IVF injections are stressful! No one really talks about that part of it. The injection part where you panic because you don't know what the crap you are doing! YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!! Unless you are in the medical field - chances are you have had or might have a similar experience to this. Keep reminding yourself that YOU GOT THIS!!!!!! YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!!! Hi Carissa. It is so good that you are posting these videos of IVF injections. You are not alone. IVF injections suck, no matter how many you do. I remember the first butt injection, I cried so hard, I was SO afraid of that needle, I was literally screaming. It got better, but I had to do a total of 231 injections from start to finish to get pregnant/keep the pregnancy. I am 34 weeks along now, but we had to do 7 IUI's, 1 Lap surgery (discovered Endo stage II), 3 D&C's for polyp removals, 2 IVF Egg Retrievals, and 3 embryo transfers in order to get our rainbow baby. I am still terrified something will go wrong, but I am almost there. Don't give up. I am rooting for you two. You have been such an encouragement to me. Sending so much love, Crystal

There is SOMEONE that needs to see this and know they are not alone!! It is NOT easy and you don't see this side of it. Or at least....I haven't. So....gotta share! Truth be told, my mind and heart identify far more with the infertility club than with the pregnant club and the mommy clubs. I feel out of place in a new way - my heart is still with people like you and a friend or two I have that are going through miscarriages.
I am just coming across your comment and I have been dreading Ivf cuz I totally would collapse at the sight of needles. I wanted to ask what you meant by butt needle. Please kindly explain

But I know that others have been through so much more and my heart breaks for you and all the other warriors out there fighting for their rainbows. We got our rainbow in July of 2017 and she made EVERYTHING worth it. I am rooting for you so hard, girl. Keep fighting for your miracle.
Thank you! Really I'm so glad I seen this. Im on a support group for my fertility doctor and I feel like Im so alone with my anxiety of the shots because all I hear is oh there not bad. I didn't have any issue... But I start my cycle very soon; just looking at the meds everyday I start to panic. Thank you!
I wish they had shown you how to do all of this for the first time. Even though I’m an RN I struggled giving myself my first heparin injection🤦♀️ like broke down crying before. Had to sit down on the floor almost passed out. Cried afterwards bc I knew I had to continue the whole pregnancy. I can’t imagine the added stress of teaching yourself all of this and bracing for it! You are so strong! Praying for you and Brian ❤️🌈

girl i started my stims YESTERDAY....no class....no lessons from a nurse...NOTHING ...just “read the attached instructions and links to videos”........very well then! So yea! I feel your pain! You’re a beast!! Very proud of you. Im trying to document mine too so i can look back to remind myself that im a Bad b**** and so are YOU! 😘😘. Us IVF-ers, i tell ya...we are definitely a different breed!! Hugs mama!!!
Ok, first of all, I’m super surprised they didn’t give you a class on how to draw up the meds! Even as a nurse, I was super stressed and not sure of the order of operations, (i kept reading the directions over and over!) but I can’t imagine how stressful it would be if they didn’t tell you how to draw it up. Always draw up the syringe with the vial upside down, and pull back the needle tip of the syringe until it’s in the solution. If you get some air bubbles, that’s ok, just flick the syringe so they float up to the top, (vial should still be upside down), push the bubbles back into the bottle, and then continue to pull more solution out until it’s all drawn into the syringe. Takes so much practice! Obviously this advice doesn’t help now, because I just know you’re going to get your rainbow baby naturally, but maybe it can help someone else! ❤️🌈
Erica Brooks agreed. The nurse didn’t show me how to do that the first time and I was so stressed I took them to work and swore my coworker (who is an RN) to secrecy and had her mix and inject for me lol
Poor thing I wanted so badly to help you. I remember how scary it can be but watching videos online helped me a lot. I promise it gets easier the first few times are the hardest.
Gosh I found it stressful enough and I didn't have to mix up the medication myself. Luckily ours came in pre-filled pens and syringes. You did great, it feels so good once you've done it. Sorry to hear about your loss, fingers crossed your rainbow bub is coming soon.
I know all I need to know about this clinic. If they don’t even show their patients how to do all this and just send them home with a freaking paper. Ugh I’m so frustrated for you!!!! I had to teach my husband how to do all of this, it came easy for me bc I’m a nurse but it was hard to do it on myself.
Omgggggg I watched like 10 TH-cam videos before I even attempted lol. Mixing was only required for our IVF.. thankfully iui's are pre filled syringes 😍 but also many drs prefer certain meds (think marketing) but you can always sell for the alternative
Im still so upset for you that they let you do this like a deer in headlights especially when you flew there by yourself. Guidance and a schedule should have the most initial part of their todo list with you. Ugggghhh~~If all else fails.... thankfully TH-cam has tutorials. Or Google Freedom Pharmacy as they have nice IVF medicine instructions/videos. Awesome job girl~~♡
