example 9 ,if we negate assumption1 then statement becomes valid . so assumption 1 should be wrong.

Such a nice explanation .....really helped but I have doubt in ques 8 and 9
Q 8 - if person is saying that he behaved like a mad in a particular situation doesn't that mean that he actually has a assumption in this mind that he isn't really mad infact the situation (as mentioned in ques) has made him go out of this ways & behave like a mad .
Infact we can relate it to the real life sceneraio as well we people also say this sometimes and while passing on this statement we also have the same assumption that actually we r not mad but some situation made us behave so at a particular moment.
Q 9 - In this one how come the first assumption can be true coz as u said company is instructing all its workers to reach at 8:30 that obviously while having assumped that they all would actually arrive on time as instructed to them thn how could assuming some will not arrive can be implict in this .
Please if someone could help me with my doubts ..... would mean a lot

Look at it this way, the reason they were instructed in the first place is because they were not coming in time, if all of them came on right time they wouldn’t even put a notice
