Just turned 23. Seems like the algorithm brought me here. As me and my friends transition from school to working life, it’s strange. You realize that people just kind of stop talking to each other, there’s less socializing, and you only really keep up with a few close friends. Lots of nights are spent alone, wondering like you said, if anything will get better. Yes, it’s pretty lonely sometimes, and maybe it’s supposed to be like that. We lose ourselves and find ourselves alone, and it gives us a deeper sense of who we are when nobody else is around.
I agree. We truly discover who we really are in this. An older woman I talked to yesterday about this very topic told me that she had felt the same when she was my age. Now, after decades, she can't seem to remember the feeling of loneliness. She really doesn't seem to crave social connection as much.
Basically, when we think about it, the feeling of fear arises in the absence of connection with others. If we recall some situations when we felt fear as social beings, we would come across this kind of answer.
Somehow being so far away from you, sitting alone at night with a coffee I felt like I'm talking to a close friend who understands me well. Thank you for that experience. I wish you the best.
@@xbound2clownxHey. First of all, thank you so much for watching and for the nice words. Being among people helps me, even though I don't necessarily interact with them. If you don't struggle with social anxiety, maybe you could even go up and talk to a couple of people. Simple interactions with kind strangers can really make our day sometimes. Wish you the best!
your still cute :) self pity and living in the past isn't going to help you , I learned to live in the moment and you realize you have so little time we never get bored or lonely feeing. but of course I could use you as a friend :)
I forgot to add the ending of 'Into The Wild' into this scattered monologue.
'Happiness is only real when shared.'
Stay safe. ❤
