courses, but it is the design that gives it away as a former putt putt course. This one has been modified.
