You should get together with Felipe and OC to come out with a basic ice machine and cold side restaurant equipment book or guide.

I love those self-contained units, I always end up doing these remote units with like 25 to 30 pounds of refrigerant and they are a pain in the butt to recover.

I just realized that you don't mind huffing a little extra nitrogen but I never see you huffing a little extra oxygen. What's wrong with you? I don't mean everything that's wrong with you, we ain't got that kind of time, but just specifically why you prefer to huff N2 over O2. Great vid. Good job. You omitted the cleaning of the coil, that is my trigger. Damn.

Do you ever thinking of adding a couple extra OZ to accumulate for the hoses and the little gas you loose when you pull off the gauges ?

instead of using long hoses on the ice machine, could you use wireless probes instead? Maybe use a valve core depressor and access tee to check and charge?

Good job Dave. You can keep the super tech Badge, only because it is you. Don’t get you used to that 😂😂. One question do you know the reason why Hoshizaki decide to run the condenser fan during harvest on some of the recent model? I worked on a KM-901MAJ, I was confused until I checked their manual.

Hoshizaki Ice machines waste more water than any other ice machine on the market. Yes they produce good ice, but as you are here in Cali., as I am, this is not water compliant in Cali. ALL HOSHIZAKI ICE MACHINES need to go away, per water compliance requirements.

Still wondering where we can protest these white cans of gas...maybe we can call it systemically racist and watch it get reverted quickly, 😂😂
Great vid Dave, good tip for me to keep in my notes
