This is a great video but I have a slight difference of opinion on one step - when DISconnecting the travel trailer I don't unhitch the safety chains and brake laniard until after the trailer is unhitched. That way, if the chocks don't "hold" or aren't placed properly and the trailer starts to roll the chains and safety brake will keep it from becoming a disaster.
Everybody's got an opinion and I'm of the opinion that these are terrific videos and appreciate them quite a bit.
    Thank you.

That's a valid point. I always chock the tires myself, and never disconnect on a grade, but I will incorporate that safety measure in our training moving forward. Thanks

Generally the last thing I remove when disconnecting from the trailer is the tow chains. In the unfortunate event that the trailer begins to roll away from the tow vehicle the chains will prevent the trailer from rolling out of control perhaps hitting structures, people or rolling off a cliff. Just the way I do it.

That makes good sense. I always chock the tires, and I never disconnect on any type of grade, but I will incorporate this safety measure into our training. Thanks

Thanks. I think I've been doing it wrong, and when I hit a speedbump yesterday the coupler popped off the ball.

thanks for the lesson. Hoping you'll reply to this... This is the hitch and sway bar system I use. I chock the tires and do the steps you do. I have a 6x6 wood block I put under the jack stand to reduce the height needed, otherwise i have to fully extend. The scary part for me is when lifting the hitch up off the ball, the hitch lurches forward as it comes up over the curve of the ball then pops off suddenly and rocks the Rv , sometimes sliding the jack stand toward the edge of the block. So close that I have to reset the hitch, raise the stand, reset the block, and try again. It's scary how it jumps off the ball. Most times I'm by myself. I try to back up to center the ball under the hitch, but always get brake roll when putting in park and can't get the ball centered. Any other tips on fighting the fear of the curvy hitch pop?

Where would I get that pin that goes through the lock. We wasn't told about that.

Do a video to help remove the "wobble" after it's stationary.
