Resumed sewing after 30 years in 2020. I have found it interesting how much of a mind game it can be. I didn't see that coming!😄
Keep up with your videos, they are good content!

I'm so glad you've returned to sewing, and I'm glad you have found my videos. More will be coming especially over the summer.

Thanks Sarah for sharing your experience. I too have been in a slump and wondering what to do about it. You have given me something to think about.

I hope you can get out of your slump! I also have a class-length video on PatternReview.com about Sewing Frustration, just in case that might help you. Hopefully with some thinking you can figure out what's holding you back and get yourself going again!

Where can we get the pattern for the shirt/top you are wearing? So cute!

    Which pattern is that ?

It's a pattern that I developed from my tried 'n' true t-shirt pattern, which has evolved over quite a few years. I initially copied a store-bought tee, made a mockup, and refined the fit, using an armscye dart for the bust shaping. To develop the swing pattern, I rotated the armscye dart to the hem (and "left" it there as fullness rather than sewing a waist dart), plus added a bit more swing; on the back I rotated my neck dart to the hem, plus added a bit more. The neckline is one that I developed for myself. I recently gave a live video class on how I rotated the darts, and I've been thinking about making a free TH-cam video on it because it's both easy and really fun. I'll add it to my list. Also one about developing necklines.

Can we order the pattern of the shirt you are wearing?? Really like it😊

I developed the pattern for the shirt I'm wearing over time, using my darted (armscye darts) t-shirt master patterns. I then developed the neckline -- a soft V-shape. And after making a few of those, I rotated the front bust darts and the back shoulder darts to the hem, and left the fullness there for a swing top. Even though the top is not based on a commercial pattern, I hope that knowing how I developed this particular pattern helps you.
