It's very likely that the seagull and iguana thought the golfball was an egg and attempted to eat it.

Golf would be even more interesting if they allowed a "Nature strikes" rule, that said if a wild animal moved the ball, it counts.

@@furydeath - Until it stops. Once it stops, your turn has ended. I can't just go kick your ball off the course and say "you hit it at some point during this game, so it's in play no matter what". If the ball had hit a turtle and bounched off, that most likely would've have counted as part of his play.
If they did someone would train a duck or something to grab the ball and bring it close to the hole or something

So what happens to the ball dropped in the lake by the seagull? Is that hard luck for the player, does he lose a point and drop a new ball about where it originally landed? I'm never going to play golf, but that stuff is still interesting.

Yep, a softshell, and by the size, it's a female. Females are much bigger than males. Softshells rarely leave the water, and usually it's only the females when it's egg-laying time.

Honestly, Sand Hill Cranes are so funny. We have them everywhere in Florida and they’re oddly friendly. There’s a mated pair on my college campus who just had a chick, but they’ve followed me across campus before until I went inside. They’re very sweet and curious birds.

Other Alligators more than likely. Its not uncommon for other alligators to mistake their legs as fish and rip them off for food.

Nino Brown Providing he or a player in the same group saw the bird remove the ball (camera man or crowd dont count) he may place it where he thought the ball was taken.
Iain Stewart Looked that one up in the rules. If a ball at rest is moved by an outside agent, a new one may be replaced at the spot where it was moved from.

This is the great thing about the "slow" sports like Baseball and Golf. They give you time to enjoy the little things. And sometimes the very large man-eating things, too.
I think the funniest one is where the bird is trying to pick up the microphone and he was mad that he couldn't. So funny and adorable.

Back in the mid-1980's, when I was a teenager growing up in SE Pennsylvania, a friend of mine worked weekends as a caddie at a local country club, and on Mondays, caddies could use the course for free and invite their friends. A few holes were closed off due to maintenance, so while we couldn't play all 18, we could get a good 15 in for free. On one hole I was driving off the tee and hit a Canada goose in the beak with my drive. The fairway was well above the tee at the top of a hill; the drive hugged the ground all the way up and then SMACK. We all could hear it. The bird flipped head over heels, shook off the near-death experience, and walked away fine.
I saw a video of a guy driving his ball through a duck midflight. Wasn't even his fault. The duck chose a poor time to takeoff. The duck immediately dropped right back into the water dead.
My uncle and I were in a scramble tournament at a 9 hole course I was taking lessons at. He teed up and hit the tree branch right in front of him. I decided to sit in the golf cart with my mom while waiting for this other guy to play through. He hit the bench, ricocheted off of it and hit the cart. I would have gotten hit had I not been inside. A fox ran out onto the driving range there once.
Is this a TV nature show, or what? Just kidding. It was funny. Golf and nature is a nice combination. Keep swinging!

Where I played golf growing up, the magpies and the crows were just about the biggest hazard on the course. Where I play now, it's the kangaroos.
